Hello there! I have a question about the start of the video where you showed a file named Lenovo...(locked) BIN. Where did you get this file from? Best regards
He's probably using a chip reader. So you're basically reading the BIOS' chip with this and you save the file in .bin . Then you use the software to read the .bin file and you do the steps he's doing. So you need a chip reader and he said in a comment reply that the CH341A Chip reader could do the job fine so yeah now you need to check for this chip reader which is a few bucks only, you find which drivers/software, etc to run with this chip reader and you read your chip and save it in .bin. Just make sure you verify the 1st read (there's for sure a button to press in the chip reader's software) and then you save it. Also DO NOT ERASE THE CHIP. It would just make your laptop unusable since the BIOS would be missing so yeah... I hope I helped you in case you didn't find an answer earlier. Have a great day! :)
There is no "BIOS region" in my IdeaPad 3 AMD based laptops BIOS dump file. Hi, the Padding here is started from offset (210000h), and the Password offset is (20000h) inside this Padding, so the real offset for the Password in the file should be (210000 + 20000 = 230000h). Of course the offset isn't the same in every file.

Hello,
thank you for this video.
i tried with the BIOS file from a Lenovo 14W gen2. But not easy, and I saw that on Lenovo BIOS password there are lowercase and uppercase letter, no scancode seems incomplete.
Do you think it's possible to find UEFI password in the bin file from Lenovo 14W Gen2?
Thank you for your support.
You're welcome, I need to see the BIOS file and to know more details about the device, at least if I can't decrypt the Password I will remove it from the file or somethings.
If you want me to take a look on it, you can send me the file and the device Serial Number on Telegram.

Does this work at all with the t460?
Thank you

You need to re-flash the SIO chip and it's not an easy task.
Hi, thanks for the method. Does it work for Ideapad 3 15itL05 or I have to flash EC file?
You're welcome, I think it's not working for this Model. If you can't do it, send me the BIOS file on Telegram and will see what I can do. t.me/WrongChip

como tenho a acesso ao arquivo BIN da minha BIOS?
I always prefer to use an SPI Programmer to get the .bin file and read/write the BIOS chip. Sometimes you can use a software to get your BIOS file (or a part from it), but it's not for all devices.
Bro great tutorial and if you could help, i can't find my bios file or i even don't know where to find it where can i find it or download it pls!!!
You will have to use an SPI Programmer to get your BIOS bin file. Sometimes you can just read it using a software.

where do I get the bin file?
From the chip. You'll need a SPI reader, usually people use the cheap "CH341a" kits, they come with a small clamp that you place over the chip and read the data into another computer.
You are right.
Does this work in Lenevo Ideapad S145
Maybe, or you will have to use an SPI Programmer like CH341A in order to remove your Password.
