Lorna Doone is also a literary figure, the cookies came later. More people are familiar with the cookies, though, for sure.
Lorne Doone is an old classic novel, and was a movie back in the 1920s or 30s. There was a punk singer in the 80s named Lorna Doom. I think Lorna Dune is a play on the title of the novel/movie rather than the cookie.

The lipstick color reminds me of the K Weiss cream blush that you loved, Inner Glow. The uniqueness of the shade is what made me think of it.
Upon rewatching this video today, I realized this one is why I own not one, but two Gucci lipsticks in that exact formula, in The Fallen Sparrow and Mildred Rosewood. Yes, floral raspberry smell, and perfume flavor, but delightful everything else. Love them both.
The Gucci fragrance/flavor is violets! If anyone is familiar with Chowards Violet Mints, it's pretty much spot on. I love it, but if you're unsure about making an investment and can't smell the products in person, order some violet mints to test it out!

Oof that lipstick! Gorgeous. Love the whole look, and great to hear your thoughts on all of these products. The bronzer pan is removable - there’s a little pin hole to pop it out. Don’t know if they actually sell refills though.

This is my favorite ever eye look for you, and I adored the addition of Nymphette! Can’t believe how perfect Lorna Dune is on you. I was wondering before this video what you would think of the Gucci Voile formula. It is my absolute favorite formula of all time. It feels like a chapstick, and the coverage is some weird hybrid of sheer and lipstick formula. I hate the fragrance, but I’ve gotten used to it over time. I thought the Merit lip might be similar, but it’s comparatively way lipstick-ier.

I have the bronzer and absolutely love it and the packaging makes me happy and puts me in a good moods. It is refillable and most of their products are, which is really cool to see a designer/ high end brand pushing at the beginning.
I love the bronzer so much ! I have shade 1 to contour and 3 for the actual bronzer and they work so good together for me . The powder was a bummer but it’s ok ❤️that’s all I own Gucci so this was a lot of fun !!!

Today you inspired me to open my After Baume and layer it on to address the issue of an Elta MD sunscreen that tends to dry me out when I wear it. First impressions: wow she thicccc! Like frosting! But now it is on my face and I am loving it. Fingers crossed this helps solve the dryness problem bc it is such a nice sunscreen but I am completely desert-dry by mid-afternoon.
Ooh yeah it's like if I had conjured the idea of a barrier cream in my mind. It's not fussy, it's very intense, it doesn't do anything "weird" or try to separate. It's a very straightforward product for once.
To update it made the application of the sunscreen really emphasize the minerality of it…I’m v pale and it doesn’t leave a cast normally but there is a definite cast. But my moisture has maintained so it’s a trade off!

My one and only Gucci purchase was A Royal Scandal. I loved the formula but I had an allergic reaction. I replaced it with 1990 by Merit.

Great review! I like the Gucci bronzer but prefer and use Sisley. The Sisley is illuminated without glitter plus the formula is what I prefer, baked gelee. I got a sample of the foundation. I have dry skin. It looked horrible no matter how I prepped. I find their lipsticks nauseating. I hate perfume like fragrance. To me the shadow palette was a major pass. Mediocre shadow in a cheesy package. Plus, from what I’ve been able to determine, there are no plans to offer other palettes. I guess I see it as a money grab. If someone likes it, I say go for it. All of that said, you created a beautiful look. I always love watching you and hearing your opinion. 😊
I love the Athr rose quartz pallet so much.
I own the bronzer. Gucci advertises both the bronzer and powder compacts as refillable but, as far as I know, they don’t sell the refills yet. 🤷🏼♀️
The Gucci bullet lipstick tastes really bad. It tastes like perfume to me. I had to wipe mine off today. I prefer the Gucci lipstick in the skinny, longer case for both texture and taste! But I don’t think the Lorna Dune color comes in that formula. But try Peggy Taupe or Linnet Stone. I think you will like them.

When you asked “what’s on my face” at one point, I responded “ cat hair” like you could hear me. I have one medium to long haired cat and if had a dollar for every hair I pulled off my face or out of my mouth I’d be retired living on a fabulous tropical island 😂. I’m surprised I don’t have a hairball problem.
I have a cat like that too and I actually keep a spoolie on my desk to get at those annoying little hairs. Works great for when you can’t seem to grab it and is especially good to avoid disturbing my eye makeup.

That lip is perfection on you! I have Pat McGrath Divinyl Lip Shine in Nude Venus and I think the shade is super similar but a less opaque glossier formula

Love this video!! I’ve been on the fence about that palette for ages, and it’s Hannah’s fault I own like 4 Gucci lipsticks - Lorna Dune looks good even with my pale, cool skin. That bronzer, though… makes me angry, depending on what you wear underneath it, it does NOT want to blend. Had to declutter it.
Maybe it's just my screen but the bronzer and the lipstick shades really play well together.

That lipstick reminds me of Maybelline number 930 Truffle Tease. I also have the same problem with lipstick colors. My lips are the focal point of my face and everything looks horrible but I can get away with this one. I also have the same undertones as you and cool tones pull warm on me… it’s weird 😂
The bronzer reminds me of the Guerlain Terracotta (holy grail!). Also very fragranced, but beautiful.
Which shade do you have? I ordered the lightest one in the Sephora sale and returned it because it was like a bright apricot blush on me!
I use #3 brunette. I just find the undertones are unique and closer to an actual tan. Mind you, if you’re sensitive like me, the fragrance might break you out, but the formula is just so fine and classic, I can’t get away from it. I suggest trying some other shades to see if maybe a different undertone works better for you. This looks stunning, however. I love the big brush! Now I need one ☺️
I didn't understand what shade the bronzer is.
I would love for u to compare the gucci lip stick with the chanel “boy” color in the rouge coco balm. And it smells/tastes a lot better

Big fan of the foundation - however, I have only tried samples - and I love the lipsticks. That being said, there are dupes out there unless you want a specific colour like I did (obsessed with orange lipstick. That’s what got me. Still trying to dupe the $100 Hermès holy grail. Not possible). But also, the packaging here is fantastic 🥰🧡 Just so beautiful and old school, which I love.

Hey Kackie, this is not related to the video topic but wanted to let you know. I have been trying to get the BM concealer and I can’t find it in my shade. They may be discontinued. 😫 OMG that lip!!!! I am not easily impressed but damn. Too bad about the flavor, that’s a deal breaker for me!!!

how does the well people bronzer compare to the gucci bronzer? I had an old version of the well people loose bronzer that was red leaning and LOVED the tone, so I'm wondering if the rosiness carries over to the newest well people pressed bronzer.
It tastes like the candy "violette" "violet" or whatever that is called... and it smells like violets (their signature scent)... their matte lipsticks are epic but yup the taste and smell omg lol.
So I know this video is all about luxury makeup, but that Gucci lipstick I was obsessing over until I realized I have this wet-n-wild lipstick named Clothes Off and it’s like the perfect “greige”. Just thought I’d throw that out there since it’s I think under $5 as apposed to $42 🤗
