How to climb as a Support:
Play Pyke, the "support"
You did not understood the video. Close the video and go play Pyke randomly, come after and we talk.
(before u get mad this comment is ironically a joke)
@@Alienfollistatin your job as pyke during late game is to try and pick off squishy champions when you're ahead or hang back and execute enemies during teamfights when you're behind. Well, that's what I try to do at least.
You can also try to build a ga, dd, or maw to have some degree of survivability. It won't work if the enemy carries are super fed tho.
Brand support in low elo >>>>>>
@@mooo9987 This shit is so boring at low level
works until plat, after that pyke is complete f'ing garbage
"You decide when the teamfights happen"
well let me introduce you to my lovely ADCs who flash into 5 enemies while I'm at fountain...
gotta love low elo...
And then they hit you with the OMG SUPPORT GAP in chat
samira mains be like
XD haha
Everytime when i'm goning B ..i say in chat do not engage them stay safe BRB
sometimes they do stupid things but sometimes they listen to me :D
"This makes your stun guaranteed because they can't move"
Never someone put so much undeserved trust in me
I dunno man, the amount of missed cc I see on stunned enemies is....
Disturbing
Define can't move plz
Your sentence thought is incomplete. ✌
Finally someone who actually understands low elo a knows what that experience is. No hate to high elo players but "common knowledge" comes with experience that you in low elo don't have.
True, in bronze even if you have mvp you can still lose
I was there I know that i played in high mmr in dota and in the low scum mmr. People rage at both difference is people know mechanics and objectives to win
This is a high quality vid
Thank you!
This is the best clim video I have ever seen keep it up!
With an 8-bit mic…
I never judge mic quality, thems expensive
"Finally, I can learn how to climb with Nami!"
*"DO NOT PICK ENCHANTERS!" While showing Nami Footage*
Oh...
Theres hope....
@@pedrindopneu7337 well he's wrong anyways there's nothing wrong with playing enchanters you just have to understand enchanters compared to engage supports have less skill required so less potential but with enchanter's potentials u can reach challenger all the same, it just takes less games to climb up.
@@imneverwrong5600 I know, enchanter
@@pedrindopneu7337 well i dont agree with the last part lol, when i get eloboosted adcs it's almost impossible to win lane.
@@pedrindopneu7337 the thing about enchanters for me is that you pick them when you have a hyper carry in the team. I mainly pick enchanters on adc's like kaisa, twitch, or vayne cause you want them as safe as possible while they are wrecking havoc. Otherwise you pick the one who engages. One thing I learned from the two types of supports is you have a much higher chance of carrying a game when you are on the losing end when you are the one engaging. For an enchanter type your best option is to pick someone who you think has the IQ or the chance of carrying the game then protect him with all your life.
You're so right. Sometimes all those other 'climbing' videos don't do the trick because its like they've never experienced 'Elo Hell' and the whole MMR really realizes that Elo hell is a thing because if I win a game and then lose a game I didn't go anywhere but they would have to lose like 3 times to equal my one loss. This was the best climbing video I ever watched.
"what to pick against morgana? Syke i never play against morgana she is perma banned"
I see you are a man of culture that perma bans morgana
In b4 lulu
I permaban Janna because her passive messes up my Nami Bubbles and Thresh hooks so much. At least Morg has like a 20 sec CD on her black shield
Morg DOES counter pretty much all engage supports
All my homies hate Morgana
Idk why ppl hate morgana so much, she is so easy to fight cus all the morgana's, especially the morg mains suck
I've played 500 ranked games this season. Still stuck in G4. Started at S2, peaked at G3.
I consistently get vision scores of 80-130 a game, my champ pool includes Alistar, Nautilus and Galio, and I actively roam and gank other lanes, even assisting junglers with scuttle contests.
My experience:
- Mid and top almost never follow up on roams and in fact get tilted and spam-ping you for ganking as support.
