This is the video where i found out about alan watts years ago
Can't never get tired of listening to this story.....one of the best lessons of the universe
absolute facts!
Maybe
The last part that Alan talks about is key. Maybe.
Its not an Alan Watts story, its an ancient Chinese 'fable'
but everyone always misunderstands it
Its not that sometimes what appears to be a bad event is good in the long run, or verse visa
The underlying Buddhist principle is that there is no good, and there is no bad
The universe is not fair or unfair
the universe is arbitrary
the quality of your life depends on what you make of it, how you deal with all of it, no matter what happens
Alan says in his books and other lectures that good and bad are the two sides of a coin
but the coin is neither good or bad, its one thing - and its neutral as a whole
Wonderfully spoken . I agree deeply .
This is the secret to Life.
This got me in tears. I get sad at the fact that I dont have kids. I have created the conditions to have them, but dont seem to find the right person. But maybe, maybe it is for the best.
Feel your pain 🙏 That's a great attitude though.
@@joshsvoss thank you
Life remains a mystery, and no one can predict its course. We must acknowledge the unpredictability of fate and avoid becoming too complacent in our triumphs or too despondent in our hardships. Some aspects of life elude our influence. To truly flourish in life, we must shift our perspective and cease allowing external events to dictate our identity.
@sabashukvani Yes, accept the mystery.
Will never get old, for me, this is the way. 🙌🏼💜
Always grateful to hear this message. Thank you for this channel.
🙏
Absolutely love this story 🙏
Gotta come back to this from time to time. Excellent point of view to have on life
I just love this. Completely changed my perspective in a positive way. I listen everytime I'm feeling discouraged or lost.

My favorite parable.
"What was the horse's name?"
"Midnight."
Maybe...

It’s Top 5 favorite words! Maybe.

You never know the consequences of good or bad fortune!
Maybe.
Thanks Alan. 22 August 2023.💖😇⛳🎯🍒🌟🎖🚀

Bluey brought me here
This is it.
wow. this hit me hard
What full lecture is this excerpt from?
I very much enjoy these, but where did the rest of them go? This playlist used to be pretty extensive
They'll all be back soon plus more. No worries
NO MAYBES, NOW IS JUST THAT, ITS NOW.
Maybe is the best response to a result that is not known. Maybe.
This goes with Daoism and Wu Wei. Doing nothing puts things into place.
Not forcing* puts things in their place ! 😅👍
Stoicism brought me here hahahaha
