I work with Att and not only do I use this phone as my everyday phone. I have pushed this phone to several of my customers. They all love the phone and so do I. Motorola really out did themselves on this one.
They did a great job with it for sure and Motorla has had GREAT deals.
I’m really glad to see Motorola doing better on the software updates. I have really enjoyed several of the Motorola phones and some other Lenovo devices. I still have 4 of the phones.
For anyone debating between the zflip5 and the razer+; the razer has a bigger screen, a more comfortable frame, and a much more sleek design (imo) and the zflip5 has marginally better battery life. The cameras are both very similar on both, and the zflip5 reuqires you to download extra apps to be able to use the apps that you want on the cover screen. I'd rather use the razer because its just cooler, and i have a small amout of disdain for the wya Samsung's software looks. I have owned both since launch (;
Agree. I had both and the motorola Razr software experience is so much better. So, so much better. Even after installing goodlock. Thats why i let the zflip 5 go back. I can't see how someone that has used both phones extensively could think otherwise. You can true multitask on the cover screen, with minimize on the razr, cant on the zflip. The bigger outer display really does make a difference. I got so aggravated with the zflip, apps such as 2FA could not be used without opening the phone and drove me nuts. They give you this big outer display but crippled it with a dumbed down widget interface thats very limited and unless you have used the razr plus, you have no idea how much they held back on the cover screen software experience. I truely felt cheated..I also watched all the reviews between these two and i was totally against purchasing the razr due to every single reviewer saying how terrible the motos camera were. Well don't believe everything you see, its all personal opinion. When i received the phone i was like come on, the pics from the razr are perfectly fine for 95% of the users out there. Such a great and underated flip phone. The only place where i see samsung stomp the razr is on software updates and length of support.
Why don't they offer on with a physical keyboard?
Long story short I've had Apple, Samsung and Google phones for the last 15 years. Samsung was by far the most problematic and I'm just not really an apple guy. I've had google the last 6 years and honestly love them but I'm really digging these flip phones.
Due for an upgrade this summer and wondering if I should just hold off to see if something new is on the horizon. Held the flip 5 before and like it. Recently discovered the RAZR+ though and wow thats caught my attention.

I have both phones. I agree with you that the Motorola Razr Plus is just an overall better phone. Its just lighter, thinner, and a much better cover screen. The phone is just fun! I rock it with no case and just love it. They just need to add more AOD clocks!!
Love my Razr Plus!! Got it in August and it's not showing any issues. The updates have been good too. The last security patch/update increased battery life somehow.

Those shake features are sooo dope! I could've sworn my Pixel 2 had a shake gesture for the flashlight, but my memory's not what it used to be. I know the 6 or 7 Pro maybe both have the tap gesture on the back I haven't checked on my 8P.
I love gestures like that. It almost feels like a hidden feature.
I was thinking about going with the Razr+, but I ended up with the Z Flip5 due to better durability and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. If Motorola can improve the water resistance next year, I will definitely consider it.

Like you I got my Motorola Razr Plus when it first dropped and I got to say I'm glad I did this is one hellava phone great experience holding up great and I use it on a daily basis still works and functions and looks like the day I took it out of the box I highly recommend this if you're thinking about getting a flip phone Samsung flip 5 is probably a great choice to. I almost pulled the trigger on that one too. I still might maybe once the price drops a bit.
@techodyssey how has call quality been with the phone? I seem to drop calls continuously with my Pixel 7, so I'm getting over having a great camera and AI features and really considering the Razr +.

Yes but I'd recommend buying best buys protection plan. It's saved my bacon
For me, Z Flip 5 wins hands down. Just learn how to customize it with Good Lock. But Samsung doesn't make customizing it very easy. Cameras could be better.
I've seen other reviews on the razor phone and most of them are saying it's a great phone with better features than the Samsung. In reality most of us don't notice the difference in processors. At least I don't. I just use my phone like any normal human. No need to see anything magical.

