hiii... i finally tried in mac store like thrice and got nc 35.. looks so bad on me in day light.. so i went and got samples of 35,38,40 to check in day light (inside home, not direct sunlight) all of those look bomb on me after sunset in home or mall light.. in day time they look so powdery,make me look dark and cheap make up finish.. ( i am warm,yellow, golden,medium) i am obviously medium and still these ones didnt suit me. i cant go lighter or darker than these.. am confused !! pls help.. why these didnt suit me.. i do good skin care and my skin is soft. so confused these look so bad on me in day.. my purpose of buying this is for everyday office use.. 😭😭😭😭😭
It is weird that they are not suiting you in day light, could be the dryness or the lighting !! If it powdery during day time then its making ur skin dry, use a good moisturiser ( what is ur skin type )……
Did u find your perfect shade in Mac???....this happens with me also... Warm undertone foundations look good in night but in daylight they look peachy and in night after 3 hours they turn peachy... I want yellow undertone foundation without peachy hue in it... Can u please tell me between 30,35,37,40.. which one has only yellow tone
Yes so far this shade comes very close to my skin, in powder foundation I am still using NC40 and surprisingly it suits me, may be cause it doesn’t oxidise as much as the liquid foundation….
Not necessarily, I still use NC 40 in studio fix powder foundation and it suits me…. The thing with liquid foundation is that it oxidises upto 2-3 shades darker…. So pls check ur shade before buying…
NC 35 gets too dark after oxidation. I want to move one or two shades lighter. Do u have any suggestions on which shade I should try? I use nc 30 in compact.
I have used NC 30 and I find it a bit more yellow on my skin than NC35 :) I also have NC 25 which is lighter than NC 35/30/37..... It has same undertone as NC37 but a lighter shade.... NC 37 has neutral undertone with slight yellow in it....

Do the vein test, google, like for example I have a mix of blue and green veins so by that logic, I have neutral undertone…. But sometimes I do feel I have a little yellow on my skin, like slight hint of it, so there is no fixed formula for skin tone as they all differ so much, but still it gives you a basic idea….

I use Nc 40 in studio fix compact, it suits me perfectly, it is not as yellow as nc40 in foundation…. Hope that helps…

Mac foundation oxidised always it got dark peach for NC 40
Yes same happened with me….so I set started trying out other shades and currently NC 35 suits me best

I can’t recommend shades aise, but for me NC 35 comes quite close to my skin, NC 30 is more yellow and NC 37 a little pale for my skin….
