I have one pair that I got last year and I'm happy with it. It developed a small leak so I called Ian and he gave me some ideas on how to find the leak and how to fix it and asked me if I wanted to return it and get a new one. I was able to find it and fix it. This year I fell hard on my knees while getting my kayak on top of my car and had a small tear on the left knee pads but it saved my knees from getting cuts and no holes in the waders. This company stands behind its products. I had the chance to visit their place in VA last year and planning to visit them again this year and get me some additional merchandise.
Just got my new high n dry waders today! So excited for trout opener April 6th! I loved the fact that they had my size, and they were nice enough to go through my measurements on the phone with them, and set me up with the right size!
@FAFO_24 pretty damn good! No tears yet, or leaks. I've been out numerous times anywhere from knee deep to up to my ribs. I also have their thin underlayers for the colder water. Walked through thorn bushes and everything!
@FAFO_24 like I said about the underlayers, they have clothes. Skin layer pants, socks, thin shirt, and a hoodie that has a built in face mask as well. Where I am, April 6th can still be a bit of a bitch lmao.
@@HokeOutdoors No we hunt in Cattails and Weed Beds . Just the area we hunt in there are some places you could hunt wading and I don`t have a Dog either .
I'm guessing it's so you can choose how high your belt is, but you only use one. Being that they are off center. So are mine. Like a high or low based on your preference/ comfort
I know this video is three years old but I bought a pair of breathable waders last fall and the third time I wore them they ripped where the right shoulder strap was sewn to the front bib. The stitching goes through the nylon strap into the wader without any reinforcement on the back side. I was tucking my down coat in after pulling on the waders when it happened so no outrageous amount of force was used. It is definitely a weak point that should be made stronger. Other than that I have had no issues.
I'm intentionally trying to put a hole in my Drake's this season to get a pair of these. Heard nothing but good things. Not to mention, I share the same first and last name with the owner! Every time I'm on the Shore and say my name, I get asked "any relation?"...I wish! 😔
Gortex Wader are the best 100%. If you want to find leaks in your waders turn them inside out and spray them down with Isopropyl alcohol where you think they are leaking and a black spot will appear where the hole is, then apply Aquaseal FD Flexible Repair Adhesive where you see the black spots and they are as good as new. Can't do that with Neoprene waders 😉
Bought the breathable and got a hole the very first time I wore them. Three holes in two years. I'm in my 60's so don't hunt as much or as hard as I used to. They are not tough or durable. They've got a good story but that's what it is, a story. Typical wander of that price.

Glad to hear you had a good experience Nasser! Was the leak along a seam or in another part of the wader?
It was at the point where the left rubber boot connect to the waders.
I purchased a pair of High N Dry waders last year on your recommendation! Great waders, thank you!
Glad to hear it John!
I have the neoprene waders and absolutely love them, such a cool brand that really represents the Mid atlantic shoreman lifestyle
Absolutely agree! Hope the neoprenes continue to do the job for you!
@@HokeOutdoors are there any advantage to neoprene or disadvantages to the breathable (I assume they are goretex)?
I've got the neoprene waders and they're awesome. We do a lot of hunts in "slushie" ice water and they hold up well. Thanks for content!
Glad to hear it Calvin! I've used the kevlar on these breathables to break ice with no issues too. Thanks for watching!
I had a few experiences as well, with the kevlar saving my waders and my knees! Great thoughts my friend!
Thanks Joel! I can imagine that some of the types of hunting y'all do is real tough on a pair of waders
Great review!!! I bought a pair this year after seeing you and Joel use em, 4 hunts in absolutely love em.
Thanks Tim! Glad to hear it!

Sounds pretty good Thomas . I have never wore any I only hunt out of my boat and where I hunt the water is usually to deep for Waders . Enjoyed it
That sounds like a dream to be able to stay in the boat all the time! Are you mainly hunting open water down there?

@@chucksmith5002 gotcha that makes sense, lots of gators where you hunt?
Did you hire those 2 squirrels to play on the tree behind you during that?
Lol a few acorns will get you some good background action in these parts!
Loving the content man! Keep on grinding!
Thanks brother! Will do
I bought these waders. Why the slits in the back? Assuming for the belt? There is a upper slit and on lower just off center of the upper one.
Yeah those slits are for the wader belt

Where are they made ?
Are the connectors / snaps where you would shoulder mount your shotgun ?

need to pick up a neoprene jacket they look sick!
I do need to try one of those out! They look legit

I would definitely reach out to them about that! Their customer service is top notch and I'm sure they'd get you taken care of!
They are definitely awesome waders, they got my vote
For sure!

Lol you'll have to report back on that one

Haha good one!

These waders are terrible. Had them less than a year. Seams leak, Kevlar rips easily, and the fit is is terrible.
Sorry to hear that Mike, that's the first negative review I've heard about them
