A magical evening where classical music met dance anthems and the result was quite simply out of this world…
And in just three weeks’ time, it’s all happening again, only this time it promises to be longer, louder and even larger than before….
Saturday 7th October, will see 75 professional classical musicians take to the SSE Arena stage, alongside world-renowned DJ’s Paul Oakenfold, Seb Fontaine and Dave Seaman accompanied by a chorus of live vocalists, produced by Kylie Minogue’s musical director, Steve Anderson and over 9,000 revelers dancing to the sound track of their lives…. for LUSH! Twenty One - 21 Years of Dance Music Classics performed by the Ulster Orchestra.

I don’t expect many outside Northern Ireland understand the magnitude of influence dance music had on the country in the 90s. The average age group of the crowd here is people in their late 30s to early 50s because when they were young and living in Northern Ireland during The Troubles, the civil conflict that spanned over 30 years, one of the few real escapes was the clubs and the dance floor. There you were weren’t Protestant or Catholic but equals and this music was full of joy. Belfast remains a hub of dance music, house, trance.
As such, the likes of Agnelli & Nelson came to exist, absolute gold dance music from Northern Ireland
I went out with a girl from Ballycastle that I met in Weymouth in the 90’s. I went over there and spent a week with her. She Loved dance music, she even had a copy of ‘Children’ by Robert Miles before it came out mainstream. She was absolutely gorgeous, I could go on…. 😊
This tune is absolutely iconic by the people that danced through the early 90’s!

It's beautiful seeing all the performers smiling enjoying it singers of other tracks wanting to play on percussion the orchestra waving instrument around just a fantastic feel good tune with an amazing talented group of musicians and singers more of this in the world please and less negativity doom and gloom ❤
