    I just got my literature gcse result back from my January examination. I got a 9 and only lost 2 marks even though I was only expecting a 7! It’s largely thanks to your videos and I just want to say thank you and keep up the incredible work!

    Hi
    When are your AQA GCSE ENGLISH LANGUAGE revision guides going to be in stock again on amazon.
    I prefer paperback as opposed to reading it on kindle . Are you going to stock them soon?
    Thanks

    Great video! Quick question: should the purpose be the topic sentence or point of the paragraph or just a line within it; basically, how and where do I link to the purpose? Also, this was a brillaint video, but personally I would find it even more helpful if you did a quick model para for one of the points. (Please let me know if a similar video is uo on your channel!) Thanks a lot. :)

      @MrSallesTeachesEnglish  2 года назад +1

      Yes, I have many videos with model paragraphs - pick one with an essay in it. As to the purpose, it can go in any part of the paragraph. If you want to stick to a method, put it in the first sentence of each paragraph.

    Hi sir I have your Jekyll and Hyde guide and I’m just wondering what’s the best way to use it? There’s just so much information it’s quite overwhelming, I’ve made notes on Hyde from the grade 9 essay but am unsure on how I should actually use it. Thanks!

    • @zara5547
      @zara5547 4 года назад +1

    • @elliex5646
      @elliex5646 4 года назад +1

      Flower Flower yeah the Macbeth is really easy to follow but there’s so many words and the analysis is so long I don’t know what to do 😫

      I feel so guilty! Read a section of the guide. Write down the 6 top ideas from that section, as notes or revision cards. Get an exam question, and plan an answer using anything you know and those 6 top ideas.
      Once you have 4 or 5 cards, use them to write an answer to an essay that your teacher suggests is one that might come up this year.

    • @elliex5646
      @elliex5646 4 года назад +3

      Mr Salles Teaches English oh don’t feel guilty! Yeah that makes sense I’ll be sure to do that when I revise it! Thank you sir!

    How many quotes minimum do we have to select form the extract

    • @MrSallesTeachesEnglish
      @MrSallesTeachesEnglish  4 года назад +1

      3 , although the examiners don't specify any number

    • @generalj3093
      @generalj3093 3 года назад

      Do we have to fully analyse all 3 or just make a development of a larger point with them

    • @generalj3093
      @generalj3093 3 года назад

      Also, in one my Jekyll and Hyde assessment, I used quotes from the novella as a whole first and then the extract, but my teacher said that I should write about the extract first
