FYI: I don't use automation that much because I'm not doing the mixing on any of my projects, I send that off to someone else. Logic is purely a songwriting tool for me
Loupedeck does send MIDI, so you can easily map all your parameter knobs, buttons, etc, but the process would be slightly different. You'd configure the loupedeck controller to send CC and PC messages, then inside Logic, just use the standard "Learn" functions to complete the mapping.
yeah. I do this with a stream deck in order to change modes for my plugins, when using a midi twister filter. works like a charm. also touch portal is a champ and SUPER cheap for what it offers
It is essentially a midi controller and hotkey macro pad. If other controllers can work Pan and Volume or EQ settings (and they can), so can LoupeDeck, if we can only figure out how.
Very cool… I've been a long time Logic user for 30 years and I'm always looking for new ways to streamline workflow with external peripherals like this. I also do a ton of photo and video work, so this thing looks like a game changer. Great content by the way… and your music sounds great!
Using LoopDeck with Logic Remote is the answer to all the cons you noted. LD has all the functionality LR is missing and LR covers all LD’s shortcomings.
yeah im actually shocked how little I hear of people using logic remote. especially since you can use multiple devices. I have an old iPhone at the mic stand, and iPad mini at the desk
I legit only found out about logic remote like 3 weeks ago. it makes a ton more sense at this point, but my LD also works across a lot of softwares I use as well
@@flipnap2112 I really liked logic remote but it kept disconnecting. Now I use Batch Commander for Logic Pro and a touchscreen. It’s like having a Slate Raven.
Who has ever scrubbed forward or backward in a DAW ? Controllers seem to make a big deal about this, but to this day (decades working in music) I have never seen anyone scrub through a project.
@@BrandonWells I'm sure it happens, but it seems so vanishingly uncommon in a world where you can simply jump to any point you want, rather than having to 'travel' or 'progress' there. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've never seen anyone work like that and I've been in and out of studios for years, decades !
almost a year into it. How has it been? Any glitches? I need to control non Logic , professional, plugins, 64 tracks, automation, editing tools, fader movement etc. Lot' sof scrolling back and forth, track muting, ...but most importantly map parameters of my most used plugins consistently to the controller - example a channel strip. Will this keep up?

ah nice! thanks for the kind words. hope the Loupedeck helps
@@BrandonWells sure is - it's sped up my Logic workflow immensely!
Good video 3 years ago! Curious if you're still liking the Loupedeck or if you're using something else.
these days - primarily just the Logic Remote app on iPad

I downloaded the Custom Profile for Logic Pro X but when i try and open it, it tells me that I don't have and app that can open it. Im so confused
Thank you for explaining many of the aspects that can be modified.
Love your track 👍
Thanks for checking it out!

I scrub pretty often while tracking when doing takes and re-takes

Bro your song slaps! And the music video too! I have a loupedeck + and I've been wanting to use it with my DAW, I'm gonna try it after watching this
thank you! sorry for the delay lol. how's it been working out?
Nice video tutorial, I've been looking into purchasing a Loupedeck for Logic Pro X. Glad that Loupedeck has a template.
did you end up getting one?
what happened?
Good job! Considering getting one for recording and videos. Thanks for your unbiased opinion
appreciate the feedback! did you purchase one yet?
Thx a lot! Cool song man!

nah, i'd recommend looking into something else for all the control you're looking to get. LD doesn't control plugins
Google "HODER MUC"
How did you change the colour of the Record button to red?
I don’t believe I changed anything actually. Was just the premade macros