- ADCs tilt when you ping you're roaming to vision for objectives, and then they die 1v2 shoving bot lane
- You take great engages, make great plays, and the team does nothing (e.g. W->Q as Alistar when Yas has ult, knock up an entire team, and Yas doesn't press R)
This man is speaking straight facts. We all collectively suffer as support players.
Maybe it's time to learn a carry role MONKAS. Support players want their asses carried
@@zephyrix595tell me you don't understand the game without telling me you don't understand the game
@@zephyrix595 No shit, we're useless if our team is useless. That's we resort to damage dealing supports like Vel, Xerath, Pyke, ect. But even then it's usually not enough cause you just don't get the needed amount of gold to buy expensive items to actually deal that damage. And bro. Don't act like you never needed a carry as a "carry role" laner. Honestly. Any role can carry, but not with teammates with your perspective of the game.
Yes enchanters start mattering in Plat.
That's where the skill as well as ego of players go so high up they demand enchanters to be constantly shielded.
As for ego i'd say its true, as for skill well, it doesnt get better even in masters these days thanks to season 9. If i would have to climb from scratch again i wouldnt touch enchanters up to d2 or so, it's basically worst kind of gambling, even if you play around winstreaks.
Omg I needed this for years I can never let go of support to climb as a mid or any other roles, nothing beats the satisfaction of support plays
I actually love this. Someone that is not already challenger teaching you things. I feel like I can walk side by side with him in the struggle
this was by far the best video I ever watched directed towards support mains, loved your channel dude
Why is this man soooo underrated, he just taught us how to climb as a support when he isn't even plat, (atleast when he posted this vid, I'm sure he is plat rn tho). And his videos are clean, he has a good microphone and well-edited. Keep it up bro !
You're so nice! Thank you so much for the kind comment.
@@eli21302 Just one thing that can help you even more and perhaps reach diamond in the future - never play past 2 loses, wait 12h instead after such thing occurs to you. That's due to how rito's behavioural matchmaking works (40-40-20 rule in practice) - winstreaks losestreaks and stuff. Longer explaination would advise takin note of days when you win, but i bet 90% of players there aren't really going to do that so just follow the tl;dr advice to not play past 2 loses in a row. Thank me later.
Hes silver 2 now not hating just take it with a grain of sal
Not related to support, but best tip for adcs I found through experimentation is to play with attack move on cursor and bind your attack move to your X button instead of the default A. Makes kiting and CSing a lot easier.
it’s personal preference, using x would not work with me
This is actually great, all high elo players give tips that only function on their divisions.
I'm maining Jg these days and all the guides talk about tracking and lane priorities that actually never happen in silver because the players have a random move generator that makes then impossible to predict
Grandmaster player: Taking in count the time and enemy champ, he must be in the drake because he has botlane priority
The actual player: *dives toplane and dies
Legit better than all the other climbing videos
Great video! The MAJOR thing i took from this which i never really noticed or took into consideration was the stun duration bar shown on their health bars! This really does extend CC combos even FURTHER! great stuff bro!
Man I've been playing league for years and never once noticed the stun time bar. I've made it to gold a couple times too. Great video, I might try my hand supports now
This is actually a good guide to get elo with any other role, i mean it has a lot of stuff that make you think more intelligent, if you loose the lane you actually may become like a support, this so great for climbing, nice content
I just wanna take a moment to appreciate how this was actually a video that helped instead asking me to buy skill capped or challenger guides or whatever else man. Good on you
For whatever reason, i've found my favorite controls are abilities on ASDF, flash on R, Ignite on E, ward on trinket on 4, wards on 1, active items on 2 and 3, and attack on move binded to W.
Can you explain me attack on move?
I dont understand
@@TheRizzler525 Attack on move, or whatever it is called, basically let's you click somewhere and attack the closest target to that click. It will also move your character to the range where you can auto attack
@@immagoingbacktobed1742 tnx
Subbed. I feel like a lot of these tips are applicable for other roles as well.
