I'm thinking of doing a back-to-basic series for makeup... would this be something you'd be interested in watching?
it absolutely would 😁
Yes of course, im trying to learn the trick that could fit my face and style. So, bring it onn
Lots of love Tina
Definitely a BIG YES! :) Loved today's video Tina! x
Yes I am waiting 😊😊😍😍😍😍😗
I'd watch anything you post. Love your videos
It's so interesting to see how makeup as a whole has evolved. I've done all these before techniques, now that I've moved away from wearing makeup, it's cool that we're always learning new ways to accentuate everyone's unique faces. I'd love more makeup tutorials!
I've been not wearing makeup (save for a couple times a year) for over a decade and it's nice to see these new techniques for when I want to play with makeup again!
Thank you tina for working so hard even while you are pregnant!! You deserve the biggest break after you've had this baby
these are honestly such great tips to accentuate your own features rather than copying a lot of other tutorials which don't work for our own face!!
I honestly always thought it was weird that people would put foindation all over and then go back in to contour. Like why put foundation all over then?😅😅
I don't wear a lot of makeup anymore, but when I do, I do most of these techniques, and pretty much always have. Especially the blush one. I have a small-ish face and not a lot of area, so I've always put my blush up a little higher. I've always worn my eyeshadow kind of winged up and out, especially since I'm getting older just to lift a bit more.
I just bought the Tina Yong Tones and Textures palette by Pixi at Target A couple weeks ago. I haven't had much of a chance to use it, but what I have used, I love. ❤
do remember that this doesnt apply to every feature of every face! But should be a reminder to experiment for yourself
Always genuine with your content... Almost in all these wrong right make technique videos they make the wrong sides extremely wrong to have a dramatic before after comparison... I really appreciated how you kept things completely real and let your improvisations stand out on their own which they didn't fail at. 😊
Wait this was actually so helpful and easy to follow! I’m new to makeup so this was perfect for me 🙏🏽💜
I’m kinda tomboyish and special events used to be a nightmare because I didn’t know how to dress up. Your instructions are so clear and actually delivered. You’ve helped me a lot over the years with your tutorials and now I’m much more comfortable having night outs. Thanks Tina 😍
Tinaaa what lippie are you wearing 😍 love this vid! Will totally try this out!
Who else loves Tina🙌 I’d be happy watching anything you create, especially the Tina Tries It series!!!!!
The Before side actually reminds me of stage makeup, which is so interesting. I think makeup trends as a whole feel like they're moving away from more "glamour" looks and more into Asian techniques which tend to be softer, rounder, and also a lot of blush tones/red tones vs more smokey or brown/"nude"-brown tones (e.g. very noticeable in eyeshadow, I used to only see red or pink eyeshadow in Asian makeup and now I'm seeing more people in the U.S. do it)
I think shades should be determined not just by trends but skintones too. I am no expert but as a South Asian myself, i find it more difficult to pull off reds and pinks...most of us have some shade of brown, tan or golden skintone which makes it easier to pull off earthy or jewel tones...
can u also make a tutorial for beginners basically also telling how to apply eyeliner depending on the eye shape and how to find a good shade of foundation
Amazing video I really would like to learn how to do a smokey eye for a wedding I will be attending in June. And day and night make up looks please
Another great tip I've discovered to elevate and soften my liner, is to put it on *before* my eyeshadow - it not only ties the whole colour scheme together, but you also get a whole bunch of eyeliner "colours" for the price of just one!💕 [edit: let me know if you've tried it!]
I would like problem solving tips like covering redness, scars, textured skin and eye bags. I have so many problems 😆
This is so relaxing to watch after the long day of driving that I had.
What foundation did you use? It looks amazing on your skin!!! You're glowing!!!🥰
Hello lliana
@@thomassmith6344 why are you greeting everyone on this channel?
I wonder what's the real. philosophy behind it lol
I love this Tina!! I hate when RUclipsrs make the what not to dos look absolutely ridiculous on purpose but you did it in a realistic way and taught how to fix that. Thank youuuu!!!
This video was SO helpful!! I would love a back-to-basics series because as an asian woman, I never felt like the tutorials I watch are made for me and therefore I end up making a lot of makeup mistakes because my face shape is different! I would especially love a tutorial on eyeliner and lip basics!
Yey i am so happyyy.... Missed your makeup videos so much! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for this video! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy
wow this was SO informative. as someone who learned to do makeup from early RUclips days (2010ish) it's so helpful to learn some modern techniques! i like how these new trends emphasize facial harmony!! thank you Tina, hope you make more makeup vids like this
Also the blush positioning higher is better to avoid making the face chubbier than it already is especially if you already have chubby face lol. Best hack. I’m feeling proud of myself that I also actually been doing most of theses and improved.
