  • Dr. Naila Ramji, a Maternal-fetal medicine specialist at Horizon’s Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, discusses birth defects, which affect approximately 1-3% of the pregnant population.
    In this video, Dr. Ramji discusses some causes of birth defects, signs of birth defects, how birth defects are diagnosed, and prevention measures of birth defects. Dr. Ramji speaks on the types of birth defects and the options for managing these diagnoses, depending on their severity.
