I suspect he might do it in a live stream. He said in the video we'll see him do it and in the final sticker star stream with Jon he said he wanted to stream getting the final medals that he wouldn't get naturally in the LP. I still do not think Hilda/Hilbert are *_gone,_* because if Ghetsis had killed them he'd already have their legendary dragon, but he had to lure out N to take the dragon he had. I personally think they left Unova and are searching for N in the other regions.
It's pretty much outright stated by their mom too when you visit her and Pokemon Masters, while not necessarily canon, still draws from that plot point by having Hilbert say he was searching for him (along with Ghetsis never making an allusion to any deadly interactions with him). Between that and the dragon, the theory makes little sense since you have to ignore too many things for it to work.
I think there's an Episode of the Pokémon Generations (or Evolutions) shorts that show Hilbert and Zekrom coming to N's aid against White Kyurem instead of the Protagonist from Black 2 and White 2.
You're not too far off! This is the angle many offshoots and spin-off series have taken! They reveal that more often than not Hilbert/Hilda were simply off looking for N and advancing their dream and were never Missing In Action or harmed in any way. The Anime Mini-Series "Pokemon Generations" shows us that in a world without Rosa/Nate that both N and Hilbert/Hilda would once again meet to stand against Ghetsis. In mobile Spin-off "Pokemon Masters" Hilda and Hilbert both have a surprise meeting with N on the island resort after recieving seperate invitations to the island.
Regarding Drayden's Haxorus, Mold Breaker announces itself when a Pokemon with it is sent out, so it was 100% guaranteed that the Haxorus had Rivalry. It didn't matter in the end but thought it was worth mentioning.
I have a feeling Giovanni's Rhyperior is another nod to the Adventures manga, where in the FRLG arc, it was revealed that he had written a book titled "Secrets of the Earth" which hinted that Rhydon could evolve further.
A little correction about Tate and Liza. In addition to sharing a lot of the same team they each have a Ralts evolution. Tate can use Gallade while Liza uses Gardevoir.
The world tournament is one of the best things in any Pokemon game. Being able to fight all of these iconic trainers in one game made kid me so happy that there was a time where all I did was play the world tournament just so I could hear the remixes of their themes and fight against them like I did in past games
It's honestly my favorite feature in any Pokémon. It's so cool to be able to battle every single old gym leader, e4, and champion in a World Tournament setting. Another reason why B2/W2 are probably the best games in terms of content
The only thing missing from the PWT to make it truly perfect is the Elite 4 of all regions up to that point. The E4s often have some very interesting characters that we almost never get to see again because they oddly have less impact than gym leaders. Lorelei, Karen, Drake, Lucian, Shauntal and more all getting left by the wayside for no reason. And c'mon, you're telling me that these trainers who are supposedly stronger than the gym leaders wouldn't take part in such a massive event like this? If anything I'd imagine they'd want to join in as well.
It feels very fitting that this video was uploaded today. On this day of the future let's celebrate by giving the battles of the past one last chance to shine. Happy New Year everyone! Also, here's a tip for going through the PWT: rotation battles can make winning a lot easier. They allow you to get a faster understanding of your opponent's team and gives you more chances to surprise the AI
As someone with 5 siblings, it really depends on how your parents raised you. I was raised in a way that made me a lot closer to my siblings than most people, so it differs for everyone.
also sometimes you really just dont like your siblings until you're all adults and you've mostly grown out of annoying each other for entertainment. i would know, this is just me describing my relationship with my sister
I grew up with 6 siblings, and I get along pretty well with all of them. Some better than others, but the narrative of "I hate my sibling and want them to leave me alone, but no one else is allowed to hurt them or there will be hell to pay" is very real
44:30 Another cool part with PWT's VGC-based tournaments is the music that plays during those battles, "Pokémon World Championships Final". This is a remix of Blue's battle theme (separate from the regular PWT remix) that played during the finals matches in the real-life Gen 5 VGC world championships, as can be seen in the VODs for those matches. This track was remixed again for Gen 6 and 7 VGC finals matches, before being dropped in Gen 8.
If they do that it would have been incredible, Imagine the World Champions. It would be nice if the less than impressive Champions are much stronger and pose a much better challenge than they did in the main story. [cough] Geeta and Diantha.