In the MKBHD test, Asus ROG phone 7 Ultimate came at the top for me in two categories and Pixel 7a on one.
Per lots of research before I purchased the flip 5 the Motorola Raza hinge does not hold a candle to the Samsung
I wish Mitorola increased software support for their budget and midtier line up. On par with Samsung's 3 years OS and 5 years patches. In that case it allows to buy budget Moto phones which can be heavily discounted. In that regard Pixel 8 and Pixel 8a will be a great buy at the end of next year if Google offers the same discounts as now because they have a very long life of 7 years software support. They sell new Pixel 7 PRO ( white color) for $440 ( 50% reduction).

I miss my.Magenta Razr plus. I got excited about all the trade in hype around the z flip 5 that I was able to get the flip 5, 2 watch classics, and some bands for $100 less than the razr so value wise I got a lot more but I miss it
Love the phone but after 6 months of usage, the screen literally cracked in the middle. Getting a replacement from T-Mobile.
This is a better phone. I actually had it but I traded it for the raz40 . Call me crazy but I like the simplicity of the Razr 40. The zflip 5 is ugly. I traded it back to best buy. That's how much I hated that phone. Most ugly outer wasted exterior display

Can anyone report the longevity of their Razr? Especially the hinge? I accidentally fell asleep and rolled over on my razr with it still open and sprung it backwards. I paid extra for protection and replaced the phone. I love it, but I've learned to be careful now. I wanna start seeing longevity videos of this phone now. It's been out long enough i think.

Well I have a problem with Bluetooth on this phone, I have 3 different pairs of earbuds and when I'm inside No problem at all but when I'm outside the sound would go from one ear to the other and even stop for like 2 to 3 seconds. I can't enjoy listening to Spotify . I have no problem outside with my Galaxy Flip 4. For the rest the phone is good.

Hey my friend I love your videos you're awesome and I listen to you and watch you all the time... But I bought the razor back in September and I'm having big issues with the screen on the inner screen with open and closing it but whatever it don't matter it's through AT&t..
And it's around around with the what the phone being messed up by the folding part the inner screen is f***** up but between Motorola and AT&t it's ridiculous joke I got insurance on the phone obviously but it sounded warranty so in other words the phone did not last that many flips and I'm easy with my phones I take care of my phones I have screen protector you know I have a case on it and all that but I don't know I'm going to buy this phone out and get the s24 plus Galaxy just saying no mean if I can talk to you on the phone I explain it to you don't understand anyways it's all good I like your videos you do a great job just letting you know my friend!!!

I compared both phones at my local store and came out with the Z Flip 5. The Moto hinge felt cheap compared to the sturdy feel on Samsungs. The cameras looked way better on Z Flip too. Older chip, less software support, and i DID watch that super popular torture test they did between these two phones on RUclips, that was live for 4 or 5 days, the Z Flip5 went way passed what its rated for! Double, actually! The Moto hinge crapped out way BEFORE Moto's rating for folds on it. Many reviews have also said the Moto hinge feels crackly and cheap by comparison. Glad its working for you but i dont trust it. Also, literally every camera review I've watched between the Moto and the Z Flip 5, the Flip 5 blew it away. Every single time. So im shocked anyone would say the Moto has better cameras. Even my own eyes saw all the highlights completely blown out when i tested it.
I'm getting mine for free with a promotion from spectrum just have to trade in my old phone which is really outdated

I've had my Motorola Razr Plus since the week it dropped and I use it on a daily basis and I've had no issues at all with the hinge or the screen still as good as the day I unboxed it
Motorola had been doing hinges for a long time. I think they've been doing it even before Samsung. So the durability issue is not completely accurate. I have no issues with the Motorola hinges. They might make a little noise when opening but it works just fine. Plus I think the stock Android on Motorola is way better.
Take a look at the videos on the samsung and see all the problems that's having. Screen turning yellow or lines running down the middle. Delamination of the screen. Issues where it folds because of the bigger bump it has.

How can Motorolas flip phone be better than Samsung, if it's 300$ cheaper? That's a big difference in cost. At 699$ your not quite in the flag ship territory not these days anyways. It's a mixed bsg of vegetables because you don't see mid range flip phones hardly ever so Samsung is really the main other competitor.
