Bonsai is my current favorite.
It's baffling that games with a common row of cards to pick from are still being made without a refresh market rule built in for lower player counts. Such a common design overlook that alone mess up scalability big time.
Yes exactly!!! Unless its part of the restriction....
Dune Imperium is one of the high-profile offenders. Even Uprising doesn't have it baked in (you need to houserule it). Immortality had a refresh rule but it was very pasted on and you get _fewer_ of them at lower player counts
Meanwhile Copycat, another wp+deckbuilding hybrid, nailed it since _2012_

What if Azul and Cascadia had a baby then… interesting but the restriction as-in like Tiny Towns will stop me from getting this
interresting and check a lot of boxes i like in boardgames. Those relaxing weight games i tend to like more and more.
The only big stuff that restreins me here is the solo mode which has no "challenges" to beat in order to have something more interesting than a simple "Beat your own score"
Imho those "multiplayer solitary" types offfering a solo should have some sorts of challenge instead of a BYOS tableau.
Games such as cascadia and calico offers those, and even if some of those challanges are not quite interesting nor based on luck it is still much better than a beat your own score.
I might tried it out anyway, then selling it or offering it to some friends.
Good idea to replace those orange cubes with nice little insects ! looks way better on the table !
The art is beautiful! Although I haven't played it, it seems like this is a lot like Neotopia and costs a lot less! I love thinky games, I might check this out. I also would love little animal pieces to go on the wooden tiles!
Where have ypu bought the meeple bees and ladybugs ?
I just found them on aliexpress by typing "tiny beetles" even though later I realized they’re not beetles 😅