@@lusaminehq Imagine a new PWT where Hoenn and Kalos trainers Mega Evolve their Pokemon, Alolans use Z-Moves, Paldeans Terastalize their last Pokemon standing, and Toby Fox remixed all of the songs.
I really wish Hilbert/Hilda showed up in the PWT so you could battle them just like Red in the Johto games. Hell, it’d be awesome if you could battle them at all, because with Memory Link, Game Freak could’ve had it so that this game copied your team from Black & White 1 so that you could genuinely surpass yourself!
I played Heartgold with an emulator right after playing Leafgreen. Ended up using a team editor to change Red’s team to my LG team. Fighting my old team on Mt. Moon was magical, ended up beating a team of lvl 80’s with lvl 60’s!
I made the version of myself from when I was 11 but pretending to be 13 the champion in my fangame. When I playtest the fangame I will be truly trying to surpass myself.
I always knew about the scrapped Hilbert/Hilda fight, but I always thought it was going to be through Memory Link at the Nature Preserve. It amazes me that after 11 years, I’ve finally learned something about my favorite video games of all time.
PWT alone makes this the best Pokemon game. Getting to fight every gym leader and then the champions in a tournament with full 6 on 6 triple battles is just unmatched. My strategy was metagross, garchomp and Tyranitar dropping rock slides and earthquakes with Salamance (also doing intimidate), Hydreigon and Cresselia levitating with a bunch of coverage. It’s so difficult to win in with just how competitive all their pokemon are
Over 100 episodes, absolute insanity. The PWT was a massive part of my Summer last year (as in, 2023), and my clutch victory against Clair is one of the most satisfying things I've ever experienced on a sunbaked beachside. Jellicent rocks :) Well, that and getting to make a crab chimera out of discarded exoskeletons.
One random quirk that I love about the PWT is that for some reason, if Cress or Bugsy are on the opposite side of the bracket as you, 99% of the time they make it to the final round
"And you'll see it when it happens" Oh boy it's been a while since we've gotten a promised bonus video to come out long after the series ends, bringing back a classic
Man, this mode is so awesome! I love it when games reference other games in the series and songs being all remastered or motifs is a wonderful icing on the cake. Lots of love was put into this!
I just had an interesting idea. What if the World Tournament and Blueberry Academy invitations were fused together? We still have epic battles with past-gen characters but after the matches, we could invite them for conversations, trade Pokemon with them or let them give us customization options or items. That would honestly become the ultimate fanservice in a Pokemon game.
You know whenever Byron's involved, Emile's gonna go all ham with the anime portrayal. Fun fact: Byron's VA is Dan Green. So in a sense, YUGI LOVES BASTIODON!
Wouldn't be the first time we had an Yu-Gi-Oh reference in Pokemon and it probably won't be the last. Considering we had the Legendary Dragon in this gen that is completely almost identical to Blue Eyes White Dragon and Red Eyes Black Dragon. But swapped there elemental types.
As someone who started from Emerald, this was unquestionably my favorite part of BW2 as a kid. I put together my favorite team members from my playthrough, and somehow, was able to win all the way through the Champion's Tournament. I loved the Battle Frontier, but this easily made up for that. I can only imagine what it'd be like for people who never found out about the other tournaments to experience this now. We're at a point where this Gen 5 itself can be considered "retro," and I think Game Freak kinda knows that too.
Just a thing I noticed about Giovanni, one, he's based off Michael Corleon from The Godfather and two his design is actually IN HGSS, there's a hidden scene you can view with Giovanni taking a leave of absence and a gunshot is heard in the background when he's revealed to be Silver's father. While it's clear by this he didn't ACTUALLY hurt himself, the implication is scary. Go watch that scene if you can, translated it sounds really emotional.
Fun fact: Erika is voiced by Leah Applebaum in the anime and she's voiced by Xanthe Huynh in Pokemon masters EX, who also did Haru Okumura in persona 5, Marianne in fire emblem three houses and a voice option for the avatar in street fighter 6.
To be fair on the sibling thing I've noticed that when you become an adult and aren't around your siblings 24/7, it does make the relationships better. Being the youngest myself I got picked on a lot when we were kids and thus argued nonstop but now that we are all adults I honestly can't remember the last time I had an actual fight with my siblings and I enjoy spending time with them.
