- On this one, I share another moment of my day-to-day life where I decided to play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, on my PlayStation 2. Such a great game! It, definitely, made my night more cozy and enjoyable!
Hope you feel the vibes too, and transports you to memory lane!
#tonyhawksunderground #playstation2 #retrogaming
this is what i want to go back to living again the days when 2008 were here and this video kinda fits the time period
Hope it brought good memories 🙏
FYI: just shared a new one 😊😉
Yes, I clearly remember that in 2008 I played on my Playstation 2 Tony Hawk's and I had that same CRT TV.
I wish I had this guy's eyesight
Well look how far he sits away from screen…safety first!
y
A lot of crt guys love the 13 inch ones.
CRTs be the only true way to go with them older consoles
Stay off yo phone that might help
I'm not completely sure why you shared this, but I'm SO happy you did.
I honestly didn't expect to get this much nostalgia from this video....
This was EXACTLY like coming home to my cousin's, sitting on the floor in their room and watching them play all these PS2 and early xBox-games, talking and laughing and being SO invested in the gameplay it felt like nothing in the world (not even bedtime!) could stop us! 😅❤❤
THANK YOU for bringing this feeling back to me!!
Especially during the holiday season...
I miss them so much.
Also, this video actually makes me wanna look for an old TV and play my games on that instead of my emulators 🙂
Thank you so much for this comment 🙏🤌
I’ll keep on doing them exactly because they bring me that sense of nostalgia and the great memories, and I assumed others could feel the same.
FYI: just shared a new one 😊😉
@@Justafonso Hey, thank you so much for telling me in the comments, I didn't subscribe last time.
But it's all good now. I'm now an _official_ subscriber to your channel and will watch your content whenever I need a break from this world (which can be quite often)
Thank you again for a really cosy channel! 😊
You're important in this world! 💗
@@RosieBrownie thank you for those words! Hope you enjoyed them 🙏🙏🙏😊
As a kid who wanted a PS2 (because of friends who had them) and got an OG Xbox on Xmas 2002 (that belonged to Dad, mind you) There was something absolutely next fucking level about the graphics and sound quality. Project Gotham Racing was NEVER before seen fidelity on a game console. The first day we had the console we ripped CD's to the HD (console has a hard drive?) and made a mix, saved it, named it, and figured out a week later we could BURN CD's from the Xbox... a video console that could burn CD's? the fucking innovation. man, the possibilities seemed absolutely endless in 2002, it geeks me out. Versus, nowadays, where we have way more access than that, but feel more disconnected than ever.
I just realized, as the amateur I am, that I, actually, played Tony Hawk’s Underground, and not Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 🫣
Probably, many years ago, when I last played it, I put the THUG on the THPS3 case, and I didn’t even realized while playing 😂🤷♂️.
The fun and the memories were there anyways, that’s what counted for me!
A chilling Autumn evening, hope you enjoyed as I did ☺️🙏
no DLC, no updates, no micro transactions. full game experience.
And cheat codes to boot
Good times 👌
That's why I still play PS2 to this day
Proof that you don’t need expensive (next gen) devices to get an amazing time. An old 📺, old console, old games = same experience (if not even better) as we used to 😊
Couldn’t agree more!🙏
@@Artificial_Intelligence_AI PS2 has a lot of great games to play.
agreed, I still playing PSX, PS2, and NDS games..but sadly for PSX and PS2 I playing on my PS3 which is emulator..I really wanna bough PSX and PS2 for real experience
before i got my pc i enjoyed my old consoles more. i feel games are only fun if you rarely play
These days you literally can get a CRT + PS2 + a game for the price of a newly released game and I think thats awesome
The next 10 years kids and teenagers probably want to know and curious how it feels to insert the disc (or something similiar like that) inside the machine.
you make candy bars seem like one of the finer things in life, nice video man.
