I have the S4 and absolutely love it. Wires are definitely an issue. IE: Under the headboard of my bed are wires for the bluetooth speakers. I've marked a no-go zone and have had no issues since. One full cleaning, done daily, and I need to clean the bin for it. (I have 2 cats, so lots of fur) Having the replaceable and cleanable filter is a HUGE plus, as well as cleaning the rest of the machine. I feel certain the S7 will do just as good if not better. Shame the moping feature isn't quite up to par. Even so, I may have to upgrade. Thank you for making these videos. I trust your "real world" kinds of tests as opposed to any of the "put it in a box and hope for the best" kinds of tests others post. You are awesome!
@@ricke95126 Thank you. I noticed when cleaning out the cable that got tied up, there were no bristles. I thought maybe there was another brush for sweeping and one for mopping, and maybe it wasn't swapped out. Now I know.
I hope irobot is going to change their corporate direction by selling/licensing their technology to other companys to make the hardware reason why might not seen new roomba in awhile
Ecovacs seems to have bought the licence to use the double roller on the T9. Unfortunately the US doesn't look like it's going to get the T9, which I could see being a concious decision by IRobot.
Here in the US, the comparison is the T8 plus or AIVI as the USA is not getting the T9; also, the T8+ has better object avoidance than the AIVI, and it's the same as the N8 pro. There was no upgrade in sensor tech Time for Adam to update the s9 i7 T8 comparison
I just watched the t8 and this video back to back as they are natural competitors. How do they compare on this test? How do they compare on the pickup test? T8+ on sale is $499 S7 is $610 on sale S7 bin is $199 on sale Total price $810 S7 with bin $810 sale price T8+ $499 sale price S7 %40% more expensive Is the S7 worth the 40% premium?
@@AdamsReviews Without a question just like the s9 cleans carpets awesome or the i6 used for $303 is amazing.. The question is if the s7 with bin is worth the 40% premium in price.. If you are spending YOUR money would YOU spend $499 for the T8 with bin or $810 for the S7 with bin? That is the question after you get the bin... It the S7 $310 or 40% better
The make or break question will be does the s7 base work, i.e., does it clear 100% of the s7s bin capacity as the t8 is limited to 20% of the robots bin capacity by design. The T8 bin holds 2.5 Liters which is 84 o,z, and is rated for 30 days worth of use (which is BS because the app is programmed to send swap bag reminders after x amount of excavation cycles, not what is actually in the bag) the robot bin is 14 oz, 84 oz ÷ 30 days is 2.8 oz per day 2.8oz is 20% off 14 oz the t8 onboard bin. If you have rice or sand, it will clean the whole bin, but if you have real-world debris found in a carpet like carpet fiber, lint, dust, hair, etc.. That gets compresses when sucked into the robot bin; then the limit is 20% Deebot sent an email confirming this. If you go on to FB or Reddit, the loyalist get pissed when you mentioned this; they are not able to be objective and call balls and strikes, but the fact remains Ecovac designed a flawed system designed for eupore and Asia markets that don't have carpets or pets.

Did he run the s5? I would love to see how these things are handling hair?

Head up the s7 does have issues with picking up pet fur, it misses it because of the lack of bristles

I love this channel!

I thought the S7 had a camera on the front to avoid the dog poops? Seeing it do this is very disappointing
Yeah same here. The S6 Max V seems to do better..

The S7 doesn't have obstacle avoidance! So it is a wrong test.
Yes, I just do this test more for fun to see what will happen.

Reason roomba have reversible bars to spit out things like that.
It is clearly intelligent enough to distinguish real from fake poop. ;)
Huh? Where in the test did you discern it cloud tell the difference between real and fake poop 💩
