Problem isn't with him. Problem is with people who watch him coz even if u're sane he'll bombard you with his 10 chutiya thoughts and wud kinda make some impact in ur thinking. But recently I have noticed that YT pushes his videos even to those who remove him from their recommendations, so it is safe to say that someone who's new wud definitely get his video on his feed which means YT wants people to listen to him which is very odd and suspicious.

This was probably Abhishek Upmanyu's best work till date. The story he told was like the plot or the script of an amazing dark comedy film. On top of that the fact that it's based on real events of his life is crazy. The life he's describing is actually really dark and full of struggle, a bad job, horrible working conditions and being extremely close to a life of addiction, but he made it into a stand up routine. That's why Abhishek Upmanyu is great, one of India's best comedians.

As a guy From Bathinda. I can say that the details the told about the refinery are actually true. In the Model Town Area of my city, everyone with a house has an upper story portion which are rented by the refinery engineers only. Surprisingly, majority of the these engineers are from other areas and slim to none work there who are from Bathinda or Talwandi Sabo. I see them wearing their Fireproof suits and waiting for their buses to go to the refinery and the detail he told about the workers chewing on tobacco is actually really true!! I don't know about other areas but here, a tobacco brand of 'Cool Lip' really prevails and I've seen a lot of refinery workers taking that. Another detail that might seem an exaggeration is the mispronounciation of 'Upmanyu'. this is actually true that people of Bathinda/Talwandi Sabo really find it hard to pronounce extraordinary names. Kudos to his Talent!!

Everything that Shwetabh explained made more sense. Dhruv is no-where near any capacity of Shwetabh.
Shwetabh simply rambled, going on philosophical tangents without saying anything of substance at all. He’s using a lot of complex words without actually countering any real arguments or even giving any real and genuine opinion, and his fans thinks that means it’s “deep”.
His own wife is a doctor and probably outearns him, while he mostly stays at home (nothing wrong with that), so he clearly supports highly educated and independent women with ambitions, yet he pretends he’s not a feminist because he knows his audience won’t like that.

I am not a supporter or hater of Dhruv or Shwetabh, I just want to share my thoughts or doubts that I am having. At this timestamp, shwetabh said "Dhruv is saying if a person is disagreeing with my views then they have been socially conditioned" but I think if the woman on the podium thinks that way then she has been socially conditioned, she saw things happening like this in her life and she thinks that it's correct. Isn't it an example of social conditioning, where her environment conditioned her into thinking things that are not right or am I missing something?

I was also thinking the same while watching Dhruv's video. I mean he always puts research papers and stuffs but somehow I don't agree fully to his this video, it feels like he has put personal opinions based on societal thinking. Anyways at the end of the day if we come to conclusion that humans as a whole should be equal, independent of caste creed sex faith religion, then its a W. Dhruv and Shwetabh are two of my favourites from indian yt creators. I gain a lot of knowledge from both of their videos and shwetabh makes me question everything unbiased, totally based on articles/research papers. My social circle has also improved and i debate in a healthy manner with my female friends in such sensitive topics. I can put forth the best points from both ends of the argument, not just one. And i feel this is the peak mindset of a thinker when one can argue from both the sides.
There's a hidden philosopher in everybody, no one explores that but that's the only thing that makes us human nahi to creatures banke reh jayenge iss duniya namak jungle me. I hope no one becomes an extremist of any kind aur insaan ko insaan ka darja dena seekhe. Lastly i'd say, data is everything, keeping stereotypes and emotions aside, research about the actual numbers and statistics of the phenomena, you'll grow a lot and think beyond just an 'internet identity' which you're constantly associating yourself with, the day you see yourself as an individual with your own set of philosophies based on pure facts, you'll be the peak form of yourself and people will find you intellectual and kind. Also, you have to give people liberty of their biases to some extent and keep some things which you don't know as "I dont know, so i'll not speak on this". You'll be at peace with yourself and you'll pose no threat to other people psychologically. You have no enemies (mandatory Thorfinn reference xD)

@@S-tx2lk @KY-tx2lk well what I learnt was that the video was presenting the points only on a surface level if you try to go deep and cross question it with data you will see that it just tries to spoon feed you a narrative you can also see that the video itself tells you what is bad and what is good without letting you think and form your own opinion and many points that were made by dhruv just led to absolutely nowhere and there are many more such things in this video
And about shwetabh reacting to every sentence I can see why you would be annoyed by that as it would seem inconsiderate of shwetabh to just blurt out words without listening to dhruv's first but I believe that is a way to streamline you thoughts that come to your mind immediately after listening something by speaking them out loud if you think his questions are dumb then so is the hollow surface level statements made by dhruv all that immediate questioning really helps to not get swayed in the narrative made by the person in front of you

@@ralph9141 So many people disapprove or bash feminism thinking it's something bad thing. So Dhruv's video was about the basics of feminism, and according to that, yes everyone should be feminist otherwise you are just misogynist. It's common sense, it's nothing like spoon feeding a narrative.
And if you will go deep into it, then of course it's a vast topic. There are various types of feminism, in different eras, there were different types of waves of feminism. We can talk about that for hours. We can be in favour of one type of feminism and against another type of feminism, at the same time. But Dhruv's video was about basics and there is nothing wrong in that.
Second, Shwetabh was definitely reacting incorrectly without understanding the context. For example, when Dhruv presented testimonies of male feminist, he wanted to prove that male can also be feminist, it's not like that only females are feminist. That's why, he used known male feminist celebrities. It was not about that Rahul Bose is feminist so I should also be, as shwetabh thought. That was not the point.
We should first always understand the creator's pov, type of videos, and should react according to that. Otherwise it feels out of context. I'm a fan of shwetabh, but this whole reaction video seemed out of context and useless.😑

Shwetabh is not disagreeing with the point of dhruv, he's questioning is way of proving the point by showing what some popular personalities said on this, that cannot be your substance for proving a point, that is not an intelligent way. Also on many occasions dhruv banked on some points which he took for granted, without any proof of statistical data, on some occasions he seemed to have an incentive bias towards some points, shwetabh just pointed that out that his data was not totally scientifically gathered.
On many occasions shwetabh says "I agree with dhruv 100% on this one", no but why would you wanna acknowledge that?
