One of the best things about 90's Spider-Man was that it didn't take any influence from any movies, only the comics. Plus the world-building was amazing

Did the movies even come out at the time? I know there were shows but Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 1 came out in 2002, and the show is referred to as “90’s Spider-Man”

This came out way before the movies and actually if you watch the Raimi trilogy they draw quite a lot of inspiration from this series. Along with Batman TAS this is one of the great 90s kids cartoons.

I like the fact that he doesn't throw a single punch in this whole trailer, like how in the 90's series the animators weren't allowed to have him punch people on screen as they thought it was too violent.
If this was an intentional detail just for this fan trailer then that's pretty cool and a nice callback.

@@IllBeDARNd Yeah once you notice it about the old 90's show it's hard to miss. Quite funny when he often goes to extremes of shooting web at a wall to pull debri onto people, which is arguably worse than just a punch, just to avoid him throwing a punch on screen.
the punch (and blood etc) thing was due to corporate censorship, yet they still did an amazing job with venom and carnage and made an excellent show
