- It's day one of our cruise with #autismontheseas and it went so smoothly (except the part when Priscilla decided to be a criminal). We are on The Wonder Of The Seas with Royal Caribbean and it's a beautiful ship! We can't wait to show you around.

Put AirTags in your suitcases when traveling. My cousins flew home from London and their suitcases were left at Heathrow. They had AirTags in them and were able to direct people to exactly were they were.

I’m so paranoid that my clothes won’t show up when I travel that I won’t let anyone have their own suitcase. I put everyone’s things in each suitcase so we all have at least something. Glad to see it showed up!

When you first said Cilla’s suitcase with all her clothes was missing, out loud I said OH NO. You/She were handling it so well. I would have been freaking out. Soooo glad it came. Abby was handling the change(es) in environment very well. Her third(?) cruise and she is like, I got this, no problem! Enjoy!😁

I was kind of bummed we couldn’t join this year due to my husband getting sick, but next year is our year!
He’s finally off the ventilator and has made great progress at rehab, so I’m hopeful he’ll be home in the next month or so, and a year from now he’ll be back and able to enjoy life and allll the activities again! Even if we have to bring a wheelchair along 😊
Hope he is fully recovered soon!
Is the whole ship dedicated to autism in the seas or only a certain amount? I have a sine with high f7nctioning autism as well…we never knew about this autism in the seas ….
Though he and I did our first ever cruise in May ..to Hawaii ..it was a great time

@@michellevincent8338No, not the entire ship but many areas set aside just for those in the program. But you do need to pay for the program/extras.
We priced it out & It would be worth it for us as I have 2 boys; one with ADD/high functioning autism & the other ADHD. But unfortunately it’s beyond our budget atm. We also live on the West Coast so flying really ups the price even more for us. Maybe some time!❤

You both have walk-in closets, which are a JR suite, not a regular room. I had two regular rooms on the Wonder (connecting). We could have put four in one room, but my kids were 10 and 12 back then. A regular room on the Wonder doesn't have a walk-in closet. You didn't book a connecting room, so you can only connect from outside. The Wonder was a great ship but the elevator was a disaster all week. Have fun!
Yes, we have junior suites. That’s what we’ve always booked but on Harmony they had a trundle bed and a bunk. There was a problem with the website while we were trying to book and the rooms available for 4 people weren’t showing. Obviously we had no idea that the website wasn’t working so we just assumed that’s all that was available. It got fixed but we didn’t want to go through any hassle of changing up our reservations.

Even though your passport hasn’t expired yet, a lot of countries require you the have a valid passport until the maximum you can stay. So often your passport has to be valid for another six months. Just like for some cruises, they specify a lot of empty pages needed in your passport. (Believe some countries in Africa require you to have six pages or something to enter).
So in the eye of the countries your passport has expired for entry.
Oh no Isaiah forgot his wallet, wellllll no casino for him. I'm so glad they brought Cilla's bag. She mentioned she is a criminal so they kept her bag because she had something she wasn't supposed to have? I was excited to to Ms Robyn was Abbie's 1:1 again, they worked together well last time. Even trading out the dinning room chair so she would be more comfortable was awesome. Kudos to Ms Robyn!

Isaiah dropped the ball but the casino isn’t out of the question, since he probably has his passport, and a passport trumps every form of ID. C’mon, bub….you gotta win some $$$ for Nanny! LOL

Just an FRY- I cruise several times a year and am disabled… cruise lines will accommodate ANY DISABILITY Like this if you need. You don’t have to set it up even, just mention when you get there
Autism On The Seas is more than just accommodations for disabilities. They provide respite care, assistance at meals, scheduled activities, reserved areas for pretty much every activity and occasion on the ship, etc. It’s pretty impressive all that they do.
@@fatheringautismI wasn’t undermining what they do, it was meant to tell others that don’t have autism but are disabled there are accommodations to get on and off first. There are accommodations to not wait in any lines on the ship. There are accommodations for any food and bev service. They can get you loungers on pool decks in the sun. Didn’t meant to make it sound like AOTS is not amazing and additional.
Just an informational comment, but I can see how you thought I meant different. Apologies.i actually commented it in the beginning of the video w just the fast in and off.

I follow Tim Tracker who cruises the Disney cruises with a 4/5 yr old and a 1 yr old! I am relieved to see a royal Caribbean cruise ship I love your cruise video especially with an autistic teen on board have a great cruise

Asa, glad you liked the snails, the first and only time I had them on the cruise they taste like eating pencil erasers in butter. Great thing about cruising, you can try variety of foods.
I have never eaten snails and never, ever will!

