I was born there 1988. My parents and family always speak about how nice the Locals treated them and they also spoke about one specific family that they grew very close to because they had a small child that my family grew attatched to and they wished the could’ve brought the little boy to the states with them. I was also named after the Philippines.
I am Montagnard Jarai tribe from Pleiku Central highland I was refugees in Cambodia in 2001 ,I came to US August 8 / 2002 ,I watching you video make me want to cry 😢 😢
I was there from 01-07 1987. I think my circle was around 94 or something. I remember Mr. Garlord, Ms. Becky Davis, and Anh Bob from Michigan. It was such a magical place that I'd never forget.
I was there 1986-87, cycle 67. District 6 where all Laotian people stay. who else still remembered Mr. Jess Israel. He is an ESL teacher in PASS school. He was my favorite teacher of all.
This place of morong Bataan I've never forget in my whole life., I'm a Filipino but my father lived and work inside the refugee camp., whoever those lucky Vietnamese friend of my father Papa Ben who selling merchandise (San Miguel beer). I'm his son and now living in Calgary Canada... it was about 1987 to 1990.
God bless Papa Ben! While I was there between Jan 87 - July 87, Almost every afternoon, my friends and I got our San Miguel from him. He kept us happy during our times in PRPC. One afternoon, the rebels came down from the mountains looking to buy supplies from the locals, and We had a brief lockdown until they were gone. Glad We had our San Miguels from him with us at that time! Tell him I said Thank You, and God Bless him!
It seems like mountains all around as you step out of any buildings. I would either walked or took motor tricycle to the temple or visit some friends in 8 or 10 neighborhood. Nobody, could go passed the monkey house or out side of 11 neighborhood and if you were wondering and stook up on one of these mountains and look around what you only see was ocean. I was wondering how my mother would jump on the boat one date and escape to Palawan Philippines and we finally meet here in Bataan Camp after so many years before we got on the airplane to USA. Thank God we are here and thank you for posting those pictures it's bring so much memories from Bataan Refugee Camp.
I was there cycle 124 and help as a AT in PASS. My son was on the Youth Chore @Phrase 1 Church Pastor tên là Kellum Douglas (nhà ở vùng 1). We left Bataan on May 1989. It good to see touching memories. Thanks and God Blesse All.