😂🙏 thanks, man! Hope to see you around
this is 100% true to my childhood experience because you even put the disc in the wrong case
😂 the young me out and the present me was fooled without even knowing at first
I used to do that too and complain why I couldn’t find them 💀
I love seeing people playing classic video games . Earned a sub .
Thanks, man 🙏
Appreciate it!
this just became one of my favorite chill videos! perfect vibe man
Thanks a lot 🙏🙏
I still play my good ol' PS2, Wii, Xbox etc, the games are just great chill times
Exactly! They relax me!
It's simple and nostalgic. Better than waiting for 5 minutes for a load screen or 15 for an update. The old systems will always be the best imo.
Anyone who has memories of these games from back in the day is genuinely blessed.
Indeed! What a time it was in many ways 🙏
That was the console my older brother bought me for my birthday, with Gran Turismo 4 and BLACK fps. It was so huge change from PS2 Fat to Slim. Someday i will add space to hook up old consoles with some bigahh CRT TV. Cool vid bro 🫡
Ahhh, the PS + games combo, it will never get old!!😄
Thanks, new one coming this weekend 🥷🕹️
Why are videos like this or anything based around this era so comfy.
I think nostalgia plays a relevant role in that! That’s also why I make the videos: it brings great memories and its feelings again
Playing Silent Hill 2, on a 19' tube TV, in the dark, with a space heater next to me is my favorite gaming memory of all. Better than LttP on my parent's console TV, better than Quake LAN parties, better than Smackdown vs. RAW online... it was magical.
Damn, that’s a cozy memory, man!🤌
And smackdown vs Raw!!! The memories that came now 😅 I used to play it with my brother so much!
Whats lttp
Your story reminded me of a time I had a sleepover at a buddy's house and we stayed up ALL NIGHT playing Resident Evil: Code Veronica on PS2 on his little CRT. The game was still fairly new at the time and he found a used copy at GameStop and we were obsessed with the story and trying to figure out the puzzles. We played in the dark and though we tried hard to keep quiet there were a few OH SHIT moments that almost had us shitting in our pajamas. I miss those times.
@scorpionwins6378 such a great typical story of when we were kids! I live for these stories, thanks for sharing 🙏
@@EzeAsuoha "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past," my dood! :DDD
Even the fact that the disc was wrong is nostalgic haha. Thank you for sharing your chill time being spent just like so many of us did all those years ago.
Ahaha it was a classic mistake, right!
Just subbed to you dude! Your explanation towards the end for playing the old systems, nostalgia, cozy really connected with me.
I love the older systems the best. Great times and great memories.
Great times and great memories, for sure! Thank you for your words, I’ll make more asap 🙏💪
New video is up 🙏😊
Ah pretty nice spirit doing what we love, sharing time with or own selves doing what we love, amazing feeling, long live ps2 era
10000% agreed!
Now that sir..was a rush of nostalgia. Love this humble little setup and the perspective. Careful with how you've got that PS2 placed though, can make it overheat sitting on a bed like that for too long.
😄💪💪 loooove it that I was able to create that nostalgia in you!! Thank you for it, and I’ll try to put it on the floor next time 🙏
@@Justafonso put it somewhere that won't block the air vents and build up heat. Your shelf is fine :P it's the same principal as putting a laptop on a bed or on blankets you'll fry it over time
New video is up! Hope you enjoyed it too
simply magnificent.
i remember getting this for an early xmas gift in 2001, what a great time and playing online was such a treat back then
Maaaaan, Xmas gifts related to consoles were always the best feelings! Many good memories I have!
It was very heart warming watching this, it reminded me good (past) times. Thankyou.
One of the big reasons why I do it, so we can go back to those simpler times 🎮! I’ll keep them coming
back in the day i had a xbox og and a ps2 slim and i remember the ps2 always had straight bangers xbox couldn't compete with. good times with good games on ps2.
