@34:29 Sapp baptizes Chester into the league... holy shit!
Beautiful tribute to an amazing player and man in Johnny Unitas before the game. I'll never forget this game because I remember the entire football world lost a GREAT man that week in Unitas and I only got to see a tiny bit of this game. We got the Giants game against whomever they were playing that day in my viewing region. Still, the tribute brought a tear to my eye!! RIP #19 Johnny Unitas!!
Yeah man!
These were the top 5 defenders for the Bucs in this game:
Ronde Barber: 5 Tackles, 3 Solo, 6 Passes Defended.
Derrick Brooks: 4 Tackles, 2 Passes Defended, 1 Interception, 1 Touchdown.
Alshermond Singleton: 10 Tackles, 6 Solo, 1 Pass Defended.
John Lynch: 6 Tackles, 4 Solo, 1 Pass Defended.
Shelton Quarles: 6 Tackles, 3 Solo.
4:26 Ray Lewis “shaken up” on the play. In 2021 that’s called concussion protocol.
Progress
Sheeesh looked like goldberg in wwe
Mike P is the man die hard bucs fan since I was a kid come to these games to relive the glory days. Hopefully some more are the on the way
Thanks brother! Hopefully soon!
The Ravens still did not adapt to the evolution of the defense at the time. They continued to play the 3-4 formation, while all the other teams were implementing a 4-3 defense.
Thanks for these classic games brah. Real talk!! I enjoy watching all of them.
You're welcome!
It’s 2023 now, this is still the last time Baltimore has been shut out in a game.
Yeah this is what I came here for. How is this such an underrated streak? Or is not? I just learned about it
Amazing game man that defense was legendary, but man it's kinda frustrating that we only have 1 super bowl with that defense, our offenses prevented at least 2 o 4 more super bowl wins
JDBass36 Yeah man. Just imagine if we had average/middle of the pack offenses that actually helped the defense. We would have 2-3 Super Bowls.
Yup! We didn't enough offense to help us to get multiple Super bowls.
You can blame Dungy for that
I feel you. I'm a Ravens fan it's amazing how similar Tampa and we were during those years.
Ravens laid a big O egg in this game!
lol big time.
Oh yeah, the death of Johnny Unitas and Gruden´s first win as a Buccaneer plus the great locker room speech by John Lynch.
Yep!
34:21 Warren Sapp with a body slam on Chester Taylor’s first NFL carry results in a 15 yard penalty.
Mike P...Another great one bro...Thanks.
Ric Henriquez you're welcome brother!
Mike P, thanks for all these buc uploads!
You're welcome brother!
Either Ronde Barber or Derrick Brooks were easily the best players of this game.
The Bucs played the AFC Central, renamed AFC North, in both 2001 and 2002. The difference was that in 2001, the Bucs did not play the Browns, but the Titans (moved to AFC South) instead. The venue assignment for the Ravens game was reversed from 2001 to 2002. The venue assignments for the Bengals (road game) and Steelers (home game) games remained the same in both years.
hell yeah I've been asking you to post this for a while. You finally found it
The Bucs helmets kept flying off in this game, Derrick Brooks’s in particular.
You are a boss for posting these Bucs games
Thanks bro!
Enjoy and be sure to subscribe!

What a matchup!! The bucs showed they're the real defensive team
Thanks Mike for uploading this game....this one set the tone for the season...especially that Sapp play on the RB...can u try to upload more games from 2002 season especially Falcons home game with Vick...thanx
AmaZment717 You're welcome bro. This defense was legendary! Stay tuned for more videos, you won't be disappointed👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿.
Whats funny was Tampa they played the ravens the year before when they were SB 35 Defending champs and still had one of the best defenses in the league. In 2002 due to the leagues new division alignment they played ravens again expect this time they played a salary capped ravaged team that had to purge alot of players to get under the cap.
Yeah man I realized that too.
Holy chit! Just found your channel and I want to say thank you. You're the man Mike!
Thanks bro. Be sure to subscribe! More vids coming soon!