21:50 if you played Pokemon Masters, you know how helpful Roxanne and Probopass are for early players. She and the pokemon grew up on me because of that, and thanks to that popularity in the game, DeNA gave her a cute witch outfit for last years Halloween event
17:44 And some people ask me why this game in particular made me fall in love in the series again. So much love and effort put into this game. Also happy new year! Very thankful to have another year of content from Chugga!
There's something really reassuring about one of the Striaton City Gym Leaders getting to the semifinals, especially in a Water Vs. Water match. After seeing their morale falter, being able to prove they could get that far, and that Cress, at least, could hold his own... I know it's not intentional, but it feels like a good bit of closure to their story.
Technically most gym leaders have had a "powered up" team even before B2W2, HGSS had the Fighting Dojo for rematches with the Kanto and Johto gym leaders, Platinum let you rematch Sinnoh gym leaders, but Emerald also let you rematch the Hoenn gym leaders with the PokeNav's Match Call, granted getting them to want a rematch is kinda hard with how random it feels and you need to rematch them around four times to get them to have their full team, but it's really cool seeing ones like Winona get Dragonite and Roxanne getting the Kanto fossil Pokemon. I think the one exception might be Giovanni actually since Blue replaces him in HGSS
Damn that story about siblings is so relatable to me as an only child. I had the same exprience where I thought that all siblings hated each other cause they were always fighting when I came over. Glad to know I wasn't the only person who thought this at some point
29:04 That was due to the voice switch - long story short, Giovanni only had two speaking roles before his replacement left and his original actor Ted Lewis came back to the series, and the role.
In this episode, Chugga misses at 12:35 that Drayden fielded a Haxorus with *Rivalry* and not *Mold Breaker* due to the fact Mold Breaker's "[x] breaks the mold!" did not appear at the start of the battle
We may not have gotten a Battle Frontier in BW2 but the PWT is an amazing addition and as far as Battle Facilities go it's easily one of the best we've ever gotten with how it takes the tournament format from the Battle Dome in Emerald and throws in some incredible fanservice with every single gym leader and champion up to this point, with Literally the only exclusion being Koga and Iris weirdly enough. Hell they basically went and combined this fanservice aspect with the traditional Battle Tower style facility when we eventually get to Gen 7 which is also amazing. That bit about the unused fight with Hilbert/Hilda is super interesting, and something I've genuinely never heard about before. I really have to wonder just what kind of a team they would have had in a tournament battle and how that would have interacted with Memory Link. I could imagine them having the starter you chose and potentially the corresponding monkey to parallel Cheren and Bianca but beyond that it's hard to say especially since Reshiram/Zekrom and would be banned. Maybe Tornadus/Thunderus and Zoroark since the one from BWin Lostlorn Forest is no longer there and it would kinda follow a similar philosophy to how Red's team corresponds to encounters from Pokemon Yellow.
Unfortunately the fanservice in the Battle Tower in gen 7 is very limited compared to this. It only gets any past characters that are already in the game plus Red and Blue, the latter of which being the only ones to get A remix (and I do say "A" remix, because they mixed both themes together). So basically, Cynthia, Grimsley, and Colress basically get to have crusty DS music on the 3DS, and Wally (who was already a blatant asset reuse himself) basically has his theme ported over from ORAS. I don't even know if Sycamore's forgettable assistants even brought over any music from XY, which says a lot. Meanwhile the PWT here does that for literally every past Gym Leader and Champion, falling short only of Elite Fours and past notable characters (such as protags and rivals aside from Red and Blue).
@@extremmefan7305 I mean yeah but it's still cool, also Cynthia is only in the Battle Tree so she's in the same boat as Red and Blue, and I don't see an issue with them reusing assets for Wally since they work fine for what they're used for.
I first found out about the PWT through SomeCallMeJohnnys review of B2W2. I never owned a DS and I was very close to getting a DS just for this game mode because I thought (and still think) it's that cool. I wish a future pokemon game revives this because I know I would be addicted to it
I’ve been watching since Pokémon Crystal, and this is one of my favorite videos you’ve ever made! The joy you’re experiencing from the memories associated with the characters and music of the Pokémon World Tournament brought me lots of joy as well, and I appreciate how much care you put into these. It inspires me to seek what I love, and enjoy doing it!
