Please talk about How the proposed Kulachal port will affect the Vizhinjam port?
So on one side there is Kerala which wants to shrug off the non-investment friendly tag by executing the project and on the other side Tamil Nadu which has proven track record of Industry friendly policies. So by obvious choice it has bagged 25000 crore for Colachel , four times higher than Vizhinjam which would be a big hurdle for the already much delayed Vizhinjam project. Vizhinjam has got a head-start in the race, but who finishes it depends on the interest shown by the respective State Governments.

Bro im from kanyakumari, but we stayed in madurai for 5+ years . When iam come back for vacation , the climate in kk is vera levl , the clouds, the air which cant tell in words...its during 2010-15. But now its blindly we can see reduce in rain , increase in heat , now its not looking like old kanyakumarii😢😢😢

இன்று மலைகள் காணாமல் போவது வருங்காலத்தில் புயலால் கன்னியாகுமரி பேரழிவை சந்திக்கும். கோடைக்காலத்தில் வறட்சியை சந்திக்கும். இயற்கையால் எப்போதுமே குளுமையான சூழலை 1990 களில் அனுபவித்து வந்த குமரி மாவட்ட மக்கள் இப்போது வெயிலில் வெந்து போனார்கள். இதேநிலை தொடர்ந்தால் வருங்காலத்தில்....?

Definitely we have options, for a port in Oman quay walls are going to be built using big size concrete blocks. Similar alternative shall be chosen for quay walls or for Armour construction. To reduce projecr cost they might have chosen this.

Here in Kanniyakumari there is a drastic climate change. It lost its pristine nature. Apart from rock mining now several bricklins are established in hill Conservation villages on the foot hills of mountain... most bricks are transported to kerala for high price. Some natives itself indulging in this actives for desire for more money..
Mostly exploiting by local mafias with support of District administration esp. mining and Geology Department officials.
Actually to say the rock taken from Tamil Nadu is far away from the mountains found in Kerala. Kerala does not want to destroy their natural resources. They are really good to get it from us. We have to be ashamed off that we give them.
