I just discovered your channel via RUclips’s suggestions. I’m glad I did. I really enjoyed the simplicity and straightforward approach to your video. I’m now a subscriber and will be looking forward to more of your videos.

@@CaffeinatedMiniatures it’s strange, because RUclips didn’t show notifications about your videos and I’m subscribed to the channel with bell button activated 🤔

Damn bro, you're stuff looks great. and loving that sentiment, to "give yourself permission" to just get stuff done and not have to pour maximum effort into ones minis.

This is really awesome and I love this video. I am having a really hard time doing highlights and so far no videos really seem to help me. You being able to do this so quickly makes me very envious

Glad you liked it! What difficulty are you having with highlights? What information are you looking for?

    Thanks for the video!
It gave me a small boost in my motivation of getting Kommandos done!) I've spent near one hour on two minis each and, while I had a decent, breathtaking result for me, now I just want them to be finished as quickly as possible with near the same result.
Too many hours on their skin, I think I can handle the rest faster with your advice.
Thanks again and waiting for the next video!)

The biggest thing for me, is to enjoy it. Yesterday, I painted a single shield for nearly as long as these 20 thralls. Fast or slow, enjoy it! Thanks for watching.

I do like your approach. I invest more time with the contrast paints by thinning them with contrast medium and doing more coats. Having more control and getting a smoother gradience. Especially with the darker colors. After that, I just need to do some texturing and some highlights. Same time but IMO a better result.

If I had contrast medium, I absolutely would have been thinning them to do the same. However, I wasn't going to buy any for this hahaha. Thanks for watching!