To that little tangent on how you thought that we might have hated our siblings. As a twin (Though not an identical one, so my experience applies a bit less), it really depends. I love my twin, and there's hardly been more than a couple of fights throughout our lives. But my other two sisters along with my twin? Definitely a much more love-hate relationship between them tbh. I've never really minded about sharing my stuff, although perhaps that's due to me not having a brother, but my sisters hate giving each other their things, even if they have multiple of them, like a certain shoe for instance. Just thought that it was interesting to note.
So glad you covered the VGC 2012 DLC. The concept was so cool! These days, it's not the Trainer that get to be canon- Game Freak just distributes a Pokemon from a big tournament winner's team (often the easiest ones to actually obtain) in a Cherish Ball.
@@smashmaster521 Nope. It wouldn't be your OT otherwise. I'm talking about how big VGC events usually give out a password-based Mystery Gift of a Pokemon from a team that won a previous event.
Never seen this part before - your telling me they gave every gym leader ever new sprites, music, etc for the tournament and you can battle them all? That’s insane!! Imagine if someone back ported the newer gym leaders to this, that would be awesome, cause this gen’s sprites are awesome. Would love if they did this in gen 10 as well, would be a fun celebration of everything that came before.
No, I get it, Chuggaa. When my sister and I were hanging out at the place where her renter lived, she (the renter) said that me and my sis were kinda unique that we actually *liked* each other. That her siblings were terrible. And she's not the only one I've heard discuss how terrible their siblings are to each other. It's wild how many people there are like that.
This content is where I grind so hard. I build competitive Pokemon, EV train etc., just for this thing. I used Snorlax, Arcanine, Starmie team for PWT up to the champion part
What I'd have done for the PWT Hilbert/Hilda fight is use the Memory Link to give you to opposite trainer to your BW1 game, with a set team. So if you play as Hibert, you get to fight Hilda in BW2 and the reverse. This way, it follows canon, since the opposite trainer does canonically exist in BW1, its just while you are capturing legendary Pokemon and beating up a terrorist organisation, your opposite was riding the subway. That trainer who rode the subway is the one you can fight in the PWT.
Emile, as for your rant about siblings: There's age ranges. When siblings are very little, they get along great. Then they dramatically don't, and then sometime when the younger sibling in a teenager, they start getting along again, and ideally recognize that they're actually among eachothers' best friends in the world. There is nobody on earth I'm closer to than my older brother. We are eachothers' best friends, and that relationship means the world to me. That is not to say we don't get on eachothers' nerves, or that we haven't spent a few years habitually at eachothers' throats. These things are normal, and honestly exaugurated by the people telling the story most of the time.
Emile: “And now it’s going to be a steel-cage chutes and ladders match!” Me: “AT WWE SUPER SLAAAAAAM!!” …Sorry, I know it’s an old meme, but it’s just so much fun to do that voice!
The PWT was such an amazing addition! All the remixes of previous Gym Leader themes being bangers, being able to talk to returning characters, new designs & animations on older characters, references to older generations and last but not least: the soundtrack. The track that plays for the final battle of the PWT is pure ear candy and one I find myself listening to often. Especially at 13:06 & 23:13. It's nostalgia & fanservice done right. I can't help but feel as though if Pokémon Z happened, they would've brought back PWT with each returning trainer having one Mega-Evolved Pokémon. That's only seen in the final battle of course, gotta nerf at some points.
I love the gym leader remixes in the PWT! This probably also has the best Cynthia theme remix in the series. It’s near criminal her remix here is better than the battle in Undella Town. Her PWT version and her remix in BDSP are probably my favorite versions of it. Speaking of which, a big rematch next time, you say?
I remember getting probably more hours in this game just from those World Championship DLC matches than what I spent playing through the games story. I absolutely adored the addition, building teams to beat those fights and learning way more about how to build competitive teams even though I had been dabbling into it since early DPPl. PWT truly holds a special place in my heart and I *wish* it would come back one day.
I scrambled to get a team together just in time for you posting the PWT video. I settled on Hydreigon, Rotom-Wash and Scizor. I actually tried Latios for a bit but I found Hydreigon's access to dark, fire and ground attacks to be superior in the PWT. It just covers so, so many leaders.
