No, not an instrumental, you can hear Kanami's' guitar singing the entire song with backing vocal by MISA.

Watching them perform this live is incredible. They are 100% locked in with each other for the whole song. A small lapse from anyone would put the song in jeopardy of sounding a little off center to the audience but they nail it every time.

If you really want to hear something "a bit softer", I also recommend the MV to 'Daydreaming', my #1 of these ladies, 'About Us', which they wrote especially addressed to all of us during the lockdowns, or 'Endless Story' which made even the ever-smiling Akane on drums get emotional during their US performances last year. I recommend the MV first and then this short fancam of it ruclips.net/video/WOM0-MahpAw/видео.html . But be warned, all these songs have a tendency to blur your vision a bit. :)

Try 'Day Dreaming' or 'Wonderland' ... more 'balladie' but Kanami manages to throw in some of the most powerful solos imaginable while still making it fit perfectly with the songs.

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this song performed live three times with this MV quality in Tokyo & Kawasaki and dropped my jaw three times 😲. I believe so did many of American audience in their recent two US tours. This song has been normally played in the middle of the setlist to give Saiki, lead vocalist, some break. They played this song, however, as opening at many festivals and in Guns N' Roses concert in Japan as support to the legendary band. Yeah! they showed off their skills and talents to the audience who knew nothing about the girls in maid outfit on the stage. I felt as if I heard them screaming "Hey guys! Listen to us and open your eyes wide! We are not the persons that you think ! Salute us!" 😄

@@greylocke100 Probably (or most surely), the synthe play and programming are done by Mincho where the melodies and lines are written by, mainly Mincho, and independently from her, by MISA for her bass part and Ahchan for her drums. Another way of saying is that there are three song writers/arrangers in the band, and almost every musical piece of them is a fruit of their collaborations, not without greatest contributions from Kobato and Saichan.

I knew about Band-Maid for a while, but "From Now On" killed me. I became a fan. I love this band. I love the sweet girls vs. their hard music. This is one of the most perfectly constituted bands that I've ever seen. They compliment each other like a jigsaw puzzle. THIS is NOT a ballad; this is unrelenting killer heavy. The stops and transitions are smooth as silk. I love this song. Btw - for instrumentals you might try "Don't Be Long", b-side of "Different" (Let's ... go ... it's ... showtime). There is a live video of Don't Be Long from the Gramercy '19. The Maids have such a fun time, especially the effervescent Miku. Just dropped recently is an instrumental version of "Sense" from Unleash. I heard it for the first and twentieth time yesterday. Akane (the "Gorilla") beats her drums like a rented mule and the mule owes her money. Sweet Mincho wields her axe like a serial killer getting busy..

A superb band of top flight musicians. Kanami's ever more complex songs means only the finest musicians can cope and cope they do in spades. She has to be one of the most creative lead guitars in the world.

About instrumentals. Saiki the lead singer has had throat surgery in the past so the band are very careful with her voice. They play 2+ hour shows so to give Saiki a break around mid-set they do three things. 1. Play an instrumental, 2. Miku (rhythm guitar) takes lead vocals for a song or two (she has a track where she takes lead vocals once per album) and 3. Miku will do her legendary and hilarious "Magic Time" MC set. Then Saiki comes back on to finish the set. So yeah, they have a number of really cool instrumental tracks. Check out the live MV of "Onset" for another instrumental banger!
