Joe, you've become my go-to guy when it comes to getting some unbeatable deals on guitars. I appreciate what you do and how you generously share the treasures you're so good at finding. I feel like I'm not missing out on some great deals with you on the ball. Thanks, Bud!
Thanks for everything you do joe! Thanks to you I discovered Amazon resale guitars and recently picked up a monoprice indio dlx ash body for $95. It is solid for the price.
Best deal ever for me was when you tipped me off on the Monoprice Boardwalk in natural finish for a ridiculous price in the mid 70 dollar range - I forget exactly, but 75 -77 bucks. Been about a year now I guess, but I relive that triumph every time I see them listed now at $230 - $250! LOL It's a good feeling!!
Yes I bought one as well and ended up giving it to my nephew for his birthday and wished I would have bought 2. Exceptional deal hopefully comes up again.
It's been a while, but Monoprice used to have solid sales, then they had major blowout sales that would last about half a day. They have definitely slowed down their approach.
I've been loving these cheap guitars, because the quality is as good as anything at a higher price range. They go up in price with more features, but still quite affordable compared to brand name stuff. I had 3 recent purchases, all under 60 dollars. I don't mind if they need to get setup, I can future it out. I've been looking into this guitar, and the higher end bullfighter guitars. The volgoa brand is all sold out for some reason. I'm seeing some similarities in the necks between all these higher end Chinese guitars, so they may be coming from the same place.
If the guitar is playable it could be a keeper. I still have my $69.21 Indio Boardwalk in Natural all maple gloss w/cream binding - I don't think I 'll ever beat that deal! Rob
Add EMGs and a Vintera "soft-V" neck and you've got a "Delicate Sound Of Thunder"-era Gilmour Strat for $614,500 less than the original went for at auction!
I'm curious as what counts as playable. I'm sure it differs a lot depending on who you ask. Everything I've ever picked up has been playable to some degree, but where's the line?
Playable is action not several inches off the fretboard, and fret ends which don't shred your fingers right out of the box. Intonation that is "close" is a bonus.
For me it's a working truss rod (I live in the desert - rarely do these guitars *not* need a neck adjustment for me) and at least a somewhat well-cut nut (high nuts are the most common sin I've found in these affordable instruments). Fixing relief is a breeze with a responsive neck - as is adjusting the bridge in most cases - but the nut is another story. That's something I won't tackle on my own, so it would probably be the deal-breaker. With CNC technology I find, though, that these guitars are playable more often than not. Golden age indeed!
On the Amazon listing for this guitar, there is a product suggestion inserted: "Higher Rated Item to Consider" -- it's a Ktaxon brand S-type electric guitar in white (w/gig bag & accessories) for $59.99. (shipping is $19.99, however). Technically, that's a lower price, right?
The whole listing stinks of junk and bad English. On the picture of the parts, it says "Equipment Sound Hole." You get sound holes on acoustics. They mean an input jack. "Finger boards"....really? Might they mean frets? The one that gets me though is "Pickup" with a picture of the bridge. I think what you got there is a brand new wall hanger, sir. You'd be lucky if it has a truss rod in the neck, let alone one that works. I can't wait to see this one......and if it works for you, that's great. I'm not a gear snob - I have some "low end" guitars that play and sound great myself, and I know not everyone can afford a new Les Paul. At least you can get a return on it if it bottoms out on you, and that's a good thing.
Almost all of the cheap overseas guitars have poor written descriptions. I Think its up to the translation program they use. A lot of them come from the same factories these days.

Hey Joe, first time viewer here, looking forward to your findings. I got a Zeny strat back in '18 with all the stuff you got, plus a 10w amp, for $80
Like the price of a Subway Sandwich...HA! Amazing find Joe.

Yes ,that was a "blowout" deal and one of the BEST deals i've ever come across.
@@chasbee yes, I got in on that deal, too. Just check my records and the price was actually $65.62 + sales tax, with free ship! Purchased 6/10/23.

@@robraleigh8614 You are right, went back and checked again as well. Even better than I remembered!
Hey Joe, hope you are well. Description says guitar is pink but picture looks red. Will be interesting to see what color you wind up getting
Got a Monoprice Indio Tele for $80 about ten months ago.

I believe the Gearit LP p90 guitar was $63 last year. I bought one of those and still have it
nice one brother!
hekk you cant even get a decent neck for 63bux lol!
Morning Joe. Keep these coming. Based on your review, I might get on for my wife.

Yes Rob. That might have been an "all-time" classic deal!😁
@@AJgeartalk I'm sure it cracks the Top 10!
Yeah, that deal is pretty much irresistible

EBay has free shipping on the same guitar.
You're correct with your math if you disregard shipping Rob.
Joe, didn't you get the Indio Helix for around $35 not too long ago? Wouldn't that be the cheapest electric guitar deal that you have come across?? 🤔
Good catch (memory) Todd! You are absolutely correct.
Pretty soon they’ll be paying us:) Tx, Joe and good luck! With both the guitar and your compulsive behavior:)
Too funny Craig! Hope you are doing well brother.
@@AJgeartalk I’m attempting to control my own compulsions:) I still have the Indio semi-hollow that you pointed me to for $65 and change. Tx, Joe!!
@@CraigMJamieson That one's very hard too beat Craig!
Of course, the Indio had only one “fingerboard” and it did not have a pickup that was custom designed to look like a bridge:)

@@SearchingForTone Exactly. Has nothing to do with finding a "decent" budget guitar at a great price!