I remember talking to my friends and feeling I was on the right side of things for having a playstation, and not an Xbox. At the time, my parents wouldn't have the money for me to have both, so I was very proud of my decision ehehe
I am more impressed how comfortably you are laying down in that position while playing :D. I have tried playing in that type of position and its a nightmare for me especially with getting serious pains in the neck, but hey it could be just me :D looks comfy doing from the side.
😂 the struggle is real for me too, you’re not alone. But for me it’s more on the jaw level that starts hurting after 20mins or so. I move up and down the pillows and bed to try to readjust it, and, in fact, I end up stop playing when I’m already too tired of the tension ahaha
@@Justafonso i know the feeling too good😂i am currently using a samsung tv which is on the wall way above head level so laying down and playing can be a pain so i switched my ps3 to my monitor and left a ps2 for the lcd tv😂 so when i get tired of tension so i call it a day.
@@mitkoprakov1296 ahaha the gymnastic is real to be able to play for some good, fulfilling mins 😅💪
@@Justafonso ye😂well getting older aint make it easy😂didnt manage to do in my young years as i never got a ps only pc so doing those weird stuff in late age😂
@@mitkoprakov1296 😂 as long as it contributes to good emotions and moments, that’s all it counts, no matter if done at 10 or 30 or 40 ehehe
Please do not put a ps2 on a soft surface like a bad.. it is not good for the laser mechanics and the disc in it.. and the fan could be harmed too
Bed*
What are you? The PS2 police?, shut up dude.
@@0292-q3ldamn dude all they did was just a statement that it may be bad and shorten his time je can use the system for..
@@0292-q3lthe depression the PS2 makes into the bed could block the vents and make the system overheat. Be my guest and wrap your PS2 in a blanket while you play lol
@@0292-q3l It's good advice. The bed will allow the disc to bounce, scratching the lens. Then you get the dreaded Disc Read Error on your PS2 and it's ruined.
This brings me a lot of nostalgia!
When I was a kid I wasn't allowed to have a TV with cable, but I didn't mind because I had my PS2 with a bunch of pirated games. I used to play a lot of GTA SA, Need for Speed MW, War Thunder and Monster Jam with my brothers, we used to rest in my bed in front of the TV and having "boys nights" full of gaming and junk food.
Classic PlayStation kinda night plans!! I had those during the early 2000s, and I’ll never forget those moments at my friends houses thinking we were on top of the freedom world, just playing and talking shit topics, after school
TH Underground was one of my favorites. Nice content man.
Thanks! I’ll keep them coming 🎮🙏
I remember back when me and the boys would go out street skating all day in the weekends and go back to the house and we would all chill and play these games! Man good times, wish I could go back
I was a pseudo roller skater tbh ahaha
Something about it! I loved it - until almost breaking my elbow and start putting it aside 😄
Tony hawk pro skater 2 was my favorite! Such a memorable soundtrack that induces nostalgia every time I hear one of the songs!
Tony hawks games soundtracks was so so nice, very revolutionary at the time!
I'm so disappointed that I missed the PS2 era. Playing with wired controller on a tiny crt tv is such a vibe...
Not tiny in my case...it was huge Sony 32 inches, 65 kgs Wega TV.
I also had a big one, my parents one, of course. I think it was a Sony or a Grundig eheh
It's also a mood if you don't have a TV remote.
@@WARLORD626 all part of the fun struggle we used to feel, it’s part of the nostalgia. No problem with todays tech, it’s amazing in many ways. But the early days, because we lived them, because we created memories during them, they become fun even with the basics that were available at the time.
Unlucky for you. These were some of the best times to play video games.
Playing through some old games myself at the moment. Heck yeah, this rules.
Such a great ride to memory lane, isn’t it?😄🎮
No matter the stage i always hear 96 Quite Bitter Beings being played. Nice cozy video man
Thanks, man! 💪 more coming soon
Only half way through the video but i thought I'd comment about the wrong game being played from what the box suggested - i think this must've been part of the whole retro lure as most of my games were in the wrong box from putting what ever game I played last I played into the box of whatever game I was about to play next. I really like the retro bedroom setup you've got there, really takes me back to my own childhood!