The blush and eyeliner have shook up my world 😂🙏❤ thank youuuuu
I still can't believe Tina is gonna have a baby like you still look like the same girl you were when you started!!! Your growth makes me teary eyed and so emotional!!! I hope you and your baby are always happy and healthy!!!
These are so helpful!!!! I'm new to makeup so was wondering if you have any tips for protecting makeup for smudging, esp eye makeup and blush, in humid conditions when you've sweat and wiped off some of it. Might be common knowledge but I'm quite new so don't know any tips on it! 🙈
Such a useful video 🥰🤎 still watching. Thank you for sharing with us.
It's so refreshing to see a simple makeup tutorial 🥺🥺
Could you do videos for Asian hooded eyes? I have double eyelids that are hidden (if that makes sense) and my crease goes beyond the outer corner of my eye lol so eye liner is difficult unless I follow the crease
Lol not me still doing makeup the first way around. Too bad the first tip doesn't work for me as my skin is bad all over
This is perfect as I want to learn how to apply my make up 🙏🏻
I remember when you were 'Tina Tries It' I am at work at the hospital. I needed this video to refresh my mind! Thank you.
After I had my baby, I do tip #1 just because I had less time and was lazy. Good to know it’s actually doing something 😂
This was great! More please!
The higher placement of blush helps a lot for mature women. :) I discovered that for myself a few months ago.
These were really helpful :)
Definitely trying this look on Saturday 😍✨
Hello from New York City and I just subscribed to your channel after seeing this video! I loved all your tips and it’s great seeing new ideas for make up, this coming from someone who’s been doing make up since the 80’s! Thanks for your video and I hope to find that eye palette of yours!
Tina you look gorgeous 😍 and yes I would love to see more makeup videos but I do love your other video too and thanks for the great tips ❤ 😌
her face is so symmetrical and beautiful
Tina, with you there aren’t any “imperfections” you are perfect. 🙃
Love you Tina💗 so happy to see your makeup video after a long time🥺💜
This video was really instructive! Thank you a lot! 😊
Love your make up videos Tina. Bless you 🥰
i wanna know tips on lipstick!
Thank you so much for this video Tina! I’ve learned so much, especially with the eyeshadow and eyeliner technique!!! Love it and you are glowing! 💗
yesss to basic to basic makeup!🥰😍
I have the VERY SAME side-eye darkness - it's not under the eye like any other person but to the sides of my eyes just like yours and when not concealed they make my eyes look droopier. Any tip on managing our funky side-eye darness would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for the good content!
The thick and thin i already do i just didn't have a name for it 🤣
Omg hi Tina 🙋🏻♀️💖!!
Hi Tina! I miss your make up tutorial videos. Thank you for this, very helpful techniques. 💖
Love seeing your make up tutorial tried this and I look a lot different and very natural x
OMG Tina! Now I know why my cheeks look so droopy! You’re a lifesaver! I love these techniques you showed us today! Thank you!!! 😍
Wow these tips are amazing!!!
I was just looking at my photos of me and friend with makeup and this popped up
It's the way you dont even realize how much you're trying to appear more European for me.
Make your eyes rounder? Your nose bridge smaller? Sis. It's 2022, it's time for us to stop trying to appear more European. Especially when you kept saying it looked "more professional". Yikes. You're literally repeating these subtly racist things we've all been oppressed by our whole lives. I followed you because as a mixed Native, there are features you and I share, higher cheekbones, eye shape, etc. But if you're going to be spouting off the microaggressions that made us all hate our ethnic features in the first place, then BYE.
Your soooo preety 😭✨
There were so many great tips!! Thank you Tina
I would recommend colour correcting before trying to conceal those areas that way you need to overload it with thick foundation/ concealer
@@tina_yong Omg that makes sense! Thank you so much for the reply Tina ❤️
This was so helpful! I never wore makeup my entire 27years of living except a winged eyeliner and.. and I say and, for those special occasions lipstick. This would be like 3 times a year lol. And since working at a new job they expect me to wear makeup even if it's minimal and all I knew were the before techniques from watching videos in the past but they always made me feel so wierd. Like I'd rather have a bare face then feel like I'm being stared at lol. I'm going to practice with the after techniques, although I'm still too scared to wear blush and eyeshadow. I don't even apply foundation because I think it'll look cakey too 😅 sorry thanks for reading.
If you don't mind, what is your job ??
