IMO the trailer did what every first trailer should do, but very few actually manage to do: get you interested enough in the story to want to see more. I walked away from the trailer with questions....why's he bleeding at the start? Who's he fighting? Who's the villian of the film; is it just Lex is it someone else, is it both? How do the other heroes factor in? Etc. This is the first trailer to a comic book novie this year, and the first trailer to a DC movie not set in Matt Reeves' Gotham in years where I can actually say that.
I think my big issue is how it feels exactly like what you would expect from James Gunn. It doesn’t look like something different. It looks like The Suicide Squad. It has a giant goofy CGI monster like in the suicide squad and guardians. It has an animal character like guardians and suicide squad. The more I think about it the more I think James was the wrong choice to lead the DC universe. Have me on Nerd Wars anytime! I watched movie fights all throughout high school and it’s one of the reasons I got confident enough to make my own RUclips channel
great to see move fight back! With fandom recently laying people off, any hope of getting the original movie fights back (with dan, spencer etc) is now gone. The fandom/screen junkie channels are more or less dormant except honest trailers. So im glad andy is at least trying to bring it back.
I am optimistic, just because of Mr Gunn. But the trailer didn't move me as much as I expected. I guess the recent Super/Man is also a factor making most fans emotional about this one.
I think the first shot of him being fucked up was a strong choice because like I said u never see superman in a condition like this because we always see him as unbreakable and this humanizes him a bit
Looks like aimed at Marvel crowd... To bring in Gaurdians of the Galaxy fans... Legacy title was better... And remix of old theme... To bring in older fans... Its not origin story...

100% agree, Cavill's Clark Kent was weak. Too many characters? Ever thought the audience will learn about them at the same time as Superman himself?