The World Leaders tournament was the coolest thing ever, just imagining the matchups you saw on the screen play out like Clair vs Drayden or something hype like that... And then if you put the time in this beefy mode you get THE CHAMPIONS TOURNAMENT WHERE YOU CAN FIGHT STEVEN STONE, BLUE, CYNTHIA, WALLACE, ALDER, LANCE AND EVEN RED. This game has not been topped. The Tree thingy from Alola was cool, especially seeing adult Red and adult Blue, but it just isn't the same as this.
Bizarrely, I'm glad you took note of the music, because for a moment I thought "Awesome, they remixed the Hoenn Gym Leader theme!" But then you didn't acknowledge it, so I thought "Wait, is this just some music Chuggaa is playing to make it sound more epic?" I'm not sure why my logic led me there. Maybe It's just too early in the morning to think straight.
I believe the reason behind why Koga isn't in the Kanto Leaders tournament is because canonically, he remained an E4 member and never went back to being a Gym Leader. Canonically, gen 5 takes place after gen 2, according to the "bye-bye-a-go-go" grunt that lives in Icirrus City. Koga became an Elite Four member sometime between gens 1 and 2, and I don't see why he would go back to being a Gym Leader, especially when Janine is running his gym now. That doesn't explain a thing about why Giovanni's here in that case, I'm just saying my piece on Koga specifically.
As someone who did sprite editing and custom trainer sprites during gen five, having updated sprites for all the gym leaders and champions was awesome!
I think the Tate & Liza thing is interesting- the discussion about attitudes toward siblings, that is. I've known a few pairs of twins growing up with varying levels of closeness. One of my best friends through middle and high school had a twin brother, and the two of them got along pretty well if I remember correctly. I don't know if them being opposite genders made a big difference, but they tended to have all separate things despite being twins. On the other hand, I knew a pair of same-gender twins online for a few years and they were inseparable. I believe they share a tumblr and Facebook account to this day, not having separate ones for each of them. They did have separate Snapchat accounts simply because they had different phones, but if they could possibly share an account on something they would prefer to! I would have thought they were the same person pretending to be two people if I hadn't had phone calls with both of them and seen pictures of them together, lol. I'm sure a lot of factors go into how siblings feel about each other. For me, I have a brother who's about four years older than me. We were never particularly close due to the age gap and us having other stuff going on in our lives (mostly mental health problems), and after he went to college I more or less felt like an only child because I scarcely ever talked to him or saw him. When I told this to the inseparable twins I mentioned in the first paragraph, they actually cried because they couldn't imagine not being close to their sibling and thought it was so sad! Meanwhile, I wasn't really bothered about it. It was just kind of the way it was and I wasn't losing sleep over a lost relationship with my brother or anything like that. So I guess it really can depend on a lot of things.
The thing with siblings is that we would throw each other in-front of a bus but at the end of the day, we still love each other (most of the time) and would defend each other. (this is coming from a middle child)
I cannot stress enough how much I want PWT to return in the Unova remakes. This is their chance to bring in trainers from gens 6-9. This is the chance to give Kalos trainers actual teams. Honestly, you don’t even need to do that part, just bring it back in some capacity. But honestly, after BDSP happened, I’m totally expecting it to be cut.
Would that not have to be in a BW2 remake then? We have to go to the Cold Storage for part of the story, so I feel like they would have to keep that in.
Emile: *Laughs at Watchog.* Also Emile: *Eats his own words as said Watchog hits Hypnosis on the first turn.* I should also mention that if that Haxorus had Mold Breaker, you'd know, since it would have said right at the start ' broke the mold!'.
ohh, that was a delight to see, especially after I watched the Platinum Let's Play of you during the last days. Sooo... I was really happy to hear you make the Byron voice again :D
I won't lie, I was rooting for Sandslash, one of my all time favourites. I believe his intention was to use Sandslash's sand veil to make itself harder to hit
Updated Win-Loss Ratios: I've always thought that this one mode was better than any Battle Frontier, and I'm really glad to hear that Chugga feels the same! (I can't believe that I've made 100 of these updates now!) Pignati: Wins - 221 Loss - 20 Ties - 5 Teammates KO'd - 0 91% McFly: Wins - 195 Loss - 38 Ties - 0 Teammates KO'd - 2 84% Aidan: Wins - 182 Loss - 27 Ties - 1 Teammates KO'd - 3 87% Jade: Wins - 132 Loss - 24 Ties - 0 Teammates KO'd - 0 85% Harmony: Wins - 146 Loss - 28 Ties - 0 Teammates KO'd - 0 84% Lasagna: Wins - 78 Loss - 24 Ties - 0 Teammates KO'd - 0 76% 36:31 To be fair, Misty never really did much until the last third of Johto anyway.