@@carmagurl317 just retail but they expect me to try now to attract customers and look professional 😒 😅
@@shawtazz ahh got it. I worked retail once too and struggled with that! If you're interested, I really like rubbing a dot of tinted lip balm on my lips, cheeks and above my eyelids. It's really subtle, quick and natural and doesn't feel heavy. And hard to go wrong bc there's only a little pigment and if it matches your lips then it will go with your whole face!
@@carmagurl317 oh thank you! I'll give that a try!
Yass !! Ms Tina is here !! 💛💛
I looooove that you embrace what you have and just build on it, in stead of just covering everything up.
Amazing techniques thank u so much for sharing with us 😍😍 love from india
I would love to categorized videos😄.
Thank you for that genius blush technique. I just started wearing blush again at 46 and I just couldn't get it to look right. 🙃
Very interesting but like with every make up hack it is not for everybody. For example my face is widest at my cheekbones that's why I dont like to put my blush there. I found out that if I put my blush further in the middle of my face it suits me better and gives me a smaller not so wide face.
But I wish I could do that blush tip it looks so pretty on you! :)
LOVE THIS VIDEO !! It's so informative, especially eyeshadow one . It's gonna change my lifee
I always use the eyeshadow technique and I couldn’t find it in any Korean makeup tutorial which I used to follow as a beginner
I am still not that good but defin
Always enjoy watching your videos 🥰
I love this foundation technique not gonna lie however this will only works on people who have a great skin with no texture and doesn't need a lot of makeup but this techniques on people who has a lot of Acnes this will not gonna work in my opinion as a makeup artist depends on your skin and how you do your makeup.
Can you show me how to make fake eyelashes looks less fake when I wear them. When I applied fake lashes it tend to look super fake, like I know it is fake but it just look really artificial than others wearing fake lashes!
Really like you simple make up tutorials. Looking for how to contour with various colors with one pallet
I have like a low coverage foundation cause I am a student so I just put it under my eyes on my cheek bone and above and below the lips and my forehead
I usually put on foundation to cover acne
I usually don’t even put on makeup but when I do I do this
thanks for all the great tips ! please share your techniques on contours too !!
lots of love from Malaysia
Damn i always make mistakes with my makeup. Such a good tips for asian face.
This is the earliest I've ever been to a video ever ! lol thank you for the tips, hoping you, alfred, baby and zen are doing well
Can you do tiktok part 4 please 🥺
Gosh what a helpful update, especially using dark eyeshadow to blend out eyeliner. I love it! So soft and pretty 🤩
I’m so happy you’re doing more makeup videos! This video was so helpful especially the eyeshadow one! I have a very similar eye shape to yours and i could never get eyeshadow to look as good doing the old method. I’ve struggled to find makeup artist with the same eye shape as me. I would love to see more of your makeup tips in the future! 💕
Sooo helpful!!!! I enjoyed all you precise tips.. just like you suggested please do more tips for different age group. For example; someone over 40+ doesn’t always apply false lashes to their makeup routine so give a tip on an alternative.
Love this Tina! More videos like this 😊
I'm trying the eyeshadow tip as I'm watching this video and wow it works so well!
I have almond shaped slightly hooded double eyelids with an epicanthic fold. The majority of eye tutorials are for non hooded, round eyes. I've had to mix multiple techniques to get a good look for my unique shape.
oh man, the hello kitty blush isn't available on Sephora =(
Loved the blush technique. Please make more makeup tips!
Hi Tina, I love ❤️ these new techniques! I’m going to be trying them now. I would love to see more. Also, I would love to see techniques for eye lashes too!
Gorgeous✨❤
Yay!! Thank you!! I looooove these techniques!! 💜

Hello Melanie
The eyeliner on your lid does not work for me it will take up my entire eyelid
Hi Tina when will u come to India 🇮🇳 😔 🙂 we are waiting for you
Me too
I followed your tips from this video while getting ready this AM, and 😮 what a transformation it made to my look. I am terrible with shaping/filling my eyebrows, so I need to keep working on that. Regardless, I love your advice and especially your channel content. Thank you! 💜🥰
More tips! More tips! 😊❤️
Please, I want more. Thank you, Tina.
Loved these tips !! So helpful. Can't wait to incorporate the eye shadow technique :)
I would definitely love more tips like this 😍
Does anyone have any advice on my dilemma? I have a smaller cheek and every time I apply my blush higher to have that “snatched” look I don’t know where to place my highlighter. They always say go above your blush but right above my blush is the spot between my eyes & my cheeks. I end up just going over my blush with highlighter and sometimes I hate it.