😅 such embarrassing mistake, but ended up being a huge classic from back in the days, definitely.
Thank you, and I’m glad you enjoyed it 🙏
bro i am glad you did an off-screen gameplay video of this, very bold but in this era i think should be more accepted. awesome stuff
The off-screen seems more real to me, like we used to do by ourselves and with friends, I think it transport us more to those times. Showing just the screen is more boring when I see it here on YT
@@Justafonso i plan on doing some sort of "off screen" gameplay with my games. Yes we should start recording games off screen. It's more personal than that professional crap we have these days
@ZAKU-GD agree and go for it!🎮
Underground is one of my favorite games from my childhood! I played it on the GameCube and have a lot of great memories playing it and forming a skate group with my friends.
Playing with friends in the early days it’s unforgettable 🤌🤌
The nostalgia is beautiful
Nostalgia is a beautiful thing, indeed 🙏💪
I know I'm getting old when these memories we all had are over 20+ years old now lol. It felt like yesterday I was playing Tony Hawk while my older brothers were telling me to get off 😂.
😂 good I was the older brother and could monopolize the console time ahaha
The platoon of armymen upon your tv... what a G
awesome stuff brother
I played with them for soooo many hours when I was a kid! One of my cousins had a bunch of them, even used to burn some of them during his pretend wars 😂
TH3 is my favorite one. But remember how back in the day, having a tv that size in someone's bedroom was real common? I seriously miss these times so much. If I could time travel, I think I'd go back to like 1985-2012 time frame and relive everything at an adult age
I used to play on my parents living room, they had a bigger one ahah
Only later in my days, when I was already a teenager, I had one in my room
That’s so peaceful bro, it feels like at home 🏠 I loved pro skater 4 on my ps2, the soundtrack was the best!
I remember everyone speaking about the soundtracks on Tony hawk games almost as if it was as good and essential as the game itself 😄
And it was, indeed, a great motivational to try to do those impossible moves and keep on playing ahah
Tener la consola en tu propio cuarto y jugar acostado si es vida me trae nostalgia yo hacia lo mismo pero mas cerca saludos buen video 👍
It’s a classic 90s, isn’t it? That’s why I created the room in this way, to make it look like the younger days 😄
This was literally me when the game released in 2001. A 13 year old who was already obsessed with Tony Hawk. Then this game came out and took over my life.
The good old times 😄🙏
It doesn't get much better than playing some PS2 on a TV like this, even as an adult. It's just cozy.
It’s exactly that: cozy!
Loved watching this. Such a chill video. More please.
Thanks, man 🙏
There will be more like this, for sure!
Oh and star fox...i started collecting star fox games for ds hella. I loved getting into star fox games hella. Some of the new games i started getting for the advance 2as donkypey kong diddy kong and some cool firstmperson shooters.
nostalgia hits me like a brick wall harder and harder every second i watch this video
Eheh in a good way, I hope
This was a great video man
Sick setup
Thanks man! More coming soon 🙏💪
you have an exceptional talent for making the complex understandable!
Appreciate those words 🙏
I had a small silver TV just like this for my PS2 back in the day, covered in stickers and all!
It’s a classic, isn’t it 😄
They'll never know bro, trust me, they had to be there right? Lol.... Good times, keep shining bro, good vibes, good video, classic sht..🔥🔥🔥🍻
Ahah thanks!🙏💪
ki love this! such a vibe. i remember playng xbox 360 on a similar extremely small shitty tv... playing rpgs withg a lot of text was a pain lol, you could barely read it
Ahaha maaaan, reading text was the worst!!
This is the life, man! I gotta ditch my Smartphone and start living offline.
😄 thanks, man
Those were good times . There was company called Ea games . And there cds were clear and orange. I bought one and it was just called Snowboarding. Simple as hell , but the game was super relaxing , beautifully made snow mountain landscapes. Gameplay controls wasnt bad , and the soundtrack is super late 90s - early 2000s vibe . My best 9th birthday gift and Crash 2
I remember the SIMS also had a very strong orange disc eheh. Great nostalgia!
