I believe Rick is a hoarder. Living next to a dumpster and can't throw their trash away. They need to do at least something for themselves. You are a saint for sticking with them. People who have homes and food and think they are in bad shape should watch this!

Hey Michael, you have so much patience. I don't know how you do it. Why don't the homeless clean up their sites. Being homeless doesn't mean you have to live in such a mess. 99% are able to get around and you even leave trash bags for them. I don't know. It seems they may possibly lose their self worth. Am I right. All said, you are a good man.

I live in Tucson I have my whole life and it always kills me that i see so many homeless people and girls that are homeless but what you are doing here in Tucson is amazing. I've been waiting for somebody to do this here in my city because God knows this city needs all the kindness people can give. Thank you for what you do seriously!!!! UPDATE: the brothers have both been involuntarily committed
To help these brothers would probably take court action
And that would involve a lot of time. As they would have to be declared incomption. Was told by a lawyer onetime its hard to do if they have any mind at all. But wish they could be put in a place where they were seen after.

I don’t know how you have the patience to keep helping people who show no gratitude and don’t want to help themselves. Trust me, I do understand mental illness but I would be so frustrated by them. X
They are grateful, but have mental & physical issues. Never judge another unless you've been in their shoes. When you have nothing you get rid of nothing. They can eat stuff that would make others sick, because their body adjusts to it. Bless your heart Michael, for not judging & helping them. My prayers for all.

Sadly every shopping cart stolen makes goods more costly. Their has to be alcoholism, drugs, and mental problems. I mean literally laying in their own excrements with flies. They throw their cig butts just anywhere. The wasted food is sad as these guys seem to need more help then anyone could provide. They must spend all their money on something besides food. Sad but when do they ever help themselves if someone does everything for them. You are doing God’s work. Thank you

I don't know how you do it. Very frustrating to see how they don't seem to appreciate anything. Other people on that bus are put in jeopardy by their uncleanliness. Mental health plays a big factor. They might appreciate it more than we think. I’ve worked in an elderly facility and at some point people just stop responding like they used to, but they still deserve humanity.

Lucky, they have you. Was homeless in san diego for awhile. Police were very strict.and buses not free. These guys are lucky in someways. They are easy targets

I've given them water too. They don't care about how they live. I've seen them deficate and vomit and bile all over the sidewalk. They have lost all ambition for life. I wonder what will become of them. They have each other at least. They live just outside of Funtastics so shed your kids.

I see what you mean Michael. Since Rick is a hoarder and there are plenty of shopping carts you should ask him to use one basket for trash & another for what he wants to keep at least this way everything is off the ground. And maybe everytime he had a full basket of trash then reward him with something. I don't like to say like a kid but whatever works for them to keep trash off the ground is good.

Realisitcly, how long could the brothers remain in that spot before the city forces them out? I know you always encourage everyone to clean up and keep the areas clean so as to avoid attention, but if they are just going to trash that area, how long until they get the unwanted attention? Also, are they on the shopping centers property? If so, it would be very easy for the property management company to trespass them.
The brothers are out of the hospital, wearing paper scrubs and back on the streets, so I have been told.

Something seriously terrible happened in their lives that’s caused them to live like this! It’s terribly sad!
I live in Tucson Arizona. We are seeing so many more homeless people because the rents went up so much here in the last few months. We’re gonna be looking at a new California if this doesn’t stop. Very sadHave a homeless couple living in their van here in the parking lot where I work.