Great quality info for this reality, really honest help sure is a plus. Thanks, actually not a supp but like the role, and sure used most of the same ideas to climb, and can confirm the good tips here!
This is legit the best helpful video i have seen for support. Most videos are like you said, "ward more, and roam... then magic your diamond." Again super helpful information. I liked and sub'd. :D
This vid needs more views. Very practical and short, unlike many other "high elo" vids who just repeat the same stuff over and over
All I can say is just play kill supports and become a threat comparable to a solo laner.
Well not anywhere near a solo laner but yea you can be kill threat
@@ztebladezteblade3717 bruh swain can literally 1v3 with a few items as a support
Finally something new, actually useful too.
Not only repeating classic guides and tips, just in different order.
Thanks for video.
This video was absolutely incredible!
Loved the style and humor, wish you made for stuff.
Hope your games have been going well!
this video has helped so much, thx man!!
i am still trying to apply it in games but i have been improving a lot
Supp main here, I was not looking for a - how to climb - video, but now I want to climb! I managed to get to Gold 1 without watching any Vids but you just encouraged me to get even higher! Props for your honest guide! Keep it up!
Your voice is soothing. You're funny as hell. And you're a great teacher. I am not a support main per sè but watching this video and seeing how a support should play really made me understand my support teammates better (who are always so stupid btw) and also what to expect from my opponents. Best video out there. Possibly best channel! Thank you, laddie. - Cravain
Bottom lane roles are just suffering
Why would you bet your LP on another human being of questionable IQ sharing a lane with you instead of just carrying as any other lane
Cuz I suck and won't be able to carry
@@sasayoygaming8910 Then you'd be much more of a drain in botlane, because if you feed there, you just lost 2 players and fed 2 enemies.
@Søk _What part of _*_"betting your LP on another human being of questionable IQ sharing a lane with you"_*_ did you choose to ignore?_
Also, comms is the next limiting factor. There is quite literally, no way, of communicating fast enough for you to tell them exactly what to do in order for them not to fuck it up, and even if you do, you're still banking on the fact that they'll be good and understanding to actually follow the instructions or even listen to you at all. (Especially on LoL's community that seems riddled with players who can't get enough of sucking their own cock to listen to others)
Even if you manage to pull through, and you're fed and the game is tipped in your favour, there's almost no way that your ADC will not overextend with the amount of cockiness they've gotten from the early game, or that your team will actually stop the K6 or Rengar from right-clicking you to protect the DPS in the first place.
Botlane is not even that strong nowadays, a fed botlane just means having to divert more resources in order to deal with them, which most teams are not willing to spend, so they just ignore the mess for 15-25 minutes, get melted down by a duo and then claim "bot OP"
The 2 main reasons for most junglers playing botside are the DG, and the fact that you're influencing the lane of 3 people as opposed to 2 in topside, and two of those can actually help you greatly instead of playing farming simulator. And reducing the chance for three players to ruin the game is much more than just reducing that chance for just two
Cause im verry bad at cs :-)
Because if you Play dmg support like me, it's basically 2 killsxd
this is one of the best videos i ever seen, extremely good and threating us like low elo players that pick up horrible teams, not a dumb guy that dont know how to ward a bush, this is what we deserved
Omg! I’ve watched tons of educational and coaching videos on RUclips. You’re the first to mention the white stun bar. I had no idea that existed. (Been playing since the end of 2016)
I hope you get to your sub goal, this video was very helpfull and couraging for me.
Keep up the great work and be safe man.
Perfection. Just perfection. I hope you are in your dream-rank already, this viseo helped a lot!
really great video man, super helpful. thank you
Best vid ive seen so far keep going strong!
I never played rank before but people in my groups say I am a very good Nami player and your stage two was a knife to my heart, I haven't played no other support except yummy, nami and tahm kench
really it was so informative and helpful. i subscribed your channel. hope get some more informative videos for low elo
right now im half way through the video and im surprised. i thought why would a gold player low elo guide video be interesting to me but holy moly man. your first 4 reasons are 100% accurate. really underrated video so far
The reason I made this guide was because I was astonished to see that at Gold 1 I was already in the top 13% of players. This made me really want to make something for the other 87% of players to watch and learn from.
