    A contrasting opinion. As someone who also stayed through the storm and a week after it ended without any assistance from anyone, I find it interesting that someone is taking photos of the "rescue" probably a day or two after the storm. As you can see, there is water in the yard but none on the road which is clear of water and debris. They could walk out and be picked up by police or any number of emergency vehicles that were constantly in all neighborhoods on a daily basis. At least three teams came by my house every day. Search and rescue teams visited every home within two or three days. So, was HELP on the windows for a photo op of a Coastal Guard chopper rescue? Is there a Go Fund Me, Tik Tok or social media promotion of this rescue? Just in case you don't know real estate prices on Sanibel, this is a multi-million dollar home that has no apparent damage. Choppers and Go Fund Me resources would be better spent elsewhere.

    • @raizakloss
      @raizakloss Год назад

      I think you are misunderstood Brian. Sanibel was wiped off from vehicle access after Hurricane Ian. The bridge & road that allowed us to get on&off the island was severely damaged. So yes the only choice to get on was by boat or flying, which boating can only take you so far in the beginning days after such a catastrophic hurricane
