  • Gaming Pastime reviews Target: Terror for Wii.
Developed and published by Raw Thrills, Target: Terror was released as an arcade game in 2004 and it was ported to the Wii in 2008. Target: Terror is a cheesy and somewhat enjoyable rail shooter and the Wii port is definitely rough around the edges.

*The reason this feels a lot like Area 51 & Maximum Force is because some of the same staff worked on it.* Eugene Jarvis was a longtime programmer and game maker at Midway Games to include when they had purchased atari's Arcade division. When Midway closed down Eugene Jarvis founded Raw thrills in the same city with some of the same staff that manned Midway Games.

the doom pistol sound is pretty much straight from a sound effect library, they probably used the same one for this game

Kinda reminds me of Time Crisis from when I was a kid I had the console version but loved going to the arcade and using the blue and red guns it made us kids feel badass we would talk about it for days and practiced so hard at home ready for the next time we went back again good times

This is a Maximum Force ripoff but that's not a bad thing. I really miss the arcades from my childhood. 🙁

If this was released back in the 1990s for Nintendo 64 or PS1, who knows how it'd have done.

I see you all mentioning *Area 51, Maximum Force and Time Crisis* and I wonder has anyone heard of *Lethal Enforcers?* the motion capture, the voice acting, everything reeks of Lethal Enforcers in this game.

Holy crap this is Area 51 and Max Force with more levels. Poor taste considering the timing, so why do I want it? Just ordered it on eBay, won’t break the bank and I order some light pistols for Wii since I still have one hanging around. I own a full size arcade cab of Max Force and converted it w flash drive to Area 51 and Max Force, cost me double what I paid for the cab to restore it and I’m completely bored already wondering why I bought this thing. But it’s the nicest 1997 cab around. The reason these are a bitch is because you are constantly re calibrating, and Area 51 has basically two levels and max force has 3 sort of multi levels with many more mini games. This is the same cab, same guns, same everything as A51/Max Force/Site 4. Atari made some good side art though and can get them back in good shape as long as they weren’t left out in front of a Walmart to drown in the rain. I’ve found a target terror at an auction and for the right price I might pick it up. The damn old screens suck so bad to work on or to find parts for. Anyway, long winded but even though I think this is total poor taste of a game, I’d play it on a drunk evening, haha

awful game imo...one of raw thrills worst games. lethal enforcers 1 + 2 are better than this.