I can’t believe how many suitcases Priscilla has. I would only need one and I would bring three pairs of shoes that’s it and one outfit each day and then some fancy ones confirmed and then pyjamas

Mom and dad don’t be stressed. Abbie is with her big brother and you know Isaiah will make sure Abbie is safe in their own room. Plus, Abbie and Isaiah get to have a party together in their room!
Priscilla, you are lucky on my first cruse they lost my luggage and I did’t get it until the last day ! I did live in tee sheets and washed out my pants every night ! For 7 days! 🐒💕🐢

@@fatheringautism yes it followed the ship 🛳️ until it caught up with us the day before we landed. That was fun and that’s when the cruise ship found out that they needed to supply more clothing in larger sizes instead of size 5.6.7.8’s for a little chunky monkeys.
Air tags in all your luggage when traveling will help you locate where it is exactly should it get lost.

My suitcase went missing once on a cruise, it accidentally was delivered to another room!
We were just on this ship in January!! So glad you got your bag, I had the same issue once and they bought I had something in there not allowed but all was okay. Panic for sure when I did not get it right away.
In Feb I'm goin on my 1st cruise to Bahamas and Jamaica can't wait

Family cruise with 13 of us (4 generations) my bag finally showed up at 10:30 pm yikes! Tell Priscilla to buy a cooling blanket. Just got one and LOVE!!! Don’t need the fan anymore!

Y’all need to put I-tags in each luggage so you can tell where they are. I have traveled all over and it great to know where your luggage is when traveling. Also when you show up and your luggage doesn’t you can know where it last was.
This is the cruise that helps individuals who have Autism? Looking forward to more videos! Will there be future cruises like this in the future? I am a Special Education teacher, and would love to pay for a company that helps people who have a disability.

I’m stoked for you guys. Thanks for sharing all the details. Someday hopefully we can get our extremely high strung young man on an AOTS cruise. The rest of us just got off a cruise and as the husband I had to bite my lip over all the packing and planning leading up to the cruise. Did I hear right from a previous video that you’re going to St. Thomas? If so, that’s awesome. I love it there going all the way back to my Navy days. Are you doing Maegan’s Bay (sp) or taking the ferry over to St. John?
I took my family on a cruise in June without Autism on the Seas. The debarkation day was so horrific that I am afraid to take my son again even though he loved it. I can't imagine trying again without more accommodations in place.

Yes our first cruise ever was in May …and I did a lot of research but embarkation day was a bit nerve wracking ..after 20 hrs travel two nights in a hotel a cab and a transfer and then onto the ship just myself and myself and my son …but it all worked out …and my son had a fabulous time on the ship …every excursion people were yelling out his name ….seems like everybody knew him !

Most cruise ships want your passport to still have 6-8 months before the real expiration date.

That happened to my mom on jewels of the seas. Her suitcase never made it to the ship before leaving port. They had to miss one of the dress up dinners, however Royal Caribbean did give mom a gift card to buy some clothes. At the next port, her suitcase was waiting for her.

On the very first cruise my husband and I went on, when they loaded it on to the cruise ship they dropped my husbands suitcase off the belt into the water. We spent hours waiting for it ( he had rented a suit) so they washed everything but we never got some of the stuff back but they paid for us to replace it.

I’m sitting here watching you all & realized I am all tensed up; worrying about Priscilla’s bag. 🤷♀️
I went away with my autistic son for the one and only time without dad and my suitcase didn’t arrive until 2 days before we were coming home then my carry on got left at the hotel on the way back . I will never do that again lol . I was lucky that I’m really chatty ( for once ) as whilst waiting for transportation to the airport I got talking to a couple and they noticed my hand luggage was in the road as the van left , then half way through the 2 hour transfer my phone went it was the lady I was talking to and she said she had enough room in her case and when they left 2 weeks later she got all my luggage in and when she got home she sent my luggage back through the post . I sent her a lovely bouquet of flowers
I’ve always wanted to know if you can feel the boat rock while you’re on the ship.
Do they have menus with food photos be nice if a non verbal person can point to what they want a bit of independent for ordering there own food plus there options of what's on offer is there Infront of them saves repeating the options and sometimes it can cause confusion
I know Abbie has sections on her iPad with food and photos on but that still means flicking through by types of food but if there was just the menu if saves there be options showing on pad that aren't on menu

They have the same menus that most places do.
Abbie, I am 50 yrs old and I still cross my legs everywhere I go too. My family makes fun of me because I am short (5”2) and my feet don’t hit the ground anywhere I sit.
