This was one of my favorite LoveBuster episodes! Wonderfully done! This is me and my husband ❤ I am disabled and in a wheelchair, and he carries me in his arms and puts me down on the seat for dates at restaurants, carries me on piggyback, and on his shoulders, and dances with me in his arms. I only use the wheelchair when not with him for appointments and for long walks, and he pushes me. I can't push myself much. I got hurt by a chiropractor 13 years ago and was diagnosed 4 years later after nonstop specialist appointments. The doctor got away with it due to the statute of limitations, and nobody knows where he is, as he closed down his business. I was diagnosed with what is called the worst pain on the national pain scale-stage 3 mirrored CRPS. It’s full body and nonstop stabbing, shooting, burning, shocking, and crushing pain, and I am bedridden. I also have severe pain in my teeth and mouth from trigeminal neuralgia and need root canals on top of it. I have eye issues with sight and severe pain with migraine pain going into my eyes almost at all times, and also erythromelalgia, spinal stenosis, arthritis, and bulging discs. I'm lucky if I sleep 15 minutes every day due to pain. Over the past three weeks, I’ve slept only 3 hours total due to pain from going to Airbnb to Airbnb as our lease was up. We’re trying to get to California to be closer to medical care, and now my care dog needs surgery, too. We don’t have funds, a car, and my husband is doing all he can to provide for us-working and trying to find a new job-while I get little SSI. My husband and I run a ministry, and God has used the bad for good to help others. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). All glory to God! We trust Him and know God will make a way! “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6). I couldn’t do this without Christ and how He has led me every step of the way with building the online ministry, mentoring, praying for others, planning events for outreach, worship team practice, and more. My husband leads men’s groups, mentors, Bible studies, and prayer. He is an ordained pastor and has gone to school, but we don’t take pay for ministry. Because of this, he has to work, and we are in a very rough time-living paycheck to paycheck and selling all we have with nowhere to go from the 23rd of December onward. Our story reminds me of Job's. Job lost everything-his health, wealth, and even his children-yet he never stopped trusting God. In the middle of his suffering, Job declared, “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord” (Job 1:21). Despite his trials, God restored Job’s life, giving him twice as much as he had before: “The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part” (Job 42:12). We believe the same for our lives-that God, in His perfect timing, will restore what we’ve lost and provide more than we could imagine. “After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you” (1 Peter 5:10). Though we face suffering, we have everything we truly need in Jesus, each other, our sweet 12-year-old Maltese, and the ministry God has entrusted to us. Our trials may be many, but like Job, we trust that God is working behind the scenes for our good and His glory. We hold tightly to His promises and know His plans for us are good. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
