All exercises should be performed for 20 seconds. To get the best results, do the exercises 3-5 times a day with a variety of distances and visual backgrounds. If you feel too dizzy, slow down or use a smaller movement. Work at your own pace, but remember this exercise needs to feel a little challenging to be effective. *Optokinetic Head Roll Exercise to Treat Mal de Debarquement Syndrome (MDDS) Dizziness:* ruclips.net/video/xpZLo899qEw/видео.html *Home Vestibular Rehabilitation Exercises:* ruclips.net/video/9Au1Sjx2pH8/видео.html *Cervicogenic Vertigo Exercises:* ruclips.net/video/vIwSMOrsD8M/видео.html
Estou fazendo os exercícios para combater a tontura cervicogênica, e estou apresentando ótimas melhoras. Posso fazer concomitantemente esses exercícios visuais?
Drs and other health professionals haven't got a clue. All I get is strange looks and plenty of sympathy. I'm on my own with this. I've had balance problems for 13 years now and it's getting worse! Thanks for your help. The world needs people like you!
super helpful! I feel overwhelmed in places with too much visual stimuli and motion after brain injury. I hope those exercises will help my brain to adapt to such environments.
This is amazing help! Going to put January over to working through the exercises. Hopefully make a donation. $. Very grateful and thankful, I feel I’m on a good path toward getting this miserable condition totally improved. 🙏🏼. UK reader
Thank you for this video. This is the second time I have had BPPV. I know how to do the Dix Hallpike Test and Epley maneuver, which helps. But after that, I felt "off" (something like a hangover) for several weeks. I started to do these exercises, and it helped. My physiatrist said not to worry-it is benign and takes some time to fully recover. Do you recommend these exercises for post-BPPV syndrome?
How does somebody go about getting diagnosed with these conditions? I have been to multiple doctors, ENTs (without much help or diagnosis) for dizziness which was initially brought on by driving. Now driving is very difficult without getting spells of dizziness. I also get this same dizziness while walking through stores so I find it interesting that you mention these visual backgrounds at the end of the video. Any input on how do diagnose would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Sounds like you might have visual vertigo for which optokinetic training may be more appropriate: ruclips.net/video/rZok6mZnhwQ/видео.html This person can help you in diagnosis: customcarerehab.com
Typically how long does someone have to do these exercises to start feeling a more normal level of visual input for normal level of inner ear balance. Are we talking a few days a couple weeks or months?
Slow down then, I have this too, and i found an exersice on Bob N Brad, that helped me to be stable, you have to do it 3 to 4 times a day, it stopped my dizzyness but i'm still experience issues so i'm headed to someone who can see what's causing motion sensitivity, i had cataracts removed 2 summers ago and this started this....adventure...YUCK, i hate dizzyness!
Is it safe to do this exercises if you have cervical vertigo? I do the ones that are for the cervical vertigo but somehow i feel that this condition triggers my motion sensitivity, so i don't know should i do them both? Thank you
Hello, I’ve been dealing with these symptoms and more since a car hit me while I was on my bicycle over 2 years ago. I have some suggestions for your video. Please warn people in the beginning that looking at the next part of the video with the patterns and moving bus may exacerbate symptoms. I almost threw up. I actually couldn’t watch most of this video because your movements were way too fast for me, and if I slow the speed then your speech is hard to understand, so maybe show the movements more slowly at first and then explain the goal is to move faster, and again, please warn your viewers before the faster movements begin. Also, please also advise people they should perform these exercises near a wall, or something they can grab onto in case they lose their balance. I stumbled and almost fell with most of these. I can’t really do any of these without feeling super sick. I also have synesthesia with visual and auditory stimuli so it physically hurts me even watching this video. I’ve done most of these before with little to no results, but maybe I need to be more consistent. I work with a physical therapist who has been super helpful, but I am still struggling years after my accident. I will try watching this in slow motion with no sound, that may be the answer for me. If you have any knowledge or suggestions about the synesthesia I would be eternally grateful. Thank you for putting this information out there and having the heart to help people who are struggling.
Perform exercises more slowly. If dizzy... stop and let dizziness pass. Then try again, but more slowly. Over time, you speed up the exercises as dizziness improves. As always, make sure you have correct diagnosis provided by your healthcare professional with correct treatment.

When you are moving your head, keeping track of your finger, can you blink, or do you have to hold a gaze?
You can blink.

I think your body is in that phase of getting used to to the exercise. Watch the video again and keep practicing. I bet you, over time you’ll heal.

When I do those I get so tired in my eyes and head that I have to sleep… why?
