I’m having a love/hate relationship with the reshade. I think it’s so pretty with the colors and like you said it makes the colors everything seem softer, although I wish the shadows would be toned down just a teeny bit more. I think it gives it much needed depth but on certain items it can be really pronounced and it’s all I notice. But overall I think I like it! Use whatever you want to use, as long as it’s inspiring you and keeping you creative that’s all that matters! 🥰🤍
I just had an idea; could you try to make a house or apartment using ONLY one expansion pack, one game pack, and one stuff pack? And no base game (except walls lol)
This re-shade makes me think of paralives-I like it. I also love how almost everyone in the comments is very proper with their punctuation and spelling/grammar.
I really like this reshade inside the apartment. I thought that the shadows were just a littttlleee bit too harsh in yesterday's video but today I didn't feel that way at all. Plus the extra part of the mesh that shows up bc of the shadows does't really bug me that much! If it inspires you to build and makes you feel refreshed then keep using it! My favorite part for some reason was the desk right in front of the windows, so cute!
The transparent thing is not a "part of the mesh that's been left out", it IS the mesh! That's part of the 3D model that is the item, the leaves in the plants for example are just a PNG that works as a texture on the model so I doubt it can be fixed because it would require to edit the model itself (make a more detailed one)
yes i was about to comment this, it's basically a way for the sims team to make some complicated looking shapes/meshes without making it graphically intensive
Eyyy good to see some people knowledgeable in 3D modeling and game design! Yeah it’s a common technique to make things looks nice without using lots of polys :)

The reason the plants look like that is because of how it’s modeled! Instead of having individually modeled out the whole stem with leaves and such, it plant itself is just a flat plane/rectangle with a plant texture on it. Then, every part that doesn’t have the green plant texture on it goes transparent! Reshade can’t put a shadow under just the leaves of the plant because there is no “properly” modeled edge! Its basically just a picture on on a see through piece of paper haha. I should also mention that this is intentional and it used to make plants much faster and with less geometry!
There’s something about seeing the builds come together, her sweet voice describing it and talking to us like we’re her friends, and just enjoying the video that makes it so satisfying and able to ease your stress 💗

I like the reshape for interiors so much! Exteriors, it’s just a bit different than the normal so it seems drastic I think. But really, it is pretty just takes some getting used to!

I think you should use whatever reshades make you happy because at the end of the day it’s your channel and your builds. Personally I really don’t mind seeing how different reshades look on your different builds and it helps me find new reshades for my game lol. Maybe a good compromise would be to change it up every few videos?
I like the re-shade more in the apartment since you didn’t have to do any landscaping. Maybe you can use this re-shade for apartments and the other re-shade for lots.

This reshade is really beautiful! I think the shadows are quite dramatic but the colours and softness looks beautiful and goes well and compliments your decorating style! I would love to see a mix of this and your usual reshade :)

Reshades can be very nice, I think this one is ok for some items, but the shadowing is intense on warmer shades I think. warmer browns, reddish tones. It really depends on your building / design style. I'd be interested in seeing this redshade on an American Southwest color palette, with intense colors and shades, seeing how the shadows would appear.
I love the texture pack or shader pack or whatever it’s called, but I could see how people wouldn’t. It’s very harsh and looks more like real life, but I like those aspects