Actually nice to hear how someone did it that has actually played in low elo. Enjoyed this video it was a breath of fresh air. And real.
Great video on how to ACTUALLY climb. All the tips were informative and on point, thank you.
Finally someone talking about igniting early!!! I play both supp and adc a lot too and I always tell my supps to ignite early it's so much more effective. Bless u
this is such high quality. i really enjoyed this
Tbh... One of the best video's about climbing as support. Good job man
yooo ty so much i'll start maining pyke because i always struggled to find a main.
Very solid remarks. Enjoyed the video a lot.
Good quality tips, man. Thanks!
With tip #9 be careful at level 1/2 since a single health pot can completely negate the damage from ignite
One point to add about cc chaining: if they have flash or other mobility, and assuming that would allow them to escape, you want to make sure that you overlap the cc ever so slightly to keep them from being able to use it. That said, if you would catch them anyways, obviously it may be better to give them time to waste their cooldowns.
I'm pretty sure if you hit a cc when another cc has something like .25 or .5 (not sure) it adds on and doesn't waste the cc
@@Crylikeamumu I think miiiight true for knock-ups with other knock-ups. I know for sure that some abilities won't stack. For example, the stun from Thresh's Q doesn't get extended from overlapping CC, and Alistar's W and Q don't stack that way.
Edit: or do you mean just if there's that little bit of cc left (sort of a grace window)? If so that's cool; I never knew that.
@@penz1297 yes. That's what I meant. İf there's a little time left on the cc clock it adds up since riot isn't aiming for players to make one frame links.
@@Crylikeamumu Well in that case, thanks for clearing that up; good to know! :)
@@penz1297 yeah np.
Underrated asf. Best climb vid of all time🙌🏻
Thank you very much when i first startet to play league of legends i played support but didnt knew how to climb so i stopped playing support and never came back to it. But now i actually think i can improve again as a support ty vm nice video make more of them PLS!
Awesome Video, keep it going! Love to see more :D
This vid needs more attention
Great video!
the hook at 11:46 holy and subbed btw. great video
I don't know why, but I feel like this is the video that helped me the most, really thank you so much, love your work bro
I am a new player and I watched other guides and I totally agree with you. These tips were great, thank you!
Thanks for all the tips mate, I'm hardstuck on Silver 2 since forever and have been watching those other vids you talk about. You really get to the core of "what" needs to be done. I'll give it a try. By the way, you talked about enchanters and engage supports, what about mages? (Zyra, Brand, Veigar, Lux, Swain(?), etc)
The only mage support I ever play is brand, and I only exclusively play him when my team picks all AD champions and doesn't need a tank. Mages are good for when you get the feeling that you are going to have to contribute damage for your team, like if most of your teammates get counterpicked or are in losing matchups.
This was so helpful, thank you!!
You are the person that does not lie about the teammates` abilities. Like it!
Had two of my best leona games thanks to these tips. thank you for the great video!
very easy for everyone to understand even if i'm currently p2 this video is pretty much all you need to go on climb good luck
"don't play enchantress" me as a lulu main: 😜
Me as OTP pyke but when they ban him a pick brand and thats very very funny champ. XD
Lol I one trick Pyke and when it’s banned I play Morgana 😂
Diffrence is that lulu can solo carry
Soraka main pain

i rejoined 3 months ago watched hundreds of videos and i really wish i found this day 1. answered so many questions i found out the hard way but still had lots of tips for me to improve on despite being a year old. thank you
This guide is very underrated. But I thought there was something missing, you forgot to talk about the "supports" magicians, such as Zyra, Brand, Zilean and even Lux itself, they are extremely strong characters in the low elo and you can go up to Diamond smoothly, the problem starts from Diamond II up, then it's harder to carry them
I'm making a follow up video soon where I'll be addressing everything that I missed and answering the most frequently asked questions.