Só agora é que reparei que és português, que nostalgia jogar nessas televisões ainda por cima tinha um móvel do IKEA igualzinho a esse e ficava a jogar ps2 ou ps3 com a tv no mesmo setup, abraço bro
🇵🇹 eram bons tempos, sim, senhor! Daí ainda guardar um espaço para isto, para me ir alimentando dessas memórias boas.
Feliz Natal e bom ano, man 🙏💪
That is a great video. I loved how cozy it was. I run my own channel on Retro Video Games and I totally need to take lessons on how to present playing games on a CRT. That is some good story telling. One suggestion is that you might want to get an external microphone like a lapel microphone and use it when talking to the camera. It was little hard to hear what you said.
Thank you for your compliments 🙏💪
I’ll do that when possible, for sure, thanks for the feedback on sound.
@@Justafonso oh I say that from my own experience making RUclips videos. But I really like your visual storytelling and it was super chill.
Love the vibes of this video, these says i'm playing a bunch of ps1 games on my ps2, trying to buy Shadow of the colossus to play next week
Thanks man 💪
I do the same thing, now that I picked up a "fat boy" ps2 off of ebay the guy was nice I talked too. Came with 2 conteollers and a fancy looking networl adapter. Now I can pop in all of those sweet Marvel games like currently right now I'm Playing X-men legends. A child hood game my mom took me out to the garden state mall to get that one I had incredible hulk back in the day this is when we still lived in Hackensack New Jersey take me back now !
How old were you in 2003 when T.H.U.G. First came out on PS2?
I’m from America, New York. Here, this game was released as, “Tony Hawk UnderGround” in 2003.
I was 8 years old.
Watching my then 16 year old brother play this game obsessively because this was the only game we owned. We were blockbuster renters & the few games we did own, would end up completely scratched up.
In the beginning, my older brother would only set the hip hop music to play. Then progressively he started exploring the Alternative and Rock music more. He said he found a lot of good songs from these games.
Haha, so many memories.
My best friend and I would stop skateboarding, and run all over the place. Our favorite level was Manhattan, where we got to go inside an elevator and get to the top building floor… where we would jump out a glass window down to the streets below. We’d take turns doing this. Lol.
I even remember weekend mornings when I had to go down to NYC with my parents. I’d pop in the game and play a little bit before we had to leave to visit relatives.
My older brother recently had his first son. I told my sister in law that we’re going to be making him play THUG.
Man, I still have my PS2, but its modded now so I can download and play any PS2 game i’d like.
I don’t own THUG anymore. I might load it up on my PS2 and play it a bit thanks to this video.
Maaaan, those are amazing memories that made me laugh!! Taking turns to jump off of a window in a game and have a blast doing so, what’s more good old days tech than that?😂💪💪
Ah, also, answering your question: I was 9-10 years old when the game came out, but I don’t remember anymore around what time I got the game and started playing, tbh.
I loved that green gameboy color I think my mom got me the purple one in 2000 man I feel old
I had the purple one!!! This green one has been around my place for decades, but I’m not sure if it was from one of my cousins or given away at some point, but I even have a Christmas photo opening the purple gameboy ahah
My buddy had that tv back in the day!.
We would play Mighty morphin power rangers on SNES.
Badass game.
That’s a great memory 💪😄
I remember watching Power Rangers on TV every weekend, I loved it!
I dont play tony hawk on the PS2 but i played in the N64, same vibes, best times of my life
One of the best games across platforms!
I always preferred SSX Tricky personally. Great soundtrack and so much fun linking all the combos together.
I think I played that, but almost sure it wasn’t for PS2… maybe PC, is it possible? I checked online and remember some of those images
@@Justafonsoto be honest I can't remember it's been so long. Was definitely on console might have been ps1.
