It's interesting that the remake shows you the entire contents of a lair when you scout it for the first time. In the original you only got information about the most powerful unit type, so it might say there are giant spiders, but you wouldn't know that there are also some war bears until you started the fight. Sometimes it was worth sending in a cheap unit by itself just to determine the exact composition of the defenders.
Played the original for hours on end back in the day. I want to purchase this remake, but I saw they didn’t add the option of watching your armies auto-battle, which is one of the features I really enjoyed.
@@Tubalcain422: Oh, you can? I guess it just seemed you couldn’t because of the percentages and stats I would see pop up in videos. It seemed like it was an automatic calculation but not a cinematic experience.
@@thx10050 i am not sure if this is what you meant, but you can choose to battle yourself and then switch to auto-battle when you get into the battle. The AI takes over. It isn’t a replay of the auto battle, which may be what you are talking about.
Love this game. But you're paying $50 for what basically amounts to a graphics upgrade over the original. I'm gonna wait until the price comes down to at least half that.

I'm glad for this change cuz that sounds so tedious.
Careful with that daylight savings time, messing up your sleeping schedule increases heart attack chance a lot.
absolutely love the art, we need more with this aesthetic

You can watch them auto battle. Not sure where you heard you couldn’t.

Simtex did Master of Orion, the original 4x strategy. Microprose released first UFO:Enemy Unknown. So - all original classics.
I like to think I'm a bit of a beastmaster ... I got a cat. lol Thanks have a good one.
Fantasty Empire Strategy Game? I didn't realize empires were edible.
They're delicious but way too sweet. I much prefer Dark Fantasty Empires, more flavor and bonus antioxidants. =)

RUclips wants to annoy everyone into paying for their premium service by putting ads every 5-7 minutes. Not me, sir!
@Miraak how do you do it in mobile?
❤ the original and this looks good too 🎉
i think microprose also made the 1st x com and its sequel terror from the deep
Myrran Halflings. Adamantine slingers. Enough said.
Always cool to watch a new video from my third favorite streamer
Did somebody say GAAAAAAWBLINS!?
PRAISE ONTINTI!
i prefer the Original game over this meeh art MOM. idk. MOM 1994 is just a masterclass, and i love the graphics more for some reason
seems a lot like Age of Wonders
you mean Age of Wonders seems a lot like Master of Magic.
AoW is basically MoM minus item crafting and map generator.
I thought this game was called Thea 2?
Same developers actually! They're problably reusing the same engine.
Is this some new version of an old game? MicroProse in 1994 created a game with the same title. This old game was great.
It's a remake from what I heard. I haven't played the original but I'm having a blast with the new game .
The game is : magic "master
It hurt me to watch you not attack... ugh
