I feel for the Grandma. My oldest son was an addict, stayed on the streets for 2 weeks (18 years old)then went to rehab after praying and begging him. He left rehab only after a few days. He did stay off the street's after that but was still an addict. He past away at age 21 in 2014, he was the sweetest, most loving son to me, I miss him so much!!! My heart goes out to families that are going through this. Sometimes they just aren't ready to get clean when you want them to. But don't give up, keep praying and loving them any way you can. Thank you Michael for being the voice for Dominics Grandma, I'm sure it means everything to her. Much love....💖

He always says the unhoused frequent the Taco Bell area a lot. He is never sure why but I think its because you can get a hot comforting meal for a couple bucks. Even McDonald's is pricier and probably not as filling.

Michael, you have the patience of Job!! Dominic is such a wreck physically and mentally. I know that heat and no fluids is deadly enough compounded by whatever he is imbibing. I know he's one of many and it's sad. It sounds like his family loves and cares for him. You are a blessing to so many! Thank you for offering "a hand up" to help him and others! P.S. I appreciate you handled him in a nonjudgmental manner..whereas some people would have been like “I told you so” and gave him a lecture…you just excepted that he had a relapse and didn’t dwell on it….I really hopes he can eventually get clean

I've been homeless slept in my car showers in library bathroom .. and robbed cars for a living instead of panhandling.. imbarasing for anyone who has to resort to it .. but they do the world is tough on people sometimes you just need a helping hand
strange thing about homeless, they never say steal, or they were stolen from ... they always stay rob, robbed or robbing!? Usually I hear, I was sleeping and I was robbed ...
I missed the part about why Dominique did not want to see his grandmother but most likely I would think it is because of shame. He respects her.

To bad they couldn't just go get him and place him in rehab before he's to far gone . I know it doesn't work like that. It brings tears to your eyes .. he so young.
Sounds like he wants a nice hot meal now. I would take him somewhere for food and encourage him to go back home. (Which you did)❤️ so sweet to pay for that girls meal. You’ve got a memory like no other with people. I would have taken his picture for the family. You never know when they will see him again. A photo helps to know he is okay. I know the family wants him home but they also need to know what they are up against and if he’s using, the family needs to know. He seems hesitant to want to go home. Too bad he won’t open up why. Maybe he doesn’t want to involve the family in his drug use. Dominic appears to have a good heart.

Mike, I'm sure you are aware that Nov.8th, 2022 is such a important time for voting, I know Adrian Fontes who's a registered Democrat is running for Secretary of State for Arizona, I only hope you VOTE for this gentleman. I understand the people you are helping have a lot to deal with, I truly do mean that, and alot of your friends have no kind of I.D, your friends that are in some kind of " good" shape I can only hope they vote also, that is some kind of way to have a voice, I'm completely aware that more then 70 per cent of the poor DO NOT VOTE, and the homeless it even more that can't vote for the reason of being homeless, I can only hope if there is even ONE person out there that can vote they do, YOUR FRIENDS MATTER ALSO, so does there vote. Thank you, you are doing a great with your friends.
I hope he does go back with his Nan. He needs feeding up, clean clothes and a haircut, and he will not only look a hell of a lot better, but I know he would feel better about himself. He seems such a genuinely nice lad, just needs to get off his current path, I was lucky, I knew 3 Nans, one was my Great Grandmother. Tell him from me, they are not here forever, and to cherish the time you get to spend with your Nans. He is still young enough/healthy enough to turn his life around, I pray he does. Hey Micheal, great that you went to search him, he seems to have some issues with the way he speaks, if you have any contact in any good hospital and if you can make him go there, it would surely help him become better. If he settles into being a homeless he would lose the way forward. God should provide you health and will to go on supporting and restructuring such good lives.

You are really doing the Lords work out there. I was homeless living in California for about a year. It's not an easy life style, very unforgiving to be on the streets, the stuff a person ends up seeing and hearing, and getting involved with. I pulled myself out of that environment though, it can be done. I'm far from what I used to be. And I'm grateful. I imagine this Arizona heat is a whole different kind of animal for the homeless. Keep up the great work good sir, hope these people can turn their life around. I live in Tucson now, 29th and Craycroft is a really rough area as well.

I watched both videos with Dominic - the first one I felt he was silently asking for help by giving you his grandmothers number without being prompted. This video feels like he is lost and kind of regretted giving you his grandmothers number without saying that. I am going to search for another video with him in it to see what happens.

I was fortunate enough at a very young age (5-6) to have walked into the wrong viewing room at my grandfather's funeral, I was so confused at how an otherwise healthy looking young man was laying in a coffin. I asked my mom if she knew what happened to him, she later found out that he had overdosed on Heroin. From that moment on, in my mind anyway, drugs had become the Enemy of Life! I hope that everyone receives the opportunity to be scared away from drugs, they are truly the destroyers of mankind. 😪❤️

I've know Dominic since he was 10. Got him back to his Grandmother in New Mexico last winter. Sad to see him back in blues land. I'll keep a eye out for him. I do the same thing you do on the NW side of Tucson but more clothes.

I hate how drug addicts feel the need to LIE TO EVERYONE even those trying to help them and not judging. Makes it real hard to wanna help them when they cant even be honest about being high of which he was.

He lives with the grandmother in new Mexico!
He looks like my younger brother. Growing up he got growth hormone injections to make him taller but his appetite stayed the same as an 11yr old boy. It wasn't illegal drugs that made my brother so thin. I hope my brother is doing better now but I haven't talked to him in about 10 years.

So it seems like he doesn't want to talk to his grandmother,- family, but he wants to communicate with them through you.
I can see where the loved ones of people in Dominic's position would pretty much have to write them off has already being deceased just to get through the worry of if you ever hear from them again. Such a hopeless and painful situation to be in when it's someone you love and you can't make them straighten up and fly right.
he wants to be completely clean before he goes home ... and that may not happen anytime soon

Everyone say a prayer that this young man fights that demon of drug addiction and that his life changes and he is drug free it is hard but with God's help the demons will be released and the road to recovery will happen
It's great what he is doing for the homeless, but he shouldn't keep telling them were he lives. They know the car. You never know what could happen to him at his home.
