    About 10 miles away from the New Haven IKEA. I happened upon your video as I searched for issues with the clips not keeping the shade from slider left or right (the same blinds a few years older in another room do not have this issue). Fortunately you mention pushing in or down on the visible clear clips. Thank you! On second thought I don’t see how the clear clips that are protruding from the front can do anything other than be pushed in which then releases the blind from the brackets. Definitely not as good a bracket as the former design for this reason and they push the blind too far away from the window. I rarely buy IKEA products but these WERE well designed in the earlier version.

    3.5 miles Leeds (Batley) IKEA from my house (15 mins). Sheffield IKEA is 23 miles and Manchester 27 miles, Liverpool 48 miles. On Monday 4/1/21 Leeds one of the last Ikea’s still open before lockdown. People there from Liverpool, Manchester, Southern England areas because IKEA in their areas closed due to covid restrictions.

    This may be a silly question, but when you pull these down do they stop at whatever length you want or will they only stop at that full length extension? Thank you!!
    I am 3 miles away from an IKEA in Redhook, Brooklyn!

    • @FieldGuidetoDIY
      @FieldGuidetoDIY  3 года назад +2

      Roxana, no silly questions here. They generally stop at whatever adjustment you leave them at (but I have found closer to fully extended or all the way down I have to extend it PAST the sill to get it to rest on the sill). I hope this helps. PS - I was born in Plainview in Nassau County. Thanks so much for watching. Keep the questions and suggestions coming.

    IKEA state you should only cut back a blind a maximum of 200mm or 8 inch (100mm and 50mm on shorter blinds). I asked assistants in IKEA and they could not tell me why you cannot cut back an IKEA blind more than this. Anyone no the reason for this?
