Extremely helpful video. Most Indians think they have NC 40 or 42 skin colour because the sales people they ask themselves don’t know and these two are the most popular shades. I too have made the same mistakes and spent money on such an expensive product and to sadly find that it does not suit me. You are helping a lot by these swatches as it helps people like me to buy the correct shade without wasting time and money. Thank you so much your efforts are much appreciated. Keep up the good work. NC35 looks closer to your bare skin. NC 37 looks slightly lighter though in natural lighting it looks good too.

Seeing your mac swatches videos it was really easy for me to choose my shade... i recently bought nc35 as previously i had nc42 the lady sold this shade to me it was a orange mask on my face totally a disaster shade

Thank you so much 🙏🏻 and yes NC42 was my first shade from this foundation too, sold to me by an expert makeup sales person at MAC 😂 It looked too orange all the time….

NC37 is a little lighter for my skin, NC35 is slightly yellow for my skin….I have a neutral undertone….

@@WaySheBlushes yup, same here! But NC37 dries down beautifully so I wanted a same level but a little on the warmer side. I also think NC35 would be a bit yellow but that is fine, as long as it is not too deep or too light. I wasn't a MAC user before so I'm really having a hard time selecting the right shade level. 😊
Yeah NC35 has little yellow but it’s perfect for my skin, rest other shades are either pale or too peachy….
Oddly enough 35 is a tad darker than 37., which is rather non intuitive This sort of non linear increase in depth of pigment is par for the course for MAC. It's because they're trying to go for both the warm undertone and the neutral undertone.
It's best to try a swatch on your cheek and walk around for an hour or so to see what the pigment does on your skin (oxidizes or not ) and then choose what's optimal for you. Mac is good at giving little containers with a sample.

Nc37 make my face orange especially my neck . But I’m nc40 on powder foundation .they tried nc20 on me but I feel is to Grayish on my skin
NC 40 suits me too in powder foundation and NC 35 is closer to my skin in liquid foundation…
Nc 37 looks a little pale for my skin….
If NC 37 is making ur face orange then you need an even lighter shade with correct undertone….

I've tried both NC30 and NC35, NC30 is slightly darker than NC35 but NC35 is more peach color like a little pink color while NC30 is more yellow. My perfect match is NC37 and surprisingly NC37 is lighter than NC30 and NC35 when I first tried NC30 and NC35 they were dark for my skin tone but NC37 matches my skin tone naturally and all I thought was the higher the shade numbers the darker the colors but I was wrong it's not really the case. I even uploaded an unboxing video of my recent purchase of MAC Studio Fix Fluid, Cushion and Powder.

Nc 37 will suit cooler skin tones and NC 35 has less yellow than NC 40.
Personally, NC 35 suits my skin best…it has just the right amount of yellow for my skin…
With nc 35 max liquid fluid foundation which shade of max powder foundation you use?
I am still using NC40 in powder foundation as it suits me, actually powder foundation doesn’t oxidise as much as the liquid foundation….having said that, I might explore more shades in powder foundation in near future….

Green veins means warm undertone… mine is more like neutral as per the veins test but I do have a little yellow on my skin, NC35 comes very close to my skin….
I use Maybelline 230 natural buff. Which mac shade suits me??
For Natural buff, pick between NC25 or NC37….Both these shades are on the lighter side and relatively neutral with no yellow….

I’ve been using NC 40 and I find it orange for my skin. I am medium warm skin tone but I feel I am not very yellow. Just mild. What shade would you suggest ? I want something that is lighter than NC 40 but not very light and is not very yellow like 40 is for me. Thanks.
Nc 35 might be it, I have tried Nc 30 too but found it more yellow than Nc35 ( u can watch the comparison video on my channel )…..
