Excellent breakdown Danea on the critical micro-components that are the foundation to a strong and powerful Forehand Drive!
I come from the Racquetball World so I understand and use many of these techniques...but it is *always* helpful to revisit my mechanics to make sure I am leveraging ALL of them with excellence.
Not to mention this will become an excellent video that I'll be saving in my repository for when I am teaching these mechanics to my pickleball students so they fully understand how to implement, practice and drill on each component of the Drive Swing easily....so yeah - thank you for this!

Thank you so much for your comment Corey! I was actually pretty nervous to do this video because I don't come from any type of tennis/racquet sport world so I found that I really didn't understand how to hit these shots because I lacked a lot of the background/foundations to swinging sports.
I found that these drills really helped me learn the basic mechanics and took me to a place a good starting point to create a consistent swing.
I'm by no means have the most powerful drive in this sport but I really wanted to create a video that gives people with no background (like me) a starting point for this shot.
      Really appreciate your feedback!

Hello. What is your grip. Is it continental or slightly western. I couldn't really tell.

I have a question. After a game, players go up to the net and greet each other saying "good game" and pad with paddles.
I see so many people pad with grip end instead of paddle end. What is that about?

Probably don't want to damage their paddles.
