Todays video is going to cover the mysterious objects within the DCUE known as Mother Boxes. Thousands of years ago, an alien Warlord known as Steppenworld, “the end of worlds”, invaded earth with an army, with the goal of terraforming the planet, using three alien devices called Mother boxes.
According to Wonder Woman, the mother boxes are pure energy, and when three of them are combined they form The Unity. The Mother Box Unity is described as an apocalyptic power that completely destroys worlds while simultaneously recreating the planet to resemble Steppenwolf’s birth-planet of Apokolips. Wonder Woman says “"A Mother Box destroys as it creates. It's a cycle of life, but a million times faster.”

Like with the codex this will all likely change once the real justice league movie comes out, since it wasn't steppenwolf who invaded, but Darkseid.
Tbh I always thought that Cyborg WAS the human mother box and that he completely absorbed it so I assumed Steppenwolf would take the 2 motherboxes and Cyborg but then he showed up w the 3rd one so I was like “wait what” 😂😂😂😂

Great video but steppenwolf is actually darkseid's uncle not the other way around and in a deleted scene once he got the atlantean mother box which held his mother's spirit he tried to release her to help him overthrow darkseid his nephew but still a great video

It's kind of weird that I need channels like this to properly describe a key plot item in a movie instead of the movie doing it themselves.
Hoping that Wonder Woman 2 begins a much more comicbook descriptive direction, with references & world building, by WB from here onwards.
I don't want them to just copy Marvel's MO but god damn we need something else. At this point the DC animated movies are leagues ahead of the DCEU.

@@KeyIssues That's fair enough I guess if you were to make a video with characters like Anakin, Sidious, Yoda, Mortis Force Weilders, Rey etc where you have to do more explaining on why these characters are where they are, it's gonna take a while.
So he screamed soo loud that it reached the mother boxes or was it just some sorta Aound waves from his death (like his auora or presence or power leaving his body?)

they could have gave one of the boxes to the Lantern Corp but instead they give it to the Vikings.
So Steppen Wolf could have come any time BEFORE the Kryptonian came to Earth. What a total wally.
He was in exile for his loss on earth and unable to communicate with the mother boxes, so he couldn’t .

Yeah but no motherbox was awake to call out to him till Superman died. One was awoken by Silas when he used it to save Victor but wouldn’t call out to Steppenwolf because they feared Superman.

Are Darkseid and DeSaad ancient being from a multiverse, which possess incredible technological advancements? As Diana said, they are a billion years old. But maybe even more? To me it seemed like this.. Like, the Justice-League is part of a universe that are the "true" guardians of the universe, and the motherboxes are really some ancient technology that created all matter in the universe, and all other multiverses..? I dunno man, I watched this movie really, really high, and I had a great fucking time man...
Superman was only active for a very short time though before his death which signalled a defenceless Earth... Why didn't the galaxy attack before this?
Because of the First Age of Heroes.
All the motherboxes were asleep before Superman was on Earth and Superman’s death was the signal to come back to Earth. They didn’t come back without a signal because they could’ve took another loss since they didn’t know whether or not the first age of heroes was still protecting the planet. The signal basically informed Steppenwolf that Earth’s protection is much weaker now so he can come back without worrying about a loss.

1. Weird personifying the boxes as motherboxes.
2. Even more weird steppenwolf calling it mother.
3. Makes no sense to see it took Zeus, atlantians, Amazonians and a frigging green lantern to bring steppen wolf down and just superman breezing through the fight in the climax taking him down like a cakewalk. Considering superman, who is just a normal kid on krypton and powerful on earth just due to the fact all human beings are primitive and supermans resistance to the poor gravitational pull of the earth and gaining energy from the sun to get strong, in reality superman should be a no match for the alien warlord.
4. Don't even get me started on aquamans childish portrayal of a cool kid stuck in an old man's body.
These are just few of many reasons why DC fails horribly against the MCU world. Either poor script or direction.
Yup. Ex. the anti-life eq: fear+mockery..=death..blah. Really DC!? It's like marvel's creative meetings involve research on history, science, mythology while DC's involve a couple drops of LSD.
Well it would have been a great film with good writing but nonetheless a guy from the MCU school of thought came in and ruined everything, when the original director had to depart because of a family tragedy.
@@cmonclair27 man it was one of Jack Kirby's creation considering the fact that he was the one to create Darkseid. Said this because Jack Kirby was also involved with Marvel.l, and secondly cuz its something that was thought about back in the day.
HATED what the dceu did with the motherboxes. Hopefully it wasn't in Snyders original story

General Zod is stupidest general in comic book. Kryptonians are more powerful on earth than Krypton, yet what he wants make another Krypton.
He didn't care about super powers, he just wanted to restore his old world.
If l remember correctly, for a kryptonian to have powers they need Yellow sun, zod only planned to change earth atmosphere to be more situable for kryptonian but there would steel be a yellow son
