- On December 14th, 2013, first time at the Willow Springs track for the Pescarolo 01 (chassis n°1) LMP1 and its driver Christophe Carel. Despite cold track and cold hard tires, we achieved to pull 1:22.274.

Was just at Willow last weekend, a 991.2 cup car did a 1:20
I think that car should do 1 :12 on big willow.
It %100 should. Many areas i can see he could improve through
@@lancehunt2699 Sport 2000's are running in the 24's there, I was thinking he should be in 12's as well.
Back in 1987 I was racing motorcycles there and the 750's were running in the low 30's to about 1:27 or so. I saw a 250 2-stroke Super Cart set record at 1:12 and Michael Andretti held the all time record of 1:06 in an Indy car so 1:22 does seem kind of slow even 9 years ago. I have no idea what the current records are.
Yeah I’m confused it’s a lmp1 car, it should run so much faster!
They where pretty much the finest prototypes available in their time.
BTW was with owner of Fast Toys driving.
Was in 2014/15 but I still remember it clearly... changed my whole understanding of what fast really means.
Was that an out lap????
That looks like youre barely pushing it
Definitely tentative on the gas. Waaay past the apex in every corner
😍
That was your warm up lap time right? My buddy In a 2016 Superlate with 10" bias Bly tires and 450 rwhp built by Bryans Racing did 2 back to back 1:19.001 and 1:19.002 at 74 yrs young...I do 22's and 23's all day long! You need to humble yourself if you think that is a good time for a all aero car that puts down 2000 lbs of down force....sheeesh!
LMP1? I do a 1:24 in my cup car.
that is not a quick time.... at all....
eae up a touch
I pulled a 1.24.5 in a formula pacific, still working to 1.22
post the video!
Thanks for almost no information or views of the vehicle thumbs down ...but for VERY little effort on your part I might have even subscribed
That’s around FF times from the eighties. Something is not right. Sure you didn’t mean 1.12 or something. I did a 1.14 in a Super Vee in 1987……
I rode in this car on a track day there.
Exhilarating but absolutely terrifying!!!
It wasn't that car, but his little sister Pescarolo 02. Not as fast or powerful, but still full of excitement!
That's not an LMP1 car...
Ron Hurst that’s a Pescarolo 01 equipped with a Judd V10. Proper LMP1 car. Look it up.
Ok...It just must have been the lap times that threw me. I thought they were faster than a 1:22 as a Formula Continental is faster than that, as well as a C & D Sports racer.
Ron Hurst absolutely the car can do much better than that. Car was driven by an amateur driver and first time at Willow too. Car should go around 1:15 for sure...
Lol , this is not an
LMP1 … this is a “Pescarolo-school 02 prototype” powered by a 6.2L corvette engine detuned. The highest engine settings is 360 hp and the car is about 6 sec slower than
An LMP2 , even an LMPC is faster … top speed of the Pescarolo school-prototype is about 135mph. On the top of that .. and I hate to say this but that driver is slow …brake to early , misses apex , V-mini are really really slow … its a nice and safe car to learn and
Get a taste of what is a Le Mans prototype but why posting with such a title … 🤦🏻♂️
This is a LMP1 indeed. I also own the Pescarolo 02 school prototype. 2 very different cars. This one has a Judd V10 inside. 2 very different engine sounds. Look at my other videos of the Pescarolo 02. And the Pescarolo 02 is tuned to 420hp, at least for my car. And yes I was very slow that day with the LMP1 at the track. Few excuses for that: it was super cold and couldn’t put heat in the tires, it was my first time at this track and I’m not a pro driver.
I think that car should do 1 :12 on big willow.