I thought my 27 inch TV was HUGE at the time in my first appartment. I loved this game!
Ahah it’s not small at all 27 inch! I’m actually in the process of buying a way bigger crt tv, it’s gonna be fun!
@daroniousmaximus we are, indeed, spoiled with some of the technology we have nowadays. And I think that advancement it’s what allows us to look back and see value in old consoles and crts, in a way.
This is one of the greatest videos ever.
And it happened to be one of the most organic I did
Man the nostalgia from this video is unreal!
Right? That’s why I love to go back to relive them here and there
Good depiction of my life from 2005-2015
Eheh of a lot of people’s lives 🎮
2:52 We've all done that leg lift when we just missed a spot haha
😂😂 a classic! As long as it didn’t evolve to throwing the controllers i was good!
I remember once throwing a controller! It hit a painting thing I had in the room and one of the walls got splashed with paint….i thought I my mum was gonna kill me ahaha
One of my younger cousins still has my old ps2 from 2006, but the problem is that the joysticks no longer work. So someday or anytime I will move heaven and earth to buy them (also some games) to teach them and re-experience the best afternoons of the 2000s.
Go for it!! I’m sure you’ll all have some good moments and make some good memories
I used to play a pokemon for themgameboy color i forget what specific kind it was. Always walkin around having pikachu follow me and riding the bike with picachu follow me. It was my brothers gameboy color and gam3s. I had the gameboy advance
Pokémon was mandatory, I also used to play two of them, never finish them, but had so much fun
these days we have phones almost as big as that TV crazy how technology has evolved
😅 almost!
Lion bars are the best! And so is NFS: Underground 🙌
Top3, for sure, but don’t know if the best, for me ahah
No idea why this popped up on my dailies, but I’m glad it did. Simple times, a great console and game. ❤
Glad you enjoy it!
A thing of beauty
Thanks, man 🙏💪
This is possibly the greatest video I’ve ever seen. But, that not Tony Hawk 3 that’s Underground.
😄🙏 many thanks, man! I'll have to do more videos like this one soon
I was waiting for someone to say this lol.
Dope video dude, really miss the Tony hawk games
Just shared a new one. This time: Tekken 3 😄
Love how all us 90s kids are having a collective midlife crisis together & reliving our childhoods 😂 I'm currently in the process of re-buying all the old game consoles & games I played myself as a kid lol nice to see others are on the same wave
😂 wouldn’t call it a crisis, it’s just the creation of a environment that brings us good memories and good moments!
@@Justafonso I dno kinda feels like a midlife crisis to me like we aren't we happy with what we have now? I'd say things have changed too much so we resort back to the times we last felt like life was secure but I'm all here for it haha
@MR.SKANDAL0121 very very true that past sentence! Agree with it 100%
Very nostalgic and cozy
What camera shoots TV so well?
Greetings from Russia
Thanks for the comment, man!🙏

the eye-to-screen distance is crazy
Top level!
ok this channel is a good vibe
Thanks, man! Hope I can keep on delivering good vibes
Aw... I used to have that same exact tv.... nostalgia.
🙏 this one was offered by an old neighbor lady some time ago ehehe
i even enjoy changing cds , inserting the memory card , touching the start buttom now its all digital and bluetooth
It’s such a nostalgic moment, isn’t it? Sooo many times we used to do that, and was so special to do so in the 90s where it almost seem science fiction ahah
You're playing Tony Hawks Underground not THPS3 lol
I know!!!🫣😂 I just realized that some mins ago and commented just that here on comments
nostalgia slapped my in the face and now im crying...

i remember using a gameshark cd and a special black L shape bracket to trick this slim into thinking the disc cover is closed and hot swapping a burned game into the console replacing the gameshark cd. i am old but if memory serves i think the gameshark use to bypass some sort of boot disc check right b4 the ps2 logo splash appears and then the burned game loaded.
That was high tech moves for the time, I bet ahaha 🙏💪
