Just drive with a bike or car to the next big city. I did it too bc in my area there’s literally no one playing. Drove to city and played 15 raids. It’s not hard to find a way

I live in a big city and nobody plays here. And I’m downtown. No parks or university has players. So I would have to solo raid mewtwo. There is no solution unless I wanna drive 3 hours
When you use the purified gems, you have to wait before attacking the boss, otherwise the gem will not be used, just stop taping on the screen.
To be more precise, only charge moves cancel the gem animation

The first raid he did was so hard to watch.. he didnt even try using the purified gems he tapped them maybe 3 times and kept using foul plays. Your moves will do nothing dont even try attacking just use purified gems and wait

In my town, we are usually only 15-30 people meeting up on Wednesdays at raid hour, depending on the raid boss and the weather. Today we started out at 10 am with at least four groups with around 20 raiders each and, after we had split up in mostly team-based groups, we met plenty other groups throughout the day just out playing together in the fantastic weather. I never thought I'd see this many people out playing in my town again. It's been years, before I started playing, so I'm pleasantly surprised with the results of Niantic's recent decisions.
Managed to do 22 raids with a few decent catches, the best being a 13/13/15. Only one very sad shiny though. Sadly I won't be able to raid much tomorrow though but I hope to do a couple raids in the morning, gotta have that shashundo!
the elite raids were a test by Niantic to see player appetite for local raids. since they saw enough promising data, they are releasing these kinds of raids.

was such an exciting first day of Mewtwo raids for me, I carpooled 6 people around to do raids it was epic. I ended the day with having done 22 Mewtwo raids!!!

Regardless of the recent changes that force players hands, i must say today was the most fun ive had playing since johto tour. Irl events are the way, as long as youre safe about it. Met a lot of new people today & it was excellent
I pity everyone who isn’t in New york. I went to the city this morning and every single shadow mewtwo raid had a constant full 20 stack at all times. Got 6 shadow mewtwos and will be going for the shiny tomorrow

I hate it not having people that actually plays the game in-person around. At some point we gathered 5/6 people on a raid but people left before starting the raid...
i wasnt expecting to be able to do a raid today but I meet a few locals that played and we did a few! got a three-star shiny on our third raid!

The fact that you cannot remote these raids is super frustrating for me because not a single soul plays Pokémon go in my area😢

Meanwhile I live in a rural area and have been driving to Mewtwo raids all day and cannot find more than 3 people at any of them making it impossible to do this. 😔

18:45 regarding enjoying time togther, This was not contingent on in person raids. my friends and I would meet up and hang out even when we would remote raid, I still do not understand niantics agressive push for in person exclusive raids

Something to note is that there are raid hours for Mewtwo; one at 5pm, another at 7pm. At least, that happened on Saturday. Not sure if the same would occur on Sunday.
We had raids pop up throughout the day in my town, though we had to walk quite a bit to get to them. Didn't notice any particular rise in numbers at those times, but I suppose that could be coincidental.

If we could remote raid them I would be out doing more. I had to stop playing because my group was done. I wish we could just be able to host them. I think the 5 remote raids a days balances it out. Getting rid of remote raiding is too much.
i got 16 purified gems, 3 for the twitter post, and 3 ingame because i had 3 shadow shards, and got 9 from a raid
I had my worst luck today my 93% and 96% shadow mewto ran away 🙂🙂💔💔💔 now the best one I have is 88% 🙂

That's what I think Niantic is being myopic about...There's either the I LIVE IN THE STICKS AND NO ONE IS HERE problem or the NO ONE PLAYS HERE EVEN IF THERE'S A LOT OF THESE RAIDS AVAILABLE. Remote raiding made the community better, not worse.

You can definitely duo shadow Mewtwo with good enough counters, and most importantly counters adapted to the moveset. I have been able to do it against Psycho cut/Ice beam, which is not quite the easiest, but not irrationally hard either. The main difficulty resides in timing your gems right so that two players make it up to 8 quick enough. We actually had to try a second time because we had poor timing using our gems at first
About the math btw, I'm pretty sure the chance of getting a Hundo after purifying is 1/(1000-26), which isn't 1/37. If it was 1/37 it would be hella cracked, but that's 1000/27 which isn't the same as just taking out the 26 possibilities (no need purify if Hundo already). Either way the video's a banger, keep releasing BT!!!!!

Seemed the MewTwo raids here were sporadic and far apart. As in can’t even walk from one to another. So much for Niantic “mission statement “ they quoted for the remote raid nerf.
If they had to in-person lock shadow raids anyways, I have my doubts the remote nerf really did what it was intended to do

I got a hundo shadow abra from a grunt this week!
While i am glad people are able to get so many raid in, they really make you have to pretty much spend the whole day or several hours just driving around or walking around to gyms for the hope of running into a gym that even had a shadow mewtwo to fight. Really makes it hard for people with families in which not all of their family members play to do this since you cant just take that much time out to just drive around or walk around.

Apparently shadow tyranitar is better and makes duo possible. It tanks enough time for each player to throw 4 purified gems
Shadow Tyranitar has similar dps as Darkrai, with a better matchup vs Flamethrower. It could already duo regular Mewtwo, and shadow Mewtwo is 20% more glassy than regular Mewtwo. What really can be an issue is the subduing phase if you don't manage to sync up your gems
I played my first 5 raid and not even get a single 3 star ,then i closed the app and played after 2 hr and on my 6 th raid I got 3 star shiny Mewtwo 😅

19 raids no hundo/shiny got 2 3star three different people in the raid group got 2 shinies each. I did get a shiny houndour (my first) though.
Got 2 shiny, a 91 iv and an xxl mewtwo! And i finally got enough xl candy to max my shundo mewtwo to lvl 50

It's ridiculous no trainers should be left out should have allowed remotes not everyone wants to meet up or has gyms close by
You do know from 2017-2020 there was no such thing as a remote raid and everyone survived lol
And back then it was crap! The world has changed a hell of alot since then it's evolved peoples living habits have changed people work from home and so on. Time for Niantic to adapt along the way.

Not a guaranteed catch there have been other raid that have had them run away after all the balls
started playing last december. Heartbroken they didn't allow remote passes. 4 gyms within a 30 min radius of me and I tried them all, max we could get was 3 people. Really wanted a mewtwo

I got a shiny shadow mewtwo on my 5th and final raid of the day, bad IVs, but whatever, it’s rad. I have enough to field a whole team now, so that’s awesome. One of the random folks out there had just gotten out of the hospital after a transplant, couldn’t catch him on an earlier raid, so I gave him some tips and he caught it, yelled so loud all the people around thought he caught a shiny 😂

I remember when shadows first came out and you were able to trade shadow pokemon. I traded my friend a shadow snorlax and it came out as lucky! Unfortunately she passed away and I have no idea what happened to that one
I complete all the raids, with 2 other friends. We are all around lvl 40. Not much time left, but definitely possible!!
