Thanks so much! A video on making and formatting your own novel is in the works. Were you thinking moreso picture books or novels that are mainly character based?
A blend a book with a lot of illustrations and pictures and comments-credits for each but a narrative that flows and ties it all together. The visual helps the written and vis versa. Language and images are processed in different areas of the brain. The written word and the appropriate image give a deeper understanding- throw in music and you have a cinematic experience.

Nice tutorial! I was looking to organize all my photos and since I'm a graphic designer, create my own photo book. Quick question! If you are using InDesign, and I'm guessing you have Adobe Create Suite, instead of using PixLr, why wouldn't you just use Photoshop? Is it easier to batch process the photos for this type of project?

What about the book covers and the spine?
A really helpful tutorial. How do you make the page numbers appear if the image is full bleed?
I usually create another master/parent page that has a white (or whatever color would work) and assign it to that page

There isn't a perfect one, it really depends on what orientation most of your pictures are in!

How do I add a photo, but keep the existing crop of the photo?
You just have to drag and drop into the rectangular frame with it selected :)
