Hey Geoff cartie thanks I say all ur video ur the best real I learn a lot of things from ur video I mean now I know what things do to in Thailand for my next trip to Thailand because I when to Thailand in 2015 sptamber I was stay only Pattaya in Bangkok every day the same go to bar go to club then come back my hotel but this time I know about Thailand I like swimming diving fishing how Thailand is so beautiful beaches wow thanks for ur videos

Great job Geoff, I was in Koh Tao last month. I try to spend a month or 6 weeks every year in Hua Hin City Thailand with a side trip. It was a week in Koh Tao this year and it was just great. I dunno why I had the impression it was going to be more expensive kinda like Phuket/Koh Samui but I was pleasantly surprised and simply loved it there ! Well described !

Wow, things changed in 2 years since being there last- "chill,chill burger" restaurant used to be 7-11 store. Oh well.Sure glad to hear the duck noodle is still there we enjoy that spot.

If you want a good Sunday roast, head on up the hill past where you said there was a good noodle shop, there is a good place on the right with a nice beer garden. Was shown it by my cousin, who has a house in Sariee, lucky bugger!

What can we expect to pay for air con TV not too fancy?
I'm paying 1200 baht a night. Which for two people is cheap, on my own so it's ok, but I think looking around the average price is coming at around 1700 to 3000 baht a night. Try trivargo.com or booking.com, or agoda.com. And compare the prices. I only ever do a couple of nights. Then if I like it, I stay and try and do a deal. If not I look for somewhere else. That way you are not tied to the place if you don't like.

You definitely don't want a cheap dive shop. I look for boats that take very small groups with experienced divers. I want dive masters that don't make everyone ascend when the first diver runs low on air. Also look for operators that will take you to the best dive sites.
I envy your exchange rate Geoff..we only get roughly 25-26 thb to a dollar (canadian).

Geoff just a thought.... Why don't you get loads of t-shirts printed while you are there in the LOS and you can get them printed too, dead cheap in Bangkok!
On the front you could print Chang di di Chang Chang! And maybe on the back you could print GET IN!!
then sell them to your fans and subscribers and help finance your next trip :)
I for one would defiantly buy one as I'm sure loads of others would too!

First time travel Thailand Hi Mate. yes more back packers, No massive Hotel chains there. Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese tend to go on a 2 week package where everything is organised for them staying in large hotels, this is more of a independent trip involving booking your own buses and ferries etc. There were a couple knocking about, but certainly not a crowd following a little pink Flag in the air ?

First time travel Thailand No Chance on Koh Tao Mate, it aint that kind of place. just restaurants and beach bars, its more like the quiet side of Majorca than Thailand. if you want female company, I suggest you take your own with you from Hua Hin or some where similar? hope that helps.
ko tao is great except when the full and half moon festival are on and its filled with filthy backpackers.

Looks like the white boys bring there own white women with them,even tho they might be friendly they really don't like to see and old guy w/ his young Thai mia noi,I've been stared at a lot by white women in Bangkok at MBK when I was w/ a young Thai lady. ,
