Is there a way to only have the light come on when truck is started or doors unlocked . Not on 24/7

Are these legal to run while driving or just an effect on start up?

I'd say perfectly legal as long as they are not blue lights.

Yep they are legal. As mentioned above, if they were red or blue, you'd get in trouble. White or amber is fine

I was going to do the running boards that lower down but I was lazy plus I'm an electrician 😂
