i was at lindholme on sunday and had 3 hooklengths snap at the hook, you get the odd batches that arent quite right, but i've had it with matrix and preston pre tieds too. the qm1 hook itself is phenominal tho and its my go to for feeder fishing. what size hook were you on? i tend to find a 14 is good for everything, and go up to a 12 when its mainly carp feeding
Hi Mate i was using a size 16 they are small F1s and I've always used QM1 for carp and never had an issue all I have in my method hook box is QM1s. They wasn't snapping just hook pulls
@@mbmatchfishing7632 what weight of feeder mate? just wondering if it was a particularly light one maybe the hook wasnt set quite good enough?? i dont feel like any type of hook is immune to hook pulls but i have always felt qm1's are more reliable, maybe it was just one of those days...
Have a look at the matrix hooks pal iv moved onto them seem to be decent
Keep rod low till they're ready for netting,,will help pal
Cheers mate

I started on 20 grm and moved to 30grm to see if that helped and did a little
Never been a fan of the Qm1 for f1s, I used to like the original lwgs but not fished for f1s for a while so wouldn’t have a clue
I use SLWG mate on pole for them might set a few up for method they are a bit finer so will try them.
The old uncoated ones were bang on but discontinued em for some readon
