I'm from Lebanon myself and I can relate to a lot of the things he said. The civil war in Lebanon was a time of great hardship for everyone that lived there. I lost many family members due to random car bombs exploding randomly at unexpected places. It is an experience i truly wish the world could be free from.

Hes right about the bombs, i was in Lebanon in 2006 when the war broke out with Israel. I remember gettin back to America and hearing planes and just being terrified. Planes really freaked me out for a good six months after we got out of Lebanon. Shit was fucked up

HAWAII was bombed AT Pearl Harbor. Hardly the mainland of the USA. Japanese planes could only get that far before they ran out of fuel. All were Kamikaze suicide pilots. I am pointing out what Serj was talking about. We're pretty Goddammed safe here compared to the rest of the world. We're separated by the best security possible. The best young rapper is Joey Bada$$ by longshot, but nobody talks about it because Kendrick dominated the mainstream with his album full of auto tune, breathy singing and irritating pop beats.

My dad went through 2 civil wars, the Libyan one and the Lebanese one. In the Lebanese Civil War, a bomb passed so close to my grandfather that it nearly killed him. He survived, but his hearing was disabled for life.