I can’t blame you about the siblings thing, my brother and I were always at each others’ throats growing up. Even now as adults we aren’t particularly close which is sad. I wish we had the thick as thieves kind of sibling relationship you see in TV and movies
For those who want to know what everyone in the PWT has, and who all is available, there's a RUclipsr called Silph Specter that dissects the teams of any given gym leader/E-4 member. He regularly mentions this feature for those videos.

He came a long way since then!

Imagine a new version of the PWT with representatives up to Paldea. That'd be sick.
dont do that.. dont give me hope
Hope that maybe we’ll get that eventually
If they do that it would have been incredible, Imagine the World Champions. It would be nice if the less than impressive Champions are much stronger and pose a much better challenge than they did in the main story. [cough] Geeta and Diantha.
@@lusaminehq Imagine a new PWT where Hoenn and Kalos trainers Mega Evolve their Pokemon, Alolans use Z-Moves, Paldeans Terastalize their last Pokemon standing, and Toby Fox remixed all of the songs.
@@Arcticgod3535geeta did get a far better team in the dlc at least
I really wish Hilbert/Hilda showed up in the PWT so you could battle them just like Red in the Johto games.
Hell, it’d be awesome if you could battle them at all, because with Memory Link, Game Freak could’ve had it so that this game copied your team from Black & White 1 so that you could genuinely surpass yourself!
Given how the Bianca and Cheren fights work, that was probably planned, but never implemented.
I think they were planned to since there are unused sprites of them.
@@Senaru Unused text too.
Maybe if we get a remake, we could fight them there.
Dragon-types: Best way to deal with them is to use Ice-type attacks on them or raise a Dragon of your own.
Chuggaa's answer: Lasagna
PWT alone makes this the best Pokemon game. Getting to fight every gym leader and then the champions in a tournament with full 6 on 6 triple battles is just unmatched.
My strategy was metagross, garchomp and Tyranitar dropping rock slides and earthquakes with Salamance (also doing intimidate), Hydreigon and Cresselia levitating with a bunch of coverage. It’s so difficult to win in with just how competitive all their pokemon are
The VGC DLC also uses the VGC battle background. VGC having special battle stuff was introduced in this game and kept being a tradition.
The PWT is such an amazing addition. They really went above and beyond for a side mode.
Over 100 episodes, absolute insanity. The PWT was a massive part of my Summer last year (as in, 2023), and my clutch victory against Clair is one of the most satisfying things I've ever experienced on a sunbaked beachside. Jellicent rocks :)
Well, that and getting to make a crab chimera out of discarded exoskeletons.
One random quirk that I love about the PWT is that for some reason, if Cress or Bugsy are on the opposite side of the bracket as you, 99% of the time they make it to the final round
Wait, really?
"And you'll see it when it happens" Oh boy it's been a while since we've gotten a promised bonus video to come out long after the series ends, bringing back a classic
Man, this mode is so awesome! I love it when games reference other games in the series and songs being all remastered or motifs is a wonderful icing on the cake. Lots of love was put into this!
I wish the PWT came back in a future game. Honestly that was the most fun I had doing single player competitive. Also happy new years chuggaaconroy.
Think it can overshadow the BF as a whole?
@leonardofarias8843 It's better than the Battle Frontiers IMO. Call it an hot take. But I found the Battle Frontier kinda boring.
With his coverage the expert belt might be good for McFly, although nothing can save him from the curse of being a physical electric type
Shame we only now got an alternative for Wild Charge and it's just an Electric Hi Jump Kick.
@@lucklusternot even High Jump Kick, Supercell Slam just a clone of regular Jump Kick, despite it not even being in SV at all lol
13:15 Emile forgot that mold breaker announces itself whenever a pokemon with enters the field.