One of the few games I was able to watch that year had to work most Sundays because people were calling out at my previous job
I feel ya man. The entire 2002 Bucs wins are up on my channel now.
The first of many Derrick Brooks touchdowns that year
He would have had more, he had 1 in the Falcons game called back.
2:21:57 The Strokes-Last Nite (the music playing in the stadium). This song still rocks to this day.
Nice Mike another Sam Rosen classic Remember when Johnny Unitas passed. He was such a great qb
If we had the offense that we have now with this defense we would of had 3 rings instead of one
I think we would too! Especially '99 when we got cheated against the Rams.
1:34:44 Jamal Lewis fumbles then a scramble for the ball results in a Safety for the Bucs and a 15-0 lead.
do you live in Florida because if you do you need to meet up with me at a game this season
mike p you are the boss of alllllll bosses.
Vincent Wright Thanks man! Be sure to subscribe!
2:47:55 - Derrick Brooks 96 yard interception return for TD.
This Ravens roster looks very different compared to their previous showdown Tampa in December 2001. Baltimore lost a LOT of big guns.
They still sucked so no big difference really
34:22 Chester Taylor’s first ever carry in the NFL results in a Warren Sapp takedown.
40:56 Wait, so you are saying that Matt Stover could not kick a 53 yard field goal?
that chris Redman quarterback for the Baltimore ravens back then he should have been a Garbage truck driver instead of a NFL quarterback no disrespect to Tampa bay defense of the early 2,000's because they were beasts
Yeah I feel you man!
DoTampa Bay Buccaneers @ New England Patriots Week 1 2000 the Buccaneers won the 1st game of the season but can u try uploading it please???
I will try and find that game!
Ray Lewis , ED Reid, Warren Shapp, Derrick Brooks, John Lynch talk about defensive legends.
This will be the Superbowl match up this season.
Ronde Barber and Simeon Rice as well.
The tributes To Johnny U

1:50:00
2:33:00
2:54:00
2:09:18 Credit should go to both Shelton Quarles and Alshermond Singleton for making the tackle.
33:12 The best song ever.
These commercials would get FOX cancelled in 2024.
Question, if the Bucs beat the Raiders only because Gruden coached them the year before, does that mean he coached all the other teams the Bucs beat that season ? Just wondering.
I guess? lol
@@gymbrown911 yeah, I know they beat them because they were a lot better than the Raiders, not because of who coached them. Just asking people who know nothing about the game because they cry that's the only reason they won.
I say they're daft.
@@carllawton94 I mean, I still think the Bucs were better. Back then a great defense always beat a great offense. But obviously we knew their playbook so they had no chance. Probably would've been a closer game.
1:02:18 Give credit to both Anthony McFarland and Warren Sapp for creating the pressure.
Sam Rosen/ bill mass are the best
richyque Rosen is awesome!
28:31 Karl “The Truth” Williams with a Punt return for a TD..
1:20:00 Simeon Rice nearly returns a blocked kick for a touchdown.
1:53:43 Anthony McFarland’s trademark dance.
40:52 Warren Sapp says, “No.”
1:51:48 Give credit to Anthony McFarland for creating the pressure.
A young Terry McCauley was refereeing this game.
2000 Ravens defense was better than the 02 Bucs D. But the Bucs were the better team all around
9:49 Gramattica opens the scoring with a FG.
2:29:08 Give credit to Anthony McFarland for creating the pressure.
you're fucking awesome Mike p.
David Kushmer Thanks man! You know I aim to please!
I believe Redman should have to change his name
2:09:03 Terry Bradshaw gets stepped on by a robot.
1:54:03 Offensive lineman gets away with a no call face mask penalty.
2024 update this is still the last shutout against the rat bird ravens to this day on there way to Superbowl
Damn! We (Baltimore) call that 💩 an offense?
1:50:49 Easy, easy, easy.
Ravens got smashed 😂😂😂
Lol skunked!
Mike P lol yeah
Man even back then they were talking about how the game was getting soft.
