This video features a 2006 Fender Stratocaster, made in Mexico. It's got a great sunburst finish, and it doesn't need a lot of work. We'll perform a few simple repairs and check the guitar out overall. I hope you find it interesting!

Very helpful. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Those are the best ceramic magnet pickups made. They sound very good 👍
I’d agree with that. I’ve always thought they were better than the ones with a single bottom magnet.
Hey, I'm looking into buying a 2003/2004 mexican tele, but it's very different from everything I've seen before. It has a red double bound body. Fender's serial number lookup has no info on it. Do you know if around this time fender manufactured double bound teles in mexico? If you have an email I can send you pictures of it.
I’ve never seen one. If you can’t at least remove the pickguard to look for factory labels and you can’t find evidence of that model online, be cautious.
@ I was able to take it apart. Seems like an original body but was refinished. The neck has the right stamps, the body has the CNC routing but the neck pocket and pickup routing is entirely painted red. I got to confirm it with someone who knew the previous owner who ordered the refin. Thanks!
what polish did you use?
I tend to use Meguiar's car polishes, either 110 (heavy cut) or 210 (lighter cut): amzn.to/4fbrdJH
@@hacksguitarhobby thanks. do you use that on acoustics too? the polish I used to use for the past 25+ years must have gone out of business, since I haven't been able to find it since the Pando.