I did this too, I was 12 at the time. Trying to recreate my success on camera for my channel.
Yeah, unfortunately you can only see that scene if you have an event Celebi
Chuggaa: "I think Lunatone has Rock Head"
Lunatone and Solrock only have Levitate
I’m so not ready for this series to end!
Xanthe is perfect for Erika.
Chugga: “Imagine being a real human who was cut from a game, Ouch.”

I remember doing the champions tournament when I unlocked and my very first battle was against Red. Safe to say he annihilated me 😅
*O O F .*
Still the best postgame addition there is in the entire series.
Fun fact, not every gym leader got new sprites. The Kanto, Johto and Sinnoh leaders all used old sprites from gen 4!
Yeah. Only the Hoenn Leaders got an new sprite because they weren't in Gen. 4 and they don't have there sprites there.
I never knew all that about the PWT. The Hilbert and Hilda fact and the Nuvema Town music made me start to tear up. Long live Unova man
29:04 That was due to the voice switch - long story short, Giovanni only had two speaking roles before his replacement left and his original actor Ted Lewis came back to the series, and the role.
20:38 That's just sibling banter Chuggaa. People with siblings know that feeling. We still love each other regardless
12:33 Chugga forgot Mold Breaker has a pop-up there if it's present
Wolfey is a canonical pokemon trainer
Are you saying my Shiny Lucario belonged to someone?
@@smashmaster521 Nope. It wouldn't be your OT otherwise. I'm talking about how big VGC events usually give out a password-based Mystery Gift of a Pokemon from a team that won a previous event.
I dont know why but watching the streamers bounce against the stage was really impressive to me
I started watching you when you were LPing Emerald, very surreal to see you fighting and talking about the Hoenn gym leaders again
Seeing a Starmie/ Lapras combo win a tournament puts a smile on my face!
Happy 2024, Emile! I didn't expect to see Ash in the thumbnail. 😂

It’s amazing that they brought back all these gym leaders and champions… Happy new year to you all. ❤
Emile, as for your rant about siblings:
There's age ranges.
Let us all roar like Dragon Pokémon for this year is the Year of the Dragon! Specifically, Year of the Wood Dragon!
Liza had a surprisingly adorable event with Guzma in Pokemon Masters where he acted like a big brother for her and taught her how to wreck things.
Emile: “And now it’s going to be a steel-cage chutes and ladders match!”
Me: “AT WWE SUPER SLAAAAAAM!!”
…Sorry, I know it’s an old meme, but it’s just so much fun to do that voice!
Love that every gen gym leader you fight. Received a updated theme song. God B2W2 got so much love. A proper send off for the 2d version.

“I L O V E B A S T I O D O N ! ! !”

New Year and new challenges with the PWT! Hope you all had a great New Years Eve!
I love that they actually remixed all the other gym leader themes, and we get to see the personalities of many of the gym leaders.
Bizarrely, I'm glad you took note of the music, because for a moment I thought "Awesome, they remixed the Hoenn Gym Leader theme!"
But then you didn't acknowledge it, so I thought "Wait, is this just some music Chuggaa is playing to make it sound more epic?"
I'm not sure why my logic led me there. Maybe It's just too early in the morning to think straight.
I never thought I'd see Ash on a chuggaaconroy thumbnail!
Happy New Years Emile! Looking forward to what 2024 has in store for the channel, as well as how this wonderful series wraps up!
44:41 is one of the few things I knew about this, and it’s sooo cool
HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE! It was a horrible 2023 for me, maybe others had it worse. Let's hope next year would be better
They'd need to bring back so many Pokemon, they'd never do that
Would that not have to be in a BW2 remake then? We have to go to the Cold Storage for part of the story, so I feel like they would have to keep that in.
You know damn well that they can’t even bother putting in a proper Battle Frontier anymore. Let alone something of this caliber again.
@@infinityheart_tm9270 Also, the remake for BW2 should bring back the PWT
Can we not think about an BW or B2W2 remake? I don't want them to screw it up like they did with Gen. 4.
This is where Jades brave nature is starting to bite her
I think you mean Crunch her.
One of my greatest gaming accomplishments is playing the World Championship tournament, making it to Ray Rizzo and managing to beat 2 of his Pokemon.