I really don't like soloqueue or ranked games but I'm going to use this to be a better support. Thanks a ton man! Saving this video!
You're not missing out on much by not playing ranked! Do whatever makes you happy.
dudes correct ive been stuck for 2 years and havent been able to climb from gold but with the knowlege i gained over those painful agonizing 2 years ive been able to climb to plat and will hopefully reach diamond till the end of the season gj mate
Dude i watched this video while playing a ranked used the methods and imediently carried hard like wtf. Such a good guide rly thanks for it
Incredible video. Thanks
Nice vid bro👍🏼👍🏼
This is a good video, I'm in mid to high plat and i found it useful
eyo, really nice video, super high quality for the ammount of subs you have.
very good video man!
finally a good guide lol. whenever i tried to look up climbing videos they never even touched on supports or tell players not to play support to climb since you "cant carry" as support. my adc would have 5x as many deaths if i wasnt there to babysit lol.
This video is amazing, THANK YOU
Very informative not even support main thank you so much
Thank you for this, you really a life saver!
i slightly disagree about the whole enchanter argument. i got to gold this season just by spam playing soraka, i find a lot of players don't pay attention much to her ult and it can really screw 1v1 laning phase fights up haha. i love my engage supports, especially leona but it's so tilting when your teammates don't know when to commit to fights and hesitate :/ so imo i think if you're low elo you should just play whoever you have fun with while considering counter picks at the same time
you win a subscribe, dude that last tip helps me a LOT in heavy engage, thanks so much, also i'm otp pyke but i started to play much better tanks
Bro this right here is the fucking best guide I’ve ever seen, Thank you so much!!
Thanks! this is very helpful!
this is the video every hard-stuck bronze and silver players needed. Thank you for the video, so much more helpful than all the other guides challenger players provide. Keep up the good work. I'm a mid main, but i want to play support because i feel like with my pyke i can make gamechanges very quickly. I might become a support main lmao, thanks for the tips
Damn just LITERAL GOD i want a poster with you man. I want a pillow with your face on it. This is the accuracy beyond even aurelion sol's scale.
Its very helpful hearing this tips from someone, who understands this elo and doesnt destroy it
DUDE I HAD NEVER NOTICED THE WHITE BAR WHEN ENEMY IS STUNNED THANK YOU !
Thank you for the info. Very cool.
yup, this video is 100% accurate, I made a new account and i saw that in afternoon weekend is a coinflip, so I only play the Thursday or Wednesday in the afternoons.
Great vid my friend
shit dude. you've got me inspired to start playing ranked.
i've realised, because of this video, that my awful yet limited time playing ranked solo-que has been such a tragedy because I doomed myself from the start. Playing late at night, tilted from previous games, tired, angry etc. thanks for the wake up call.
Finally a quality video about climbing
Fun video, made me lol a lot, you got my sub, keep it up :D The Morgana bit killed me hahaha. Been diamond for 4 seasons(1x top, 1x adc, 2x supp), but haven't played the last 2 and my former ACC is permabanned, so I started in silver 4 or something :D Since I was diamond for the last few seasons I played and always started in at least upper gold I got reminded of how low elo hell looks like. I agree with most things except enchanters, cause they do come in handy more than just with vayne, there is plenty of other hyper carry champs and Lulu/Nami, for example, are just too OP not to play them IMO. Sometimes you also need a break from being the first guy in when playing Leona/Naut etc. and just chill in the back, saving lives =) Also, u neglected ap carry mages like Zyra/Brand which can almost solo carry games on low elo. Even on higher elos I was frequently topping dmg with Zyra. Then there is Renata Glasc, if u know against what teams to pick her you can have so much impact or even turn a lost game on its head.Crazy champ when u learn to play her. Try it out!
You're amazing :') ❤️
Thank you so much ☺️
Wow, I wish there was a guide like this for jungle.
