I love the diabetes content, it's why I originally started following your channel. I've got a lovely girl in my class who has diabetes and I wanted to learn more about the experience. She uses the G6 and it is amazing as her teacher to know her levels and not have to interrupt her flow when learning to ask her how she is feeling. She is also hoping to get the pod :)
Thank you, I want to be uploading more and hopefully these changes will be a good excuse to. Thank you for sticking around for my next update. 🥰 That’s such a lovely thing to do, learning for yourself about the condition so that you can support your student who has it. That’s very admirable. ☺️
I have been using the dexcom g6 for a couple of years and have a pump it loops with. If you want patches to help it stick on then dexcom will send ones free of charge but they are seethrough so it won't hide it. To stop it puckering you need to make sure the sticky bit is laying flat before you put it on the skin. I tend to wear mine more on the front/inside of my arm because I find it more accurate and I don't catch it so much. I would definitely recommend testing different locations to see what you prefer.
I’m so excited for this next step, I’ve been learning about how the G6 works with other pumps and in particular the Omnipod. Thanks for the tip on how to try and stop the adhesive from puckering, will take a bit more time putting the sensor on next time. 😃 having watched a few videos about the G6, I think I’m going to wear mine on the front of my arm too… people have said it’s more accurate! Thank you for your advice! 😃
