I have followed you since 2018 and watched every video, and I have a copy of Imitation of Christ that you signs a note in for me when some friends of mine stopped in at the Book nook, so I'm here for the long haul!
The book 'Imitation of Christ' was one of the first books I read before the Lord saved me. I still have my old battered copy from the early 1970's-I bought myself a new copy several years ago. Pray all is well. blessings

Jonny, this is a great video. I wanted to give you a heads up the publisher of the Philokalia finally printed the 5th volume and is available on Amazon. Also 2 other Eastern Orthodox book recommendations. The Ascetical Homilies of St Isaac the Syrian is my favorite book after the Bible. Second the Evergetinos 4 volume set. It’s is stories from the desert. Published by the Center for Traditional Orthodox studies. I do really love a Theophan the Recluse too!
I did not know volume 5 was out of The Philokalia so I immediately ordered it. I have some books on St Isaac the Syrian but I do not think I have his 'Ascetical Homilies'. I will check out The Evergetinos 4 Volume set which I have not heard of The Center for Traditional Orthodox Studies. peace

I highly recommend Dea Pennock's God's Path to Sanity which quotes heavily from the Philokalia. The Philokalia is a five-volume set but the volume to mention focusing on the prayer of the heart and there's also another collection called "Early Fathers from the Philokalia". I've bought both these volumes hardbound off eBay - some of my most treasured books.
I bought today from Amazon Volume 5 of the Philokalia. I will check out 'Early Fathers from the Philokalia'.
