Here's a track I made a couple of years ago but never released. I'm working on a lot of new music right now, but in the meantime : here it is ! Hope you like it.

Madeon is so talented. He makes such creative, melodic, versatile music. It doesn't matter about fame or any of that. He could EASILY be like Martin Garrix out in the spotlight taking selfies with crappy hashtags but no. He's really stuck to his word, letting the music do the talking.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think Hugo said that the voice is Charli XCX's, which they recorded together for a song, which ended up as this one after he decided to chop them up

haha yeah, when i first heard it i immediately thought that it sounds like something i would hear on a loophoof live, and the chops are obviously pony chops. crazy to think how i've basically come to know madeon thorough loophoof tweeting about the iconicness of icarus at the times of all my friends releasing, and now, five years later (having listened to good faith on release), i'm finally going through the adventure era and this track specifically, hearing loophoof. also, the bit at 0:28 sounds like it was sampled in a very memorable thing connor_gregory8 made for loophoof at that time (status id is 1173929025317658624)

I believe it's a bit of both but more targeted at rising artists. Take Project 46 for example who went from Monstercat to Ultra. Monstercat is just a platform for artists to start out, and though I can't find the quote, they have also stated that they expect most of their artist to move on to bigger things.
Fair enough… Given Monstercat could sign a big name producer it'd be stupid to say they wouldn't take the opportunity. I agree with what your saying but believe Monstercat focuses more on recognition of artists that create quality content but go unknown to the public.
While this was Monstercat's original goal, company values do change over time, and so their focus will be different to what it was in 2011.
