AMP (American Muslims for Palestine)board member Saleh Sarsour, was imprisoned for eight months in Israel for using his Milwaukee furniture store to transfer money to Adel Awadallah, the leader of Hamas’s “military wing.” The AMP is one of the main benefactors of the Students for Justice in Palestine organization which organize pro-palestine protest on dozens of American college campuses.😊

I have one question: why didn’t they protest against hamas when they held Israel hostages and were torturing them. Kids and old ladies were tortured, beaten- where were they???
A protest is by definition an objection and statement to express disapproval.
You can’t disapprove the events of Oct 7 without disapproving the horror Palestinians are subjected to on a daily basis. If you believe that torture murder and kidnappings is wrong then it is WRONG. And it being wrong doesn’t apply to when it just happens to Israelis it is also wrong when it happens to Palestinians and unfortunately Palestinians have been subject to this for years. I am a graduate student in Japan, studying Frankfurt school, especially Walter Benjamin, and lived in Boston to study fine art. I am in solidarity with students who stand up and speak out for peace, justice and human rights. Latest academism and education are focusing on issues of human rights and post-colonialism, so the students who speak out do nothing wrong and should be proud of yourself.

It didn’t exist under the Ottoman rule or the British Mandate or, in the end, under a United Nations Partition Plan that was rejected by every single Arab state and Palestinian leadership. It didn’t exist when the Palestinians were governed by governments in Jordan and Egypt (a time when there was virtually no international pressure to create an independent Palestine) and it didn’t come into existence when the Arab states rejected Israel’s peace gestures after the 1967 and 1973 wars….

@@corpsman827 As a matter of fact, the word "Palestine" doesn't even exist in the Arabic language, and is a borrowed word (it is Latin in origin).
IOW, it is meaningless to consider the so-called Palestinian people as some kind of indigenous ethnic group, when the truth is that they really came from various parts of the Arabic world and invaded that region.
And to make matters even worse, the so-called Palestinians can't even properly pronounce their own name!
